Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Just then, a young woman suddenly shouted, ”Why are we women being excluded? Are good opportunities only for men? Can’t we women fight too?”

With those words, silence fell all around.

The young woman thought her words had an effect, but as she looked around, she saw that the other women were not in agreement and instead instinctively distanced themselves from her.

Resentment mixed with fear surged in her heart.

But before she could speak again, a crisp gunshot made everyone shiver.

He Jie twisted his neck, not even glancing at the fallen woman, and sneered, ”Messing with the truth in front of me? Do you think I have a stick in my pants?”

All the doubts in people’s minds vanished in an instant.

They suddenly remembered that the other side wasn’t a regular army before the apocalypse, but an armed force after it.

When they were first captured, three people were killed immediately!

As He Jie’s gaze swept over them again, everyone lowered their heads in fear.

But besides violence, He Jie also showed something else, and that was the authority of the core members!

The power of life and death at will!

Some who were quick to think snapped out of their intimidated state.

If I join the Armed Train, wouldn’t I also have a chance to gain the power he holds?

But there were also those who couldn’t hide the anger in their eyes.

He Jie didn’t care at all; on the entire Armed Train, besides Su Huan, he carried the most lives on his back.

Not just these survivors, even some of the armed soldiers around might have a hard time with him.

After all, back then, it was a competitive selection, and standing out among three thousand people meant he’d offended many.

If glares could kill, he would have been hacked to pieces long ago.

”I also want to participate in the assessment.”

A clear voice rang out.

He Jie turned in surprise, and saw another young girl stepping forward. Her eyes were filled with hostility, her body trembled slightly with fear, but she stood firm.

”Not bad, you’re much stronger than that one who can only whine.”

He Jie grinned, his smile sinister.

”But I won’t relax the assessment standards just because you’re pretty. Everyone here can participate in my assessment, regardless of age or gender. As long as you meet my standards, you can become a reserve in the Armed Corps. As long as your rank in the Corps is high enough, you can do anything!”

The woman took a deep breath, staring intently into He Jie’s eyes, and said seriously, ”If my rank is higher than yours in the future, can I also make you apologize?”

The soldiers nearby, Licking Rabbit, Qu Hang, and others, looked as if they’d seen a ghost.

This scenario seemed familiar.

Back in training, someone had said something similar to the hot-tempered He Jie, but it was even more piercing and offensive, involving Han Qin and her daughter.

Latter that guy became one of the only two accidental deaths in the whole training.

That was before the apocalypse occurred.

No one knows what method the company used to cover it up.

Licking Rabbit began to reassess this woman.

Her face was small and delicate, when she spoke, you could see two sharp canines, her pupils, under the light, leaned slightly to an amber hue, narrowing like elongated ovals, similar to some small felines.

’No wonder she has the confidence, she’s an Evolver.’

Licking Rabbit realized but wasn’t hopeful for her.

”Hah?”

He Jie exaggeratedly dug his ear.

He walked forward, the pressure of a Tier One Evolver unleashed without restraint, he slightly bent to point a thick finger at her smooth forehead, his expression terrifying and fierce, ”You say you want a rank higher than mine and shit down my neck?”

The woman stared coldly at him, ”Not shit down your neck, make you apologize!”

He Jie growled, ”That’s the same as shitting down my neck!”

”Think what you want!”

”Apologize to who?”

”To her!” The woman pointed to the corpse on the ground that couldn’t rest in peace, then pointed to herself, firmly saying, ”To me!”

He Jie licked his teeth, the muscles under his combat uniform bulging, the turbulent heat evaporating the acid rain on the surface, exuding a metallic, bloody smell like a terrifying beast!

Everyone’s hearts were in their throats, fearing that He Jie would suddenly erupt and kill.

Suddenly, a gentle voice came from outside.

”Oh dear, what did I just hear? Our reserve recruit challenging Captain He?”

With a clank, the two metal doors opened, and a tall, handsome figure walked in from outside. He wasn’t wearing any professional combat gear, just a black long-sleeved shirt, with sleeves rolled up. On his left shoulder, he carried a sniper rifle as long as a person, and his right hand dragged a small mountain-sized Tier One Spinodog, a subtle smile on his lips.

Blood formed a crimson carpet behind him, which was then washed away and diffused by the acid rain, staining the platform crimson.

”Train Conductor.”

As Su Huan walked in step by step, the surrounding soldiers stood at attention and sounded off.

Even He Jie straightened up and nodded slightly, ”Train Conductor.”

Looking at the respectful demeanor of He Jie and others, everyone was inexplicably shaken.

Firmly imprinting Su Huan’s face into their minds.

Su Huan casually tossed the Spinodog to the ground and sat on it with a broad stance, smiling, ”Sorry, Captain He, I was so busy training troops that I didn’t call you during the hunt.”

He Jie grunted, if not for the many people giving the Train Conductor face, he would’ve complained even if he was beaten up like a dog today.

Su Huan turned to look at the woman, kindly reminding her, ”Even though our Captain He is ruthless, his rank is truly high.”
