The First Store System

Chapter 827: Talking with the Non-Demon!

The first general took a deep breath as all the other generals looked at him. He understood the blame on his shoulders.

He knew what happened next would decide their survival. The non-demon was only an early Divine Transformation, so killing him was no big task for them. Even if he were some Multiverse-defying talent, the non-demon wouldnʼt survive once all of the generals attacked.

They were more worried about what the gigantic background behind the non-demon would do once they killed him. At the same time, the first general and others were also jealous in their hearts. They couldnʼt help but replace the non-demonʼs position with themselves in their imaginations.

Since reality worked differently than imagination, the first general returned to reality and focused on the task ahead of him.

”I will do it,” The first general stated in response to the calm yet nervous eyes of the generals.

The first general knew he had no choice here, but he still spoke it to make him feel better in his heart, at least.

The other generals could see through what the first general meant, but they were in no mood to play with him, so they nodded their heads while the fourth general told the first general to do it immediately. There was no point in wasting any time. They had no idea of things going on inside the head of the non-demon, but they themselves wanted to leave this area as soon as possible. The pressure of the non-demonʼs background was becoming too much for them to bear.

Seeing the hurried expressions of the generals after the fourth generalʼs order, the first general took a deep breath and decided to bring an end to this matter once and for all.

It all started due to him, so he would also be the one to end it. Even though it was forced on him, he coaxed his heart to believe that he was being magnanimous here.

Since Aakesh had made his decision to end this matter today, he stood patiently at the same spot without interfering in the discussion of the group leaders.

Aakesh had sensed several unfriendly glances toward him, not only from the soldiers but also from the random people on the street.

Aakesh also found the storeʼs only customer looking at him with a nervous expression.

When Favan noticed the store owner was the sole attacker, he was nervous at first. But when he saw one of the goons melting into a pool of blood just from a casual glance, his heart gained confidence.

Then when he saw the store owner killing the second in command of the organization as if he was nothing but an ant, his heart became sure that he wouldnʼt need to stay in fear of Garoun and his goons anymore.

Then he saw the arrival of the guards. Favan didnʼt worry about the soldiers since he could guess the outcome. Even an ordinary citizen of the city knew that rules only applied to those who were weak. Rules were meant to be broken for the strong or those with strong backgrounds. It was also the reason behind many cultivators struggling to increase their cultivation. With strength, they would gain privileges that they could only dream of earlier.

Then Favan heard the heart-rending screams echoing from the building. His heart felt a pleasure like never before at that time.

Favan felt nothing even though a non-demon killed members of his race. In fact, his gaze grew excited. At the same time, he prayed for the same power in his heart.

But as Favan saw the number of soldiers increasing on the street with passing moments, his heart couldnʼt stay calm anymore.

Favan didnʼt care about what happened with the store owner, but he didnʼt want the store to close down due to today. When Favan saw Frederick arriving on the scene, his heart turned cold since he was also a citizen here and knew about the character of Frederick.

But then something unexpected happened. Frederick acted differently than his known personality.

The Frederick, Favan knew, would charge at the store owner without waiting for a reason, crippling him in the process.

But the scene went differently, and Favanʼs heart gained some hope for the survival of the store owner. At the same time, he also prayed in his heart that even if the store owner died, nothing should happen to the store.

Aakesh, who was waiting patiently, suddenly saw the generals dispersing. Aakesh expressionlessly stared at the general with the highest cultivation.

The fourth general felt like he was stared at by a crazy beast when the non-demon looked at him, but he calmed the waves rising in his heart as the first general took a step forward in the direction of the non-demon.

Aakesh also looked in the direction of the first group leader approaching him.

Even though Aakeshʼs face remained expressionless, seeing the approach of one of the group leaders, he heaved a sigh of relief in his heart. From the way the group leader was approaching him, Aakesh understood that the other party had no intentions of fighting.

Aakesh wasnʼt worried about the battle, but since it would mean him losing the only offensive help he had traded with the system, he truly felt relieved. Not even having all the citizens of the Kingdom was worth losing that help, let alone destroying a city.

Since Aakesh managed the store, he was a businessman. Nothing is worse for a businessman than going into a trade knowing it would be a loss from the start.

While Aakesh was celebrating in his heart, the first general cursed in his heart as he felt uncomfortable. He couldnʼt find anything by looking at the non-demonʼs face.

Since when had he faced such humiliation since he became a general? Despite the uncomfortable feeling, he forced it into his heart since he knew his purpose. At the same time, he felt worried since the non-demonʼs side looked to be the winning side even before the battle had begun.

ʼDamn it! I will kill that bastard today,ʼ The first general thought in his heart as he remembered the soldier that informed him about the situation.

If not for the information, he would have been relaxing while someone else would have been in his place.
