Chapter 289: Chapter 202: Giratina Strategy Plan

What a bold human! How dare they provoke it!

What do they take this place for? And what do they take it for?

This is its territory!

Giratina’s massive body swept through the void, the terrifying energy in it turned into a torrent of energy, blasting out from it.

Naoki: ”???”

He instinctively raised his hand to protect himself, but soon realized that the energy storm couldn’t harm him at all!

Naoki sat in the energy storm, utterly confused.

What on earth is going on? Why is Giratina acting crazy?

Seeing this human sitting safely in place, Giratina couldn’t help but feel a big question mark in its heart.

”?”

”Hello?” Naoki tried waving at Giratina.

Giratina immediately snapped back to reality.

It felt even more furious, he must really be provoking it, right?

Hmph!

Giratina immediately swung its Dragon Tail in disbelief.

However, the massive resilient tail once again passed through him.

Seeing this, Naoki immediately realized something was amiss.

Perhaps in Giratina’s eyes, his actions were seen as provocation!

Just like when someone is hitting you hard, and you’re there asking if they’ve had their meal.

Goodness! Naoki felt terribly wronged, he definitely didn’t mean to do that!

Naoki looked at the terrifyingly powerful energy storms capable of tearing through space aimed at him, his expression shifting from initial fear to total calmness.

Yet seeing this, Giratina fought even more fiercely.

At the same time, the two neighbors living next to Giratina both opened their eyes.

They looked curiously at the space wall vibrating with energy, a hint of doubt rising in their hearts.

What’s that guy going crazy about?

Naoki’s mind was racing.

What should I do, what should I do?

After Giratina’s Shadow Ball passed through him again, Naoki’s eyes lit up.

Got it!

He lay down on the ground, closed his eyes, held his breath, and pretended to be dead.

Seeing this, Giratina stopped, panting heavily, its chest rising and falling, not knowing if it was from anger or exhaustion.

Watching the ”corpse” of the human disappear from its domain, Giratina gradually calmed down.

This is the price of provoking it!

It twisted its enormous body, flying towards the distant void.

After fifteen minutes, his sister Indeedee fed Naoki a Pecha Berry.

Naoki opened his eyes, smacking his lips as he got up from the grass.

Oh well, that’s Giratina for you, always so intense!

”No wonder it dragged Dialga into the Reversed World after their big showdown.”

Naoki recalled how in the movie, the battle between Dialga and Palkia in Alamos Town affected Giratina in the Reversed World.

Enraged, Giratina took revenge by dragging Dialga into the Reversed World on its way home, accidentally bringing in a Shaymin too.

Using Shaymin’s Seed Flare, Dialga escaped the Reversed World, and by rewinding time, sealed the Reversed World, trapping Giratina inside.

This incident led to the movie ”Giratina and the Sky Warrior Shaymin”.

Interestingly, even after that movie ended, Giratina didn’t give up on revenge, persistently chasing Dialga all the way to Midina.

It wasn’t until Arceus awoke from its slumber that they returned to their realms.

With such a temperament, if he hadn’t played dead earlier and exactly fifteen minutes hadn’t passed, Giratina might have kept attacking him until exhausted.

However, Naoki couldn’t understand why Giratina suddenly attacked him this time.

”Could it be because I’ve been entering and leaving the Reversed World repeatedly?”

Naoki thought this was quite possible.

After all, the Reversed World is Giratina’s domain, and his actions might seem provocative to Giratina.

”Sigh, looks like the strategy to deal with Giratina involves a lot more work!”

Naoki couldn’t help but sigh.

He looked at the leftover Poisonous Mushroom Soup, giving up the idea of drinking it further.

Better wait until tomorrow to see what happens!

The time had already reached the evening.

To continue this plan, Naoki once again headed to the back hill with his basket, intending to gather more poisonous mushrooms from there.

The autumn back hill is like a massive treasure trove for farm workers running a farm.

The hills grow all sorts of berries, wildflowers, mushrooms, hazelnuts, and a variety of herbs.

This time, Naoki met another person on the hill who was also collecting mountain goods.

Naoki had seen him before at a festival; it was Toff, the owner of the neighboring farm.

Toff had a very distinctive appearance, with a long face, a classic goatee on his chin, and he always wore brown farmer overalls.

Naoki recognized him from afar.

The two met, greeting each other.

Toff energetically said, ”Good afternoon, Naoki! What a coincidence, you’re here picking mushrooms too!”

Naoki smiled and nodded: ”Yes!”

He glanced at Toff’s basket, seeing it filled with mountain goods, including mushrooms, berries, and some hazelnuts that some squirrel Pokemon love.

At the same time, Toff also glanced at his basket.

Toff was startled at what he saw.

He pointed at the mushrooms in Naoki’s basket in shock: ”You can’t eat those! They’re all poisonous mushrooms, eating them will send you to the hospital! You must get rid of them!”

Naoki: ”...”

He earnestly replied, ”Don’t worry, Mr. Toff, I know. These mushrooms are meant to feed my Poison Type Pokemon, they absolutely love them.”

Toff had never been to Naoki Ranch, so he assumed Naoki indeed had Poison Type Pokemon there.

Hearing this, he breathed a sigh of relief: ”You scared me, I thought you were planning to make soup with them.”

”How could I?” Naoki smiled.

”That’s good.” Toff laughed: ”You know, I heard from Mayor Thomas that it’s your first time running a ranch with no farming experience, you might not tell which mushrooms are poisonous or safe.”

Naoki immediately responded: ”Mayor Thomas gave me a book on ranch management, which has sections about mushroom types. On this trip, I specifically came to pick poisonous mushrooms, see!”

With that, Naoki showed him the mushrooms in his basket.

Toff took a look and indeed saw a basket full of poisonous mushrooms, not a single edible one.

”Your Poison Type Pokemon are in for a treat!” He pointed in a direction: ”Over there, there are a lot of poisonous mushrooms. If you need, you can pick them all.”

Hearing this, Naoki’s eyes lit up: ”Great, I’ll go check. Thank you so much, Mr. Toff!”

Toff laughed heartily: ”We’re all neighbors, and thanks to your shrine to Calyrex in the ranch, my farm’s crops are doing so well this year, go ahead!”

Naoki: ”...”

Calyrex truly is a benevolent deity!

He smiled and thanked Toff, then headed in that direction with his basket.

There lay a thick tree trunk, hollow inside, dark and damp all around, perfect for mushroom growth.

Naoki glanced around and, indeed, found many poisonous mushrooms there.

After filling his basket with poisonous mushrooms, he contentedly returned to the ranch.

He planned to keep these poisonous mushrooms to eat slowly, and whatever he couldn’t finish would be dried and stored.

Naoki intended to collect as many poisonous mushrooms as possible this autumn, using them as a bridge to the Reversed World.

Since they won’t kill him, he’ll just continue eating them!

So the next morning, after finishing work at the ranch, Naoki once again drank the Poisonous Mushroom Soup.

This time, he learned from past experiences and didn’t act too familiar; instead, he stood respectfully in place like a guest, waiting for the true master of the Reversed World to arrive.

A few minutes later, just as Naoki expected, Giratina’s massive body appeared before him again.

”?”

Giratina was dumbfounded, looking down at this human in shock.

W-what happened?

Wasn’t this intruder already defeated by its Shadow Ball?
