Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 288: Chapter 202: Giratina Strategy Plan

A large bowl of Poisonous Mushroom Soup remained.

Naoki sat at the dining table, not too eager to drink it this time.

Before that, he had to figure out a few things.

From the Indeedee Sibling and Koraidon, he learned that after drinking the Poisonous Mushroom Soup, he didn’t just collapse on the bed immobile; his consciousness entered the Reversed World.

Correspondingly, if he moved in the Reversed World, his physical self in the real world would also move.

Moreover, the lack of gravity in the Reversed World couldn’t affect him. He thought he was floating, but actually, the brother Indeedee used Psychic to hold him, preventing him from falling off the bed.

”It feels... a bit like wearing a VR headset,” Naoki muttered to himself.

But in that case, things became much simpler.

This meant he wasn’t truly entering the Reversed World but ”seeing” that place through some special means.

”If I move to a more spacious area to drink, will the explorable places increase?” Naoki began to imagine.

He decided to try it on the ranch’s lawn later.

But before that, he needed to develop a detailed plan.

Acquiring the Water of the Reversed World clearly wasn’t simple.

Since he wasn’t truly entering the Reversed World, even without Giratina’s presence, he couldn’t take that water out.

Moreover, as the ruler of the Reversed World, Giratina might not allow anyone to intrude on its domain at will.

Ultimately, everything circled back to Giratina.

To obtain the Water of the Reversed World, a mythical-level ingredient, he must first make contact with Giratina.

Improve its favorability, build a good relationship, and let it ”invite” him into the Reversed World.

Entering openly is certainly better than sneaking in.

But how to do this remained a problem.

Giratina is a violent, destructive Lagendary Beast; its strategy difficulty is certainly not as simple as strategizing a little Eevee.

”What about exchanging with food?” Naoki pondered deeply: ”No, that probably won’t work.”

Legendary Beasts like Giratina typically don’t need to eat; they can sustain themselves by absorbing surrounding energy.

At their level, eating is not a necessity; while gourmet food is appealing, its impact might not be as significant as imagined.

Moreover, he currently had no way to bring food into the Reversed World.

”Maybe try that out when the chance arises.”

Aside from that...

Perhaps he could familiarize Giratina with his presence first, let it get used to it.

Just like some human interactions.

He could visit the Reversed World daily, greet it, chat with it.

Once Giratina could accept his presence and grow accustomed to it, when he suddenly stopped doing this one day...

Naoki began to imagine the results of such actions in his mind.

If this Giratina had a more introverted and insecure personality, it might suspect it did something wrong, feel uneasy, and wish to continue the interaction, allowing him to take the opportunity to advance further.

—But this was obviously an impossible scenario.

With Giratina’s temperament, it might react violently, directly coming after him, and then...

Naoki quickly halted his imagination.

No matter the plan, it couldn’t be completed in a day. To obtain the Water of the Reversed World, he had to endure this lengthy implementation stage.

Naoki named it the ”Giratina Strategy Plan.”

Of course, there was a second method.

For instance, he could recklessly provoke Giratina in the Reversed World.

When Giratina became enraged enough to lose its senses, it would break through dimensions to enter the real world.

At that time, Naoki could rally the entire ranch’s strength to attack this big boss, subdue it, and then use its power to retrieve the Water of the Reversed World.

But Naoki didn’t believe he had that capability, and even if successful, it would end in mutual destruction.

The Water of the Reversed World wasn’t something he absolutely needed, so he preferred to adopt the first plan, which would hardly bring any damage to the ranch.

After brief contemplation, Naoki had already devised a complete and detailed plan in his mind.

He called upon the Indeedee Sibling, asking them to watch over him, then drank the now-cooled Poisonous Mushroom Soup once again.

Immediately, the entire world turned vibrant.

Amidst the spinning and dizziness, Naoki collapsed to the ground with a thud.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself back in the Reversed World once more.

Only this time, he was no longer on the previous Floating Island but was instead hovering in the void.

”As expected, changing position in reality also changes position in the Reversed World,” Naoki silently thought.

He looked around and didn’t see Giratina.

But Naoki wasn’t worried because he knew Giratina had sensed his arrival.

This time, he didn’t go anywhere, just sat cross-legged in the void, quietly waiting for Giratina to arrive.

So when Giratina flew over, it saw the human who had visited its domain thrice calmly meditating in the void.

Remembering the person’s previous behavior, Giratina’s gaze sharpened, and a nameless rage surged up.
