Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Because of his long neck, he was given the codename Giraffe.

Another one was called Bai Lu, not the ’white’ for fair-skinned, but the ’bai’ in idiot.

Su Huan was noncommittal and pointed to the thirty-something ironwood blocks on the ground, ”Take them.”

Then he walked towards the back of the second floor of the train and casually asked, ”What do you think the next upgrade for the armored train should be?”

Giraffe hesitated.

He was not quite used to the train conductor’s style of speaking.

Was the upgrade direction of the train something he, as a new recruit, should consider?

”Speak your mind, or I’ll think you’re cursing me in your heart.”

Su Huan glanced at him with a sarcastic smile.

Giraffe glanced at his teammates and found Bai Lu looking at him with curiosity, cursed ’idiot’ in his heart, and said helplessly, ”I think it should detach from the tracks...”

Seeing that Su Huan didn’t interrupt, Giraffe continued with his reasoning.

”Without considering the maintenance of the tracks, the route of the train is just too rigid. Whether it’s searching for supplies or combat... it’s easy to be targeted.”

Giraffe didn’t dare to delve too deep and simply shared his thoughts.

Su Huan nodded thoughtfully.

Next, whenever he passed by someone, he would ask the same question.

Listening to their opinions.

Wan Xing: ”Fly.”

’What an extraordinary woman.’

Su Huan didn’t dare to ask again and walked towards Huang Sea’s farm car.

Huang Sea was feeding a piece of metal scrap to the Iron-Eating Tree. Hearing the question, he thought seriously and said, ”Multi-level carriages, carriages even larger and broader than they are now.”

Su Huan looked up.

The second-floor modification of carriage No. 7 was complete, unlike other carriages where the first and second floors were completely separated by a floor.

A large space was left in the middle of the farm carriage, like an atrium in a mall, vertically transparent and well-lit.

Greenery abounds on both sides, sunlight streaming in from the upper and lower windows, resembling a Druid’s ’church’ and ’cabin’.

Though seemingly incongruous, the three words fit together perfectly here.

No. 7 carriage is similar to a church in lighting, but a church is not this narrow nor does it have so many plants.

”You mean opening up a third level?”

Su Huan flicked the Fresh Grass beside him, and the winding vines retreated shyly.

Then, the moment he retracted his hand, it suddenly sprang out.

Even creating a small sonic boom.

For safety’s sake, not all the mutant plants obtained in the experimental tower were planted, though a few dangerous mutant plants were added to the functional crops.

Fresh Grass is a vine that can purify the air.

Calling it a vine isn’t quite accurate, as many mutant plants can now extend movable branches.

However, Fresh Grass does not actively attack people; its attacks are subconscious counterattacks, so you should be careful not to step on it as you pass by.

Huang Sea also prunes regularly, so it’s not very dangerous.

”Two levels are already quite high, almost hitting the national standard height limit. I mean to widen the car body, but that may add some load concerns, and we might need to consult Professor Ma and the others.”

Huang Sea took scissors from his suit pocket and cut off the long tip of the Fresh Grass.

The latter immediately curled up and no longer spread into the aisle.

”Widening, huh...”

Su Huan pinched his chin, ”It’s also a method to expand the space.”

”By the way, in a few days when the chicks grow up, we can slaughter the big rooster for meat.” Huang Sea pointed to the big rooster leisurely strolling among the mutant plants on the second floor.

The big rooster was fighting with the spreading steel wire grass.

A few small hens followed behind it.

With a peck from its bright yellow beak, the sturdy steel wire grass, tough as wire, was instantly severed, dropping into the chicken’s mouth.
