System vs Rebirth

Chapter 1438: Fourth Reason

The third prince, on the other hand, wasn’t among the people that Anna stopped. Originally, they prepared the appearance of the third prince at that time. And because Noel also went out, the third prince had to be careful of Noel, which somehow balanced out the battlefield.

However, the third prince actually sneaked around the kingdom using his own network before sending forth his own people to clash with the people from the Ardagan family.

Meanwhile, the third prince was standing outside the capital city. He was still a bit far away as he had just arrived, but the third prince couldn’t help but smile.

”I guess I have managed to fool them.” The third prince, Victor, smiled. ”If I don’t stop the Ardagan family, they have the chance to come to the capital city. That’s why I have to make it a bit too obvious about the route.

”I also want to test how strong the information network of the Ardagan family is. If they can find the route, that means I shouldn’t underestimate their information network.

”They should be able to handle the problem in one way or another. Even if they’re defeated, I have given them some self-preservation items to get away from them.

”Meanwhile, I will get the throne and take over the west. Looking at this situation, I don’t think the crown prince is in this. The second prince has died.

”I have been fighting an invisible shadow who is capable of moving the entire western territories. But there’s only one royalty that is stationed in the west... Don’t tell me, the shadow I have been fighting this whole time is actually the most useless princess, the third princess Wendy?

”If this is true, then that princess is one hell of a princess. To be able to fool the entire kingdom for so long... It’s not an easy feat. No, I might not be able to do it.

”I guess this will be the final battle. I just have to kill both her and my brother and seize the throne.

”Fortunately, I have a lot of channels to enter the capital. Even if Noel Ardagan can see through the route, he won’t be able to know about my position.”

Prince Victor couldn’t help but smile, thinking that this battle was his victory. As long as he seized the west side of the kingdom as well as the remaining nobles in the royal faction, he could definitely get the arbiters and the Tower Association before making his move against Noel Ardagan.

Besides, the third princess’s faction was quite strong as well, so he could absorb it along the way.

That was why he would be the biggest winner after tonight.

”...” Victor couldn’t contain his smile.

He had been waiting for this moment for so long. It was time for him to take the throne.

”Now, I, Victor, am the victor.” Victor pumped his fist, releasing a bit of his energy as he was about to leap to the capital city.

However, he suddenly felt a powerful presence coming from the side, startling him.

”That’s a nice pun, Your Highness.” Noel’s voice echoed in his ears.

”!!!” Victor turned his head to the right, finding Noel’s arrival. His hands were holding his sword, ready to unsheathe it at any moment. ”You... what are you doing here?”

Noel smiled. ”You surely know why I am here.”

”...” Victor gritted his teeth. In an instant, the victory suddenly disappeared. He had known about his prowess against the Supreme Devil, so it would be hard for him to win against Noel. ”If you are here, that means the route...”

”Of course. I leave it to my wife.”

”You’re too complacent, Noel Ardagan. Your wife is good, but she’s not enough to stop my force. Unless you’re taking out the hidden spirit transcendence experts in your city, it’ll be impossible to stop them.

”Besides, I know that you can’t take out those hidden experts because my force will storm your city and wreak havoc there. Congratulations, you have just killed your wife.”

”Kill my wife, huh?” Noel smiled. ”I have never killed my wife. It’s only because I trust her that I know she won’t die. Both of us have challenged death so many times, but here we are, still stubbornly surviving.

”And just like this time, we will stop you.” Noel’s expression turned cold.

The third prince gritted his teeth. From the way Noel talked, it looked like he had made another preparation that he couldn’t think of.

If this were true, then the situation might have become the worst-case scenario for him. But there was no way he could let go of the throne, not when it was within his reach.

”Are you supporting the third princess?”

Noel smiled. ”It’s surprising that you’re able to figure out her identity, but to answer your question, no. I have and will never support anyone from the royal family, especially after what they have done.

”I’m sure that you know what they have done, considering you have done the same to me, Your Highness.”

The third prince, of course, remembered everything. He also tried to kill Noel in the past by simply giving him a mission that could easily kill him or put him in a hard situation. What he didn’t know was that the third prince’s true nature had been shown in the previous life as well, so Noel had no intention of serving anyone.𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

”If you serve no one, then why would you stop me? Stopping me is the same as supporting that princess.”

”Of course not. I’m not stopping you. I don’t know how you’re able to reach the capital city, but I figure if I just wait for you around here, I will find you.

”Why do I want to find you? The answer is rather obvious. For revenge.” Noel smirked.

”!!!” The third prince knew it was a cheap reason. Even if Noel didn’t support Wendy, he still wanted the best for the kingdom. That was why Noel worded it that way.

The third prince’s body instantly unleashed a massive amount of spiritual energy. Noel did the same as he pulled out his sword.

”It looks like the only way for us to achieve what we want is to clash.” Victor’s expression turned dark.

”Yes. I think the same.”

Both of them stared at each other for a few seconds before the pressure coming from their spiritual energy vanished as their bodies disappeared, followed by a thunderous sound of their clash.
