Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Didn’t you make me like this?

And now you’re mocking me as a fool in front of a beauty.

Thinking of this, a nameless fire of resentment burned even fiercer.

Why not just finish him off once and for all?

That way, not only could I get revenge, but this cold and enchanting woman would be mine!

Across from him, Wang Fei’s mocking eyes were full of murderous intent.

A wretched man still dreaming of sharing his woman.

What a fantasy!

Not only is Zhang Min his, but so is the entire Scrap Iron City!

The flames of enmity instantly consumed their reason.

And their subordinates were no better, each one glaring at their foes with hatred, their hands already on the triggers.

Even the most timid ones held onto their metal rods, glancing at Zhang Min.

Without any warning, the war resumed.

The two groups clashed like roosters in a frenzied fight.

Showing no intention of dodging.

Face-to-face combat, gunfire exchanged fiercely, epitomizing action movie-style tough guys.

In the eye of the gunfire storm, the woman showed no fear, smiling like a wickedly blooming mandrake flower.

The gray-blue smoke was like a thin veil over her body, tracer bullets glided past her porcelain neck, as if fireworks coronating a queen.

Her tongue slowly curled around the specks of blood splattered on the tiger’s mouth, then spat them out disdainfully.

Zhang Min watched the slaughter triggered by her with little interest, a sickly flush appearing on her face, lost in thought.

Thirty seconds later, when the last gunshot ceased.

Only a few people remained standing.

Ma Baozi’s face was riddled with holes.

Wang Fei fared no better, covered in gun wounds; if not for the strong physique of a defender, he would be dead by now.

Even with a foggy mind, he felt something was wrong.

Since when did he become so impulsive?

Seeing the last few men being easily dispatched by Zhang Min, he realized it was her doing.

Tactical boots crushed the tiny gravel, treading on sticky flesh, as she walked step by step towards him.

Zhang Min looked down at the man beneath her like mud.

Even in this state, his eyes showed disdain as if she was still the woman beneath him, trying hard to survive.

Her shallow thoughts were easy to see through.

As long as I have had you, your image is fixed forever in that bed.

Only the conductor was different.

Whether she was plain or neatly dressed, he cared only for her intrinsic value.

The purest joys and sorrows.

She felt as if she understood Su Huan, even if just a little on the surface.

Thinking of this, Zhang Min suddenly lost interest in observing Wang Fei, she aimed her gun at his head.

”Boring.”

Frustration, hatred, malice… all kinds of negative emotions instantly filled Wang Fei’s chest.

Blood foamed out of his mouth, he tried to speak but could only utter two words.

”Bitch.”

With a gunshot, a surge of negative emotions fed back into the ”Seed of Hatred.”

The pistol returned to the holster on her thigh as the silver motorcycle roared deeply, rushing along the railway, leaving behind a scene of blood and flesh devoid of desire.

...

The train crawled slowly along the tracks at 3~5km/h.

Interestingly, an enormous eight-meter-tall Iron-Eating Tree walked alongside the armed train at the same pace.

Two people were engaged in lively conversation, one standing on the second level of the train, the other on the tree’s crown.

”Did you raise this tree from a young age?”

Su Huan placed his hand on the window, releasing a slight current to discreetly push away the Iron-Eating Tree’s branches from the train.

The Iron-Eating Tree held up its blackened branches, showing them to the young man, like a child feeling wronged.

The young man, standing on the tree, chuckled, taking the branch, rubbed off the black soot from the bark, shook his head, and said, ”This tree is more than fifty years old. It just happened to grow outside my home, and I’ve been hanging my clothes on it since I was a kid, hiding behind it when I got spanked.”

”Later, I went out looking for food and got chased by zombies. In a panic, I climbed up the tree, and it surprisingly moved and killed the zombies for me. After spending some time together, I found it liked to eat metal, so I took it around to find metal to eat and named it ’Xiang Liu’...”

The young man was quite talkative, perhaps because it was rare to meet someone who also ”mastered” the apocalypse, one with a modified train, the other with an evolved plant.

Su Huan asked suspiciously, ”Xiang Liu isn’t a tree, is it?”

”Who cares, it sounds nice anyway. By the way, where are you guys coming from?”

The young man casually asked.

”Have you heard of Wen’an?”

”Uh…”

”Mojiang.”

”That I know, a Mojiang City with a river-spanning bridge, right?”

”Yes, we came over that bridge.”

”How nice, when I graduated, I wanted to travel there. The train just happens to pass over the bridge to see if the views are as grand as people say. In the blink of an eye, seven or eight years have passed…”

Su Huan recalled the surging Mojiang that night, sighed, ”It was indeed grand, with many lovely little creatures. By the way, what do you plan to do now?”

’Lovely little creatures?’

The young man showed a hint of confusion, but before he could ponder it, he patted the empty water tank behind him and said.

”It’s too dangerous outside now. Many people are hiding at home, afraid to come out. I shuttle through the city delivering supplies to those in need, earning some rewards.”
