The First Store System

Chapter 804: The Store in the Sacred Dimension(2)

Everyone in the crowd turned around in the direction of the voice. Theirs faces turned pale from fright as they saw the identity of the owner.

The man in question was one of the higher-level members of the city guard, and his presence here was nothing ordinary for the people on the seventeenth street.

The manʼs name was Frederick. He was famous for his cruel disposition. But since the things he did was always within the bounds of the law, and since he was also a loyal family member of the city head, the man was slowly gaining ranks in the city guard.

At that moment, the crowd forgot about the store and dispersed before they became prey for the cruel man.

Frederick grinned as he saw the crowd dispersing just by his arrival. He liked seeing the terror in other hearts whenever they saw him.

His eyes then also fell on the building. Frederick couldnʼt help but frown as he had been attempting to buy this land for some time, but even he couldnʼt afford a sum of several ordinary Sacred stones, so his efforts werenʼt bearing fruits.

Frederick then took a step forward and approached the buildingʼs door. The door looked ordinary like the building. It was a manual gate that needed to be locked and unlocked by hand.

Since the door wasnʼt locked from the outside, Frederick believed that the owner was inside.

Knock knock!

Knock knock!

Knock knock!

Frederick gently knocked on the door three times and then waited for the door to open.

While waiting, Frederick was thinking of ways to make the new owner of this land give up on it. Since the only thing going in Frederickʼs favor due to his cruel personality was his work inside the bounds of the law, Frederick only thought of legal ways.

Since the land cost several ordinary Sacred stones, Frederick knew the new owner wasnʼt going to be some weakling that would leave the area just because he was standing there.

Frederick couldnʼt help but frown since it had been several seconds since he knocked, but there was no sense of someone coming at the door.

Frederick tried to listen if there was any sound coming from inside the store, but he heard nothing but complete silence.

Frederick was a late Divine Being level cultivator, so hearing something across a mile wasnʼt a challenging task for him, let alone listening to what was going on beyond a door.

At that moment, Frederick truly became angry as he knocked again on the door. This time, it was a hard knock. Even the people traveling around the building couldnʼt help but stop and look at him.

But when they saw the identity of the knocker, they left the area as quickly as possible.

Seeing people running from him finally made Frederick feel better. But as he looked at the door, his anger grew.

Frederick took a deep breath and knocked again. This time, it was normal.

”Is anyone inside?” Frederick also called out whoever was inside the building.

As usual, no response came to his knocking and calling. Frederick knew if he stayed here for long, his anger would force him to break open the door. Considering that he didnʼt want to break any law, he left the building and proceeded to the administrationʼs office.

Since Frederick couldnʼt contact the owner on a personal level, he decided to find the person through the land records office.

After traveling for several minutes, Frederick finally reached his destination.

The person in charge of land records was none other than the daughter of his cousinʼs sister, so it was easy for Frederick to find out about the land and its owner.

”Uncle, here is the information about the land you asked for,” The niece told Frederick. Her voice was trembling, and her body was also slightly shaking since who didnʼt know Frederickʼs personality?

,m Frederick was in no mood to look at his niece as he snatched the folder from her hands. The niece didnʼt dare to leave since she didnʼt know what her uncle would ask for next.”> ,m Frederick was in no mood to look at his niece as he snatched the folder from her hands. The niece didnʼt dare to leave since she didnʼt know what her uncle would ask for next.

When Frederick opened the folder, a page containing all the information about the land appeared in his hands.

Frederick couldnʼt help but get stunned since there was a blank space in place of the name of the owner and its information. But in the column of the type of the land, ʼownedʼ was clearly written in bold letters.

When Frederick angrily asked his niece about it, even she was stunned since she had never come across anything like it.

Frederick decided to use his contacts and ask someone who held a speaking position in the Thorron tribe.

When he finally got his answer, Frederick lost the will to fight for the land.

His steps were slow while leaving the administration office.

The sentence said by the higher-up was still ringing in his head.

”Stay as far away as possible from coming to any conflict with the owner if you donʼt want to die!”

Without even knowing how much time had passed, Frederick reached the building. His face had an undefeated look as the door was still unlocked from the outside.

Frederick then took a deep breath and left the area. He wasnʼt stupid to test what the elder in the tribe had said. The elder in question was an early Divine Lord level powerhouse. If even someone like him dreads this mysterious owner, he was nothing but an ant.

Aakesh remained unaware that a conflict was on the verge of creation even before he opened the store, and then it got resolved without even him knowing about it.

An unknown amount of time had passed for Aakesh and Lily, as there was no element of time in the travel channel between the dimension.

There was nothing but darkness inside the building since its creation. Suddenly a bright light emerged out of nowhere and lightened it up. The next moment, a stream of white light appeared in the center of the building.

When the white light disappeared, Aakesh and Lily appeared in the store.

They had no idea how much time they had spent while traveling since it felt like a fleeting moment when they finally appeared, but when the space was disintegrating them at the molecular level, they felt eternity had passed.
