Chapter 1419: Big War is Coming

Anna clicked her tongue. ”My instinct is telling me that the situation doesn’t look as good as we hope.”

Noel frowned. ”Yes. I do think that it’s going to be crazier than anything we have seen so far. The third prince has been waiting for this moment for so many years...

”The problem is how much we can interfere and how much he has prepared...

”This spot will be crucial, so I need you to guard it for me. Don’t let any more men come to the royal capital.”

Anna thought for a moment before saying, ”I do have an idea of how to do that. If we also take into account the preparation of the third prince... If you allow me to do it my way, I will stop them.”

Noel raised his eyebrows. He was also thinking about how to stop them, considering their power to be stronger than theirs.

However, Anna seemed to have beaten him for it. While Noel was the leader of this family, it didn’t mean Anna was just a decoration. She was the second leader of this family.

After seeing her confidence, Noel smiled as though he trusted her, even with her silliest idea. There was no need to add another pointless argument.

Noel nodded and said, ”Do it as you wish, my lady.”

Anna smiled before turning around. ”In that case, I will take my leave now. Due to how little time we have right now, it’s better for me to start our preparation right away.

”Cat. Organize our elites and meet me at that location. I might be a bit late. Harley. I want you to manipulate the information. Can you do it?”

Harley and Laufey paused for a moment before turning to Noel, as if asking for his confirmation.

”In this kind of situation, I trust her more than I trust my brain.” Noel shrugged.

In the end, Noel’s achievement was so high that it overshadowed Anna’s achievement. No one actually knew how much Noel relied on Anna.

However, in all the crazy situations he encountered, Anna had been the one creating the plan to solve them. That was why Noel had no hesitation when he said those words.

For a situation where such unexpected things could occur, Noel would always believe Anna. In fact, if giving her the family head position was required, he would step down without hesitation.

He might be able to predict his enemy’s movement, but no one could think of a crazier plan than Anna.

Besides, this would be a chance for them to finally trust Anna and recognize her ability.

After all, during the final battle against the demon king, he might not be able to give commands all the time. Only he and Anna would have the ability to challenge the demon kings.

With Noel’s confirmation, Harley nodded his head and said, ”I will manipulate all the information and make sure that they won’t spread out and focus on passing this place.”

Laufey nodded in agreement. ”I will prepare our elites right away and reach this position before you finish your preparation, my lady.”

”Thank you.” Anna smiled as she exited the room together with them, leaving only Howard and Noel inside.

Noel turned to Howard. ”I will be leaving this city soon. Tell Sandra to invite Melissa, Rui, Tristan, Rose, and Livia here.

”Also, for the upcoming battle, I don’t think there will be an attack here, but there’s a chance for them to take advantage of this situation as well.

”I want you to work together with the navy to repel any attackers. Tell our airships to watch out for potential attacks. This is a delicate balance. I don’t know how crazy the third prince is going to be, but the crazier he gets, the higher the chance for the Supreme Devil Organization, whom we have pushed back, will return and take advantage of the situation.”

Howard nodded with a solemn expression. After receiving the direct command, he immediately exited the room.

All the people he told Howard to call came not long after.

Noel’s expression had turned grim. ”Tristan. I’m leaving the city for you again.”

”Yes, Master.” Tristan nodded furiously. ”I won’t disappoint you.”

Noel patted his shoulder before shifting his gaze to Rose. ”Please assist him, Rose. Both of you have two tasks.

”Right now, work together with Marquis Stargaze to calm the people in the north.” Noel waved his hand, asking both of them to lend him their ears. He then whispered, ”A big thing will happen in the royal palace.

’Even though they’re united under my banner right now, it might become a sign of weakness as well. I will protect the kingdom, but I will never seek the throne. Keep them in check.’

”!!!” Tristan and Rose looked surprised. It appeared that they would have a change of monarch soon. At that time, the northern lords might try to have Noel sit in that throne due to his genius and strength.

And to stop them, they should work with the new Marquis Stargaze, Anna’s brother.

Noel added, ”Your second task is pretty simple. Keep an eye on the people and check any rumors if there are any. I might just be paranoid, but there’s a chance they will use rumors to shake the foundation of the Ardagan family.”

Tristan bowed. ”I understand, Master. I will not disappoint you.”

Rose nodded solemnly. This time, the task might not be as simple as she originally thought. If the battle for the throne were concluded, there would definitely be a big change across the kingdom, like what happened a few years ago.

What Noel wanted was for the northern lords to remain united and keep their calm. The greed for the throne might end up making them forget that the real threat was the demons waiting for them in their territory.

That was why their role wouldn’t be very visible but extremely crucial.

Noel nodded, satisfied. He then turned to Livia. ”The reason I call you here is simple. Take a look at the people in this room and inform your father. The enemies are coming. I don’t know if those enemies will also be his enemies... All I know is that the prelude to the big war is here.”
