Chapter 845: A Battle between Archers(End)

Following the disappearance of the blue light, the battle arena was undamaged.

[Ding!]

The bell rang not long after, announcing the start of the eighty-seventh round.

The battle arena had grown after the last round like it usually did. It was now as vast as a continent. If the current level Cosmic Elf were to be placed in the Sacred dimension, her strength would be equivalent to an average intermediate Divine Transformation level cultivator. So even this large arena was nothing in front of them. It took even less the one-tenth of a second for the skill arrow to reach one end from the other.

”You have three strikes. If you succeed in breaching the 90 cm radius around me, you will get those chances again,” Aakesh announced at the start of the battle like last time.

This time, Aakesh decreased the breaching mark by ten cm since Aakesh could sense that the strength of the current Elf had grown tenfold, if not more when compared with the last round Cosmic Elf.

Aakeshʼs strength was still overwhelming when compared with the Elf, but since Aakesh wanted to test his skills, he decided to decide on the breaching limit based only on his skill.

Aakesh perceived that the Elf would be able to breach the meter mark only in the first shot. Aakesh was never one to underestimate his opponent and overestimate himself, so he announced, considering all the factors.

The Elfʼs eyes finally saw an expression other than enthusiasm. She felt joy since Aakeshʼs announcement meant that her skills were forcing Aakesh to fight. The result may be one-sided, but neither party cared about it. They only wanted to fight and enjoy the thrill that archery brought.

Since the bell had already rung, the battle could be started anytime.

The Elf aimed her bow toward Aakesh as she stretched the bowstring. This time, the Elf didnʼt use any skilled arrows but ordinary energy arrows.

Whoosh!

The arrow flew, tearing through the air. The distance between Aakesh and the Elf was around a few hundred miles. Still, it took even less than a second to cross that mark and reach Aakesh.

Aakesh was already ready with his shot, as when the arrow was only a few meters away from the breaching mark, he shot one.

Clang!

A loud metallic sound rang as sparks emerged in the area after the two arrowheads clashed with each other.

Both arrows seemed to want to defeat the other at all costs, so the clash continued for a while. In the end, Aakeshʼs arrow came out on top.

After killing the Elfʼs arrow, it flew toward the owner. She seemed to not care at all about the shot, as when it reached her, she casually grabbed it as if she were plucking some flowers.

The next moment, the arrow turned to ashes in her hands.

Time continued to pass by as Aakeshʼs wait for a full-fledged battle with the Elf approached closer.

[Ding!]

As the ring announcing the ninety-seventh contest rang in the area, the battle both parties had been hoping for finally arrived.

Both Aakesh and the Elfʼs strengths reached equal levels. Whether there was a difference between their archery skills or not, it would show in this battle.

Aakesh didnʼt give the three strikes to the Elf this time. In fact, he took the initiative as he aimed his bow toward the Elf and fired a shot.

The Elf had expected this situation to arrive, but since she had gotten used to being the one to take initiative, she also took a shot at the same time.

BOOM!

The battle between the two parties began with an explosion. The sound hadnʼt even subsided when another explosion rocked the sky.

The battleground for the stage had already reached a mid-level world size. The length between one side and the other end was greater than several hundred thousand miles, while the two opponents stood at a distance of seventy thousand miles. And yet, several arrows of them had clashed when not even a second had passed.

These werenʼt the skill arrows, but the usual energy arrows. Yet when they clashed, the consequent explosion was intense enough to destroy galaxies.

(A/N: The galaxies of the Primal dimension. In the Sacred dimension, these wouldnʼt even be enough to destroy an area similar to the storeʼs area.)

The explosions continued to rock the sky as both sides released one arrow after another.

The clash wasnʼt of the same intensity, as Aakesh was never one to allow his opponent to settle down in an equal battle.

Sometimes he increased the strength, while sometimes he released the arrow differently.

But the Elfʼs archery skills were finally proving themselves in an equal battle. No matter what variation Aakesh used, the Elf would match it, resulting in an explosion.

The scene looked right out of a dream as the sky was filled with different lights from explosions.

The wind, which was already moving at a rate of eighty million miles per hour, had grown even further due to the constant explosions.

Both parties seemed to be unaffected by the change in the windʼs movement as they continued doing what they were doing.

They even forgot the count of how many times they had clashed when the wind finally began to affect them.

The battleground wasnʼt going to be simple, as it also increased the challenge faced by Aakesh.

Every shot needed to be controlled as it could come to bite him back as the wind began to move in the opposite direction.

The only fortunate thing in this case was his unlimited endurance. Due to the windʼs movement, Aakesh was using almost three times the strength he was using earlier. In the meantime, the Elfʼs difficulties had waned.

The way things were going, Aakesh was confident that the battle would go on for centuries before the other party got tired.

The Elf also felt the same. She wanted to defeat Aakesh at his peak, so they gave up on this childish clash and began to use skill arrows.

Time continued to fly without anyone stopping it.

The Elfʼs gaze was both hot and tired. Both sides seemed to be at their limits in terms of what kind of archery genius they could summon.
