The First Store System

Chapter 830: Closing the Store!

”Congratulations, store owner,” Favan enthusiastically greeted Aakesh as he reached the store. His tone had never been more respectful than at this moment.

Aakesh only stared at Favan in response. Favanʼs smile turned awkward, but he still added.

The next moment, Favan shared the information he knew about Garounʼs father with Aakesh. The image of Aakesh had turned even taller in his heart when Favan overheard Aakesh asking for compensation from Garounʼs father. It was entirely out of his expectations.

Favan believed Aakeshʼs background to be unfathomable for even the likes of the city leader, so he never expected someone from that extensive background to ask for compensation.

Favan thought Aakesh wanted to humiliate the Divine Lord father and desired to remove him to further cement his status in the city.

If Aakesh knew what Favan was thinking, he would only smile. Aakesh didnʼt care about Garounʼs fatherʼs existence, nor did he have any grand plans to cement his status by killing a Divine Lord. His aim was straightforward, and he only wanted Sacred stones from Garounʼs father.

Aakesh seemed disinterested in hearing about Garounʼs father, so when he got bored, he told Favan to stop.

Favan took the refusal to know about Garounʼs father as another of the store ownerʼs grand plans, so he bowed and left the store.

After Favan came out of the store, his face turned disappointed. He had a goal of sharing Garounʼs information with Aakesh.

The thing he lacked the most was Sacred stones to continuously grow into a large fish in Panagea. Earlier, he had gotten a lesser Sacred stone from the store owner, which was worth hundreds of usual lesser Sacred stones. He hoped to get one more from the store owner. But since the store owner had his own plan, Favan didnʼt get one.

After Favan left, Aakesh closed his eyes and began another of his relaxation session.

Time continued to move by, ignoring the storm going on in Thorr city. In the blink of an eye, several hours had passed.

Around an hour was left before sunset when the silence in the store suddenly broke down. Out of nowhere, a door emerged, floating in mid-air, and soon after, stairs connecting it to the floor made of stones appeared.

The door opened with a click, and a furry creature stepped out of the door. It was none other than Lily.

Lilyʼs eyes looked to be filled with grave tension, but when her eyes fell on the smiling Aakesh, her eyes lightened up as he jumped up on Aakeshʼs head after coming down the stairs.

”What happened to you?” Aakesh had noticed grave eyes of Lily, so he gently asked.

”Hmph, that bastard betrayed me,” Lily scowled as her temper flared after Aakesh asked.

”Didnʼt we see it from the start?” Aakesh smiled.

Lily had been in control of the territory for hundreds of years, so in those hundred years, she had come across many subordinates.

One such subordinate was Gary. Gary was linked to a Kingdom of the past. He had his goals when he joined Lily. The difference in strength between both parties wasnʼt much since they were of the same goal.

After learning about Garyʼs past, Aakesh had warned Lily about the betrayal. At this moment, Gary provided a boost of help to Lily, so she went ahead.

Today was finally the day when Gary showed his true colors and betrayed Lily. His betrayal came with a large cost, so Lily was in a bad mood all day.

Now that she was in front of Aakesh, the feeling she had been hiding in his heart all day came out.

Aakesh didnʼt stop Lily and let her vent as time continued to pass.

Thorr city and a few nearby cities embraced darkness as the sun finally set and brought the day to an end.

Meanwhile, the store that had today made a lasting impression on Thorrons closed its doors as well. Thorr city was active at night as they were in the day, so many store owners were still seated inside their stores.

When Aakesh closed the door to the store, they heaved sighs of relief since they had been feeling a mountain in their hearts after learning about the massacre that had been played out on the eastern seventeenth street.

Unaware of the storm going in the hearts of the people on the seventeenth street, Aakesh connected the latch and closed the door, bringing an end to another unfruitful day for the store.

Aakesh then looked at the quest screen. The number of customers yet left was still ten, while the time left had turned five from six days.

Aakesh turned around and looked at Lily, who finally had a normal expression since an hour of venting worked for her mind.

The next moment, they disappeared from the store and appeared in the selection area.

Lily chose her only training environment and pressed the switch. The next moment, the space cracked open and formed a portal that sucked her inside.

After Lily left, Aakesh went to the weapon section and randomly picked one. Aakesh had closed his senses, so he also didnʼt know what weapon he had chosen. He would only find it in the training area.

Aakesh then chose his training environment and pressed the switch. The similar phenomena as earlier occurred once again and sucked him inside.

The next moment, Aakesh appeared in the familiar battle arena, with a regular blue screen popping out in front of him.

Aakesh ignored the blue screen and focused on the weapon he had chosen today. It was a pair of gloves that amplified Aakeshʼs physical power.

Aakesh then returned his focus to the blue screen and tapped on his usual choice.

The next moment, Aakesh heard a cry aimed at him.

As he turned around, Aakeshʼs sight came across his opponent for the day. It was a humanoid creature, one-fourth the size of Aakesh, and it had three pairs of hands. Each hand carried a sword of similar stature.

Time continued to pass by, and the silence in the selection area suddenly broke down as a portal emerged, and Aakesh stepped out of it.

More time passed by, and Thorr city welcomed the first ray of light. With it, a store on the seventeenth street opened its door.
