Armed Train in the Apocalypse

The armored troop carrier led the way, its assault rifle accurately firing bursts that instantly tore through the small zombie horde led by a Tier One Butcher.

Crushing over countless remnants, it delved deeper into Shun’an.

...

The outskirts of Shun’an, in the direction of the abandoned Metal City.

The crackling of gunfire had ceased for half an hour.

Wang Fei crouched behind a gantry crane, loading bullets into his pistol with his head down, and shouted, ”Brother Ma, I’m out of bullets, why don’t we call a truce?”

Hiding in the scoop of an excavator, Ma Baozi sneered, pulling at the wound on his lips, grimacing in pain.

His heart filled with resentment, but he feigned loyalty, ”Then come on out, we’re good brothers after all, of course I’ll give you a chance.”

Since the armored train left, the two had turned against each other and started fighting.

They had been in a standoff for several hours, leaving behind over a dozen bodies, most of whom were Ma Baozi’s men.

If there was anywhere to escape to, they would have scattered long ago.

They exhausted all kinds of dirty tricks, but neither could finish off the other.

Now, neither dared to come out, so they could only hold on.

A gentle breeze blew past, and the iron frames corroded by acid rain emitted a low mournful wail in the wind.

Suddenly, distant engines roared, tearing through the congealed silence.

The two men each poked their heads out, looking toward the distant Metal City.

A silver streak pierced through the dust.

A rider lay low on the streamlined bike, its body reflecting the cold glare like liquid mercury, the ground trembling beneath, crushed metal parts sparking beneath its tires. The helmet’s visor was jet black, like an abyss, with a lock of dark red hair swirling in the gale, like the trails of unfrozen blood.

Ma Baozi looked apprehensive, having just sent off one formidable dragon, another one arrives.

These past few days in Shun’an have truly been lively!

”Younger Brother Wang, you’ve witnessed much, who is this strong one now?”

As Wang Fei saw that silver lightning, his mind exploded in an instant.

Except for not discharging electricity, this looked exactly like the rider who charged at the Steel Council that night!

He gaped, a little bewildered, ”No, this isn’t right... didn’t the train leave?”

The motorcycle drew closer, and that graceful figure evoked a strange familiarity in him.

The bike suddenly screeched to a halt, its front wheel half a meter off the ground, slamming down, the air blast flipping empty oil drums upside down.

The knight removed her helmet with one hand, revealing a woman’s sharp brows and eyes, a hideous scar bisecting her beautiful face.

Wang Fei slapped his thigh sharply, trembling with excitement.

Though her demeanor had changed significantly, those eyes, that figure, wasn’t it Zhang Min, that bitch!

Originally thought this woman perished at the Steel Council, yet here she was, still alive, seemingly doing quite well.

Looking at that motorcycle, she must have scored a lot at the Steel Council.

Seeing her, Wang Fei couldn’t help but recall those scenes, the woman was very obedient back then.

He immediately shouted, ”Brother Ma, I know this woman, show me some face, let’s stop for now and collaborate on another job, how about it?”

”Screw you, I’m called Leopard! Your mother is the pockmarked one!”

Ma Baozi cursed without giving him any face.

A glint of maliciousness flashed in Wang Fei’s eyes, ”Brother Leopard, what’s the point of banter now, look at that woman down there, her twisting waist is quite a treat, and she’s only eighteen, aren’t you tempted to taste?”

Ma Baozi paused on his side, asking suspiciously, ”You really know her?”

”Of course!” Wang Fei licked his lips, a fiery gleam in his eyes, ”Don’t be fooled by her icy demeanor, this bitch can dance, and she can do a full split right over her head!”

”But in this situation, even if I trust you, my brothers don’t trust you.”

Ma Baozi’s voice came from behind the shovel.

Wang Fei watched the woman who was now walking toward the gantry crane and glanced at his men who were almost beside Ma Baozi, deciding quickly, ”Xiaozhang, come back!”

The subordinate hesitated, glanced at Ma Baozi just a few steps away, and slowly retreated.

Wang Fei shouted, ”My guy here is an Evolver, from just now at that distance, if he fired a bolt of electricity, you, Brother Leopard, would be flayed even if you didn’t die today.”

After speaking, he boldly walked out from behind the cover.

Ma Baozi glanced at the subordinate named Xiaozhang, a cold sweat trickling down as panic gripped his heart.

Watching Wang Fei walk out openly, he hesitated a moment but still decided to come out.

However, this time he kept a cautious distance from Wang Fei; he is the ”Maker,” Wang Fei is the ”Protector.” It was due to being too close previously, and the other side’s sudden strike left him with no ability to counterattack.

Seeing the leaders on both sides come out, the underlings emerged one after another, each warily observing the opponents.

”What do you plan to do?”

Ma Baozi asked cautiously.

Wang Fei cheerfully holstered his pistol, ”No need to worry about that, she’s just an ordinary woman, even if by luck she’s become an Evolver, she’s about the same as us.”

The two groups colluded once again, despite being despicable.

Meanwhile, Zhang Min also arrived at the front of the gantry crane.

The black rider’s helmet in hand was perfectly balanced on her curvaceous hips, high-elastic tactical pants wrapped around her thighs as they moved gracefully, her dark red eyes dreamily gazing at the railway’s end.

Thanks to Yu Yue’s two unknown potions and Su Huan’s abandoned heavy motorcycle, she narrowly survived the zombie horde.

The ”Seed of Hatred” took root and sprouted; she gained complete mastery over her abilities.

After healing, she grew even stronger.

As long as she hated someone, or was hated by someone, she could continuously receive nourishment, feeding the fire known as ”Grudge.”

This flame doesn’t burn material substances, but it ignites the negative emotions within all sentient beings’ hearts.

Whether hatred, desire, anger...

She could amplify and burn them all, then transform it into new nourishment to fortify the flame.

Until it consumes the target completely.

And the Level 1 ”Seed of Hatred” told her, her target was up ahead.

”You really survived!”

An excited voice came from above, ”Bang,” and a slightly surprising figure for her jumped down.

An ill-fitting jacket, greasy long hair, and a thick stubble she almost didn’t recognize.

After thinking for a while, she retrieved from memory this disgusting figure.

If her feelings towards Su Huan were of hatred mixed with extreme complexity, then towards Wang Fei, she felt purely disgusted.

Merely a mangy dog fortunate enough to disgust her, a rotting piece of meat, a blob of mud that couldn’t stick to the wall, even less than Su Huan.

Not worth remembering for even a moment.

Zhang Min glanced disdainfully at the eyes of desire behind him, contempt reaching its pinnacle in her heart.

She had seen too many eyes like that; if it were before, she might play around with them, but now she found it dull.

These men could no longer pique her interest.

”Playing cool with me, huh?” Wang Fei, looking at the woman with disgust in her eyes, felt his malicious thoughts soar, sneering, ”Forgot how you moaned and begged back then?”

Behind him, Ma Baozi appraised Zhang Min, initially unimpressed, but upon closer inspection, the amazement in his eyes was barely concealed.

No wonder Wang Fei wanted to call for a ceasefire to get this one deal done.

Such a stunning beauty, he couldn’t resist either!

Zhang Min cast a cold look at them, her red lips parting, ”So it’s you, this trash, once had a few underlings, now they’re all pig-heads.”

The sarcasm was sharp and biting.

Everyone was momentarily stunned.

Wang Fei and his lot instinctively turned to look at Ma Baozi, their lips twitching, looking more like a pig’s head the more they stared, unable to hold back laughter, bursting into chuckles.

The boisterous laughter was like a fuse, and the surrounding men couldn’t help but laugh too.

Listening to the wild laughter one by one, Ma Baozi felt humiliated, the feeling of being insulted surged in his heart.
