Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 292: Chapter 204: Reversal Series Cuisine (2-in-1)

Naoki returned to the kitchen with three buckets of Reversed Water.

He opened the cabinet, humming a little tune as he took out the ingredients.

The Indeedee sibling standing by curiously asked, ”Ai Yee?”

Naoki chuckled and shook his head, ”No, I don’t need your help this time. I’ll handle it; it’s an experiment.”

Hearing this, the Indeedee sibling nodded. It thought Naoki wanted to try developing a new dish, so it quietly stood by its brother, ready to assist when needed.

However, Naoki wasn’t planning to make anything too complicated.

For the first try, he decided to make a simple bowl of clear soup noodles with this water.

He started by heating the pot, and once the water boiled, he added the noodles. Then, he added sesame oil, salt, chicken essence, soy sauce, and finally some scallions, a few slices of ham, shredded fungus, two slices of baby bok choy, and cracked in a poached egg.

With that, a completely prepared bowl of clear soup noodles was done.

The amber soup kept steaming, with bouncy, flavorful noodles lying in the glossy broth. A plump, white poached egg sat on top, sprinkled with a few green scallions for garnish.

Just the sight of it made one’s mouth water uncontrollably.

”Smells amazing! No wonder it’s me!”

Naoki felt quite proud; his culinary skills were indeed getting more and more superb.

A single serving of noodles made up three bowls in total.

Naoki lined them up on the stove and, looking down, the information on these three bowls of clear soup noodles appeared in his mind.

[Reversing Mask·Heart (S): A delicacy made with river water from the Reversed World and luxurious ingredients.

Cooking Effect: Reversing the Universe, reversing the inner hearts of humans and Pokemon after consumption. Good people become evil, evil people become good, cowards become brave, and selfish people become generous.

Rating: Use with caution!]

”Just as I suspected,” Naoki murmured.

For him and the Pokemon at the ranch, trying this effect would really require careful consideration.

Naoki hesitated internally, staring at the fragrant bowl of clear soup noodles, unsure whether to eat it or not.

He decided to check the other two bowls.

That was a surprise; upon closer inspection, he discovered some differences.

The names of the two bowls remained as Reversing Mask, but the suffixes behind them were somewhat different from the first bowl.

[Reversing Mask·Techniques (S): Reversing the Universe, the effect is to reverse the abilities, aura, and authority of the Pokemon, applicable only to Legendary Pokemon.]

[Reversing Mask·Body (S): Reversing the Universe, reverses the physical capabilities of humans and Pokemon who consume it, making the strong become weak, and the weak as strong as an ox.]

”Huh? Heart, Body, Techniques? Three different effects?” Naoki was surprised.

Heart and Body are relatively easy to understand.

But what does Techniques mean?

Only effective on Legendary Pokemon, reversing their abilities, aura, authority...

Could it be that feeding it to a Legendary Beast like Giratina would reverse it from the Dragon God of Destruction to the Dragon God of Creation?

Besides that, there’s also the Life God Xerneas and the God of Death Yveltal.

If given to them, would their attributes swap?

Naoki was a bit confused.

But his intuition told him that if he really did that, it could potentially cause an ecological imbalance, attracting Zygarde’s attention.

However, when it came to the most suitable Pokemon for this dish, his first thought wasn’t those famous Legendary Beasts, nor the Pokemon on his ranch.

Instead, it was the four Ruinous Pokemon sealed in the Paldea Region—Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, Chi-Yu, Wo-Chien.

Wo-Chien absorbs energy from plant life, causing the surrounding forest to wither instantly and farmland crops to fail.

Ting-Lu causes earthquakes. When it swings its head like a giant cauldron, massive cracks over 50 meters deep appear in the earth.

Chi-Yu is naturally mischievous, controlling 3000-degree flames to melt rocks and gravel to form a lava sea, swimming in it leisurely.

Chien-Pao, innocent and carefree, causes avalanches with a hundred tons of snow just to play freely in it.

If reversed...

Wo-Chien could repel pests and weeds, Ting-Lu could make soil fertile, Chi-Yu could boost fisheries, while Chien-Pao could control snowfall, helping crops to survive winter safely.

Wouldn’t that turn them into the new Bountiful Quartet?

Naoki couldn’t help but be tempted.

He had always had thoughts about these ancient Pokemon, especially the fluffy Chien-Pao. This Ice Type, fluffy snow leopard was perfect for cuddling in the summer.

But he’d held back these thoughts because they brought calamity.

Now it seemed, these could indeed be changed!

Excited, Naoki gradually calmed down.

Because he still didn’t know the current location of these four Pokemon, only that they are sealed in the Ruinous Shrine.

To unseal them, one would have to pull stakes in various places.

Too complicated...

”There’s no hurry for this,” Naoki thought to himself.

Currently, the most important thing is to figure out the specific effects of these three bowls of noodles.

He gave the [Reversing Mask·Techniques], which has no effect on normal Pokemon, to the Indeedee sibling in front of him to taste.
