The First Store System

Chapter 838: A New Day for the Store(5)

”Thank you, store owner!” Garos thanked Aakesh. His aura entirely different from earlier. His tone was not only sincere, but it also sounded confident.

Aakesh seemed as expressionless as before and only stared at Garos in response.

”Store owner, how long will it take for your store to begin selling pills?” Garos ignored Aakeshʼs stare and asked. His tone neither compliant nor discourteous. But if someone were to be here, they would become shocked since this tone meant treating the other person as a peer at the same level. In the majorityʼs eyes, how could an early Divine Transformation and an intermediate Divine Lord be equal?

”Tomorrow if things work out for the best, or it could also take several days,” Aakesh replied since it was a question related to the store.

Garos didnʼt speak right away but heaved a sigh of relief in his heart. From the way things were going on with Elera, she only had a few more months left to live. Since it wouldnʼt take months for the pills to arrive, it meant Elera had a chance of survival.

Garos didnʼt fail at what he had set out to achieve. He promised Elera that he would cure her, and now he would return with it. As for Garounʼs revenge, Garos decided to end things with only a memorial ceremony for Garoun. There was no way he could now even think of killing the store owner.

The store owner already had stronger people around him, so it was impossible for him. Even if he had the ability, he wouldnʼt do it since Elera finally found a way to return to her usual self.

”Store owner, I will return tomorrow to check on the status of the pill,” Garos excitedly said, as he wanted to return to Elera as soon as possible and share this piece of news with her.

”No need to come! Unless you pay the asked compensation, you will be blocked from buying anything from the store,” Aakesh responded expressionlessly.

Since Aakesh wasnʼt strong enough to subdue Garos without the systemʼs help, the point of compensation was pushed back. But Aakesh had another power; he was the store owner. As a store owner, he had the authority to block someone.

The system was fair for every customer, but that didnʼt stop Aakesh from announcing it to Garos. Garoun had plotted against the store, and there were bound to be consequences for him and his family. Garoun was already dead, and as for other family members, the system didnʼt care if Aakesh wanted to block them.

Garos, who wanted to leave the store in a hurry, suddenly stopped. Garosʼs face lost all of its excitement, as though a bucket of cold ice water had been dumped on it when he had just felt a warm temperature after braving the freezing cold.

))”>(A/N: Thank god, I am not Garos())

Garos looked in shock at Aakesh and then cursed himself in his heart. He had forgotten this point in the excitement of the breakthrough and the treatment.

Garos hurriedly attempted to coax the store owner, only to find that there was no way other than paying the compensation.

Since things had evolved to such a point, Garos decided to be brave and pay what the store owner asked of him.

Divine Lords could use their inner world to store items, so they didnʼt need space rings.

The next moment, a list appeared in Garosʼ hands. It was a list of the wealth he had.

Garos had used one of his own creations to handle his accounts, and he had only gotten the list from the man.

Garos took a deep breath as he felt a pang in his heart. The next moment, he acted bravely and handed the list to Aakesh.

”Store owner, this is my total wealth,” Garos said. ”You can select what you want from it,” he added. The next moment, a wave of weakness hit his heart, and he almost stumbled. But Garos controlled himself and didnʼt take the list back.

Aakesh seemed to have no interest in the list, as he didnʼt extend his hands to grab it. At that moment, Garos was dumbfounded since he couldnʼt guess just what the store owner wanted from him.

Garos didnʼt have to stay like that for long, as the next moment, the store owner opened his mouth and said, ”I have no interest in what items you own. Calculate your total worth in Sacred stones, and then give one-fourth of that to me,”

Hearing the store ownerʼs demand, Garos felt a wave of relief surround his heart. Since he didnʼt want to lie, he sincerely added everything he owned to that list.

There were many items that held extraordinary value in his heart, but for the sake of Elera, he decided to be brave even if the store owner took them.

Now that he heard the store ownerʼs demand, all the weight from his shoulders disappeared. The most painless item to get for the likes of him was Sacred stones.

The next moment, he waved his hands, and a mountain of stones appeared in the storeʼs hall.

Aakesh only took a glance at it and found the total value of these stones to be several ordinary Sacred stones.

”Store owner, these are all stones I have. After calculating my wealth in Sacred stones, I still owe you this sum.”

”I will return the sum to you as soon as I am able to liquidate my wealth,” Garos stated as he looked at the mountain of Sacred stones.

Aakesh nodded and waved his hands. The next moment, the mountain of stones disappeared from the storeʼs hall and appeared in the systemʼs space.

Garos couldnʼt help but become shocked when he saw the scene. He couldnʼt sense a space ring on the store owner, and yet he witnessed the Sacred stones disappearing into a different space.

Garos would have accepted it if he had sensed the emergence of that invisible energy, but he had sensed nothing. From what Garos could feel, he was confident that it was Aakesh who did everything.

Since Garos didnʼt want to offend Aakesh, he didnʼt dare ask Aakesh about it. But the image of Aakesh had grown even taller in his heart. At the same time, his heart also became calm, thinking that someone like Aakesh would never lie about the effects of the future pill.
