Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 279: Chapter 197: Holding a Tea Party in the Secret Garden (4k)

After sending off three inexperienced Trainers, Naoki began to work on the construction of the Glass Greenhouse.

After much consideration, he decided to use two plans simultaneously.

Not only would he build a flower stand, but he would also construct a separate warm Glass Greenhouse.

The flower stand was for people, while the Glass Greenhouse was for the Combee and Butterfree.

In winter, the temperatures are freezing, and heavy snow blankets the entire land. Not to mention flowers, even the hardy little grass cannot grow.

This season is very challenging for Combee and Butterfree.

They survive on nectar, so they can’t find food anymore.

Naoki doesn’t know how the wild Combee and Butterfree solve this problem.

But since he is here, he naturally won’t just watch that happen.

Therefore, he planned to build a Glass Greenhouse.

That way, come winter, he could move the Combee’s hive and Butterfree’s box into the Glass Greenhouse.

By then, he would place a few pots of greenery and flowers here, along with specially made honey sold in town, ensuring a safe winter for a few Pokemon.

Naoki is very skilled with his hands.

That afternoon, he sawed several wooden strips and assembled them into a large flower stand.

The flower fields are now planted with numerous flowers.

Hydrangeas, roses, monthly roses, lilies, Phalaenopsis, and a few flowers unique to the Pokemon World.

Their names were all jumbled, and Naoki couldn’t remember them well; he just bought them because they looked nice and planted them.

Next, he had to figure out how to move the flower stand to the flower field.

Naoki circled the flower field with the Indeedee Sibling, pondering what method to use while explaining his ideas to the puzzled brother Indeedee.

”...I want to build a garden where we can drink tea and enjoy the flowers, so we can spend leisure time here in the future.”

”Indeedee?”

Hearing this, brother Indeedee suddenly remembered there was such a place in the manor too.

It immediately spoke up: ”Indeedee!”

”Hmm?” Naoki turned to look at it, ”You have an idea?”

”Indeedee.” Brother Indeedee nodded.

It gazed calmly at the lush flower field in front of it and spoke: ”Indeedee... Indeedee.”

Naoki touched the corner of his mouth, visibly irritated, thought for a moment, and still pulled out a Translation Nuts Cake to eat.

Seeing this, brother Indeedee repeated: ”Indeedee... Indeedee.” (You need to move the flowers in the middle first, then place the flower stand in, and lastly, pave a pebble pathway on the ground.)

”Pebbles?” Naoki pondered, nodding, ”That’s a good idea, thank you, Indeedee.”

Brother Indeedee modestly nodded, not seeking credit.

Now that they had a plan, the next step was to move the flowers inside.

Conveniently, Naoki planned to build a Glass Greenhouse later, so the moved flowers could be relocated inside.

After a brief contemplation, Naoki called Koraidon and Cyclizar, who were watching from not far away, to bring over the empty flower pots from the storeroom, then began to dig up the flowers.

Butterfree and Combee, who were collecting nectar, didn’t have any particular reaction when they saw this happening.

Anyway, Naoki wouldn’t hurt them.

Brother Indeedee watched for a while, then silently turned and left.

It returned to the house and quietly exchanged thoughts with its sister, who was making Poffins.

Sister Indeedee blinked and then stopped her work, fetched a few green Lum Berries from the Berry stash.

This is a type of Berry that can cure all abnormal statuses.

Sister Indeedee squeezed them into juice and poured it into a cup, handing it to her brother.

So, when Naoki, covered in dirt, moved the potted flowers to the grass outside, he saw a glass of juice placed on the small table he used for tea.

Without guessing, Naoki knew who made it.

Ever since the Indeedee Sibling joined, such considerate gestures and small surprises in life have not been uncommon.

He happily drank the juice and then went back into the house to use the video phone to order a batch of pebbles and paving mortar from Keri.

Keri wasn’t out working today, so after receiving the call, she quickly delivered Naoki’s order.

Moreover, upon learning of Naoki’s plan, she even stayed to provide some guidance.

By five in the afternoon, the construction in the flower field was finally finished.

The flower field, originally square, had a large empty area cleared in the middle, and the large flower stand Naoki made was moved to the empty area by Indeedee through Telekinesis.

The empty area was surrounded by a layer of undried pebbles, with a path connecting the central area to the outside.

In the future, the flowers would grow along the flower stand until it was completely covered.

Then, the pebble pathway and the flower stand would be hidden by lush flower vines, forming a natural secret garden.

Imagining that scene, Naoki felt incredibly excited inside and thanked Keri: ”I really have to thank you this time!”

Keri gave a slight smile: ”No need to thank me, after all, you’ve already paid.”

Naoki: ”...”

Thinking about the Glass Greenhouse again, he added: ”Oh, right, I also want to build a Glass Greenhouse in the pasture, the kind with heating.”

”Glass Greenhouse?” Keri thought for a moment and said, ”It’s possible, but the glass materials at the store are used up. The next batch is on the way and is expected to arrive mid-month. If you can wait, I’ll deliver it to you then.”
