Chapter 290: Chapter 203: Giratina Favorability +1! (Two Chapters Combined)

”Good morning, great Giratina, dragon god of destruction and shadows!”

This time, Naoki decided to change his strategy.

He had learned from an experience with Calyrex’s proselytizing event—to pretend to admire and like Giratina.

This would help to possibly eliminate hostility and prevent it from attacking.

However, upon hearing these words, Giratina simply stared at him silently without any reaction.

But on the bright side, this time Giratina didn’t hastily unleash an attack on him.

Seeing this, Naoki couldn’t help but wonder to himself, ”No way? Could it be that Giratina doesn’t use telepathy? Or does it disdain communicating with humans?”

At that moment, a cold and slightly hostile voice echoed within his mind.

”Do you want to destroy the world too?”

Just like years ago, when a human sought it out to join forces, causing the Space-Time Gods to go berserk and opening the time-space rift.

Yet what puzzled Giratina was that it didn’t sense any crazed ambition from this human before it.

This kind of person didn’t resonate with it—it wouldn’t lend its help to him.

Naoki: ”?”

He keenly noticed Giratina’s choice of words.

Too?

Has someone else sought Giratina out before? Naoki was a bit slow to realize.

But soon, he figured out whom Giratina was referring to!

It was Volo! The merchant of the ginkgo from the ancient Hisuin Region!

He had joined forces with Giratina in the Hisuin Region, using its power to send Dialga and Palkia into chaos, triggering a massive space-time disturbance.

He wanted to use the rift opened during the Space-Time Gods’ conflict to enter the realm of Arceus, the Pokemon known as the Creator God!

Naoki couldn’t help but ask, ”Was it Volo?”

Giratina: ”You know him.”

”Not really,” Naoki admitted, ”I just didn’t expect... didn’t expect such a deep connection with the Hisuin Region.”

Giratina didn’t continue with this topic.

With its blood-red eyes, it looked at the human in front of it, and said irritably:

”Although I don’t know how you barged in! I don’t like it, leave my territory!”

Naoki: ”...”

He could only confess honestly, ”Well, the reason I came in was because I wanted some of the water here.”

Saying this, he pointed to a lake on a Floating Island not far away.

Giratina turned to look at it.

”But I’m not asking for it for free,” Naoki said sincerely, ”I can trade for it.”

”You?” Giratina looked dismissive.

Naoki pretended not to notice, ”... I promise, once I get it, I won’t bother you again. In return, I can provide you with all kinds of food.”

Giratina initially wanted to refuse, as human food held no appeal to it.

But thinking it wouldn’t have to see this annoying and untouchable little insect anymore, it decisively nodded, ”Fine.”

Naoki’s eyes lit up, ”So how can I come over to get it?”

Giratina stared at him, ”Aren’t you here now? Just take it directly.”

Naoki, ”To be honest, in my current state, I can’t touch anything here.”

Giratina fell silent.

This was precisely what was puzzling it.

”Where are you physically?” Giratina asked, ”I can open a gateway for you to come and retrieve it.”

Seeing Giratina’s expression, Naoki became wary, ”You won’t attack me at that moment, will you?”

But at these words, Giratina instantaneously became agitated, exclaiming, ”Am I that kind of Pokemon?!”

Naoki thought to himself, maybe; after all, you did chase Dialga for blocks after it unintentionally affected the Reversed World.

Seeing his expression, Giratina, who indeed considered it briefly, turned its head away sheepishly, looking around.

”Ha! You were planning on it, weren’t you?”

Giratina glared, ”What nerve! You’re the first human to speak to me like that!”

”Heaven as my witness!” Naoki shook his head, ”I never intended to cause trouble; I merely wanted to behold the legendary Giratina and say hello, but it was you who attacked me.”

”That was because you provoked me first!” Giratina didn’t believe it had done wrong; it thought it had been quite lenient.

If it were anyone else, it would have chased them to the ends of the earth and beaten them to a pulp.

”Alright, my fault, my fault, I shouldn’t have bothered you,” Naoki went along with Giratina, appeasing it.

This creature clearly preferred the soft approach over the hard one.

As expected, Giratina’s attitude wasn’t as violent as it initially was.

Seeing this, Naoki grinned and said, ”Giratina, shall we make a deal? I want the water here, and while providing you with human food, I can also reveal some of your future to you.”

Giratina narrowed its eyes, ”My future?”

Could this human really possess such an ability?

”About you, about Dialga, about Palkia, about the God that created everything,” Naoki teased a little, ”Are you interested?”

Though Giratina originally wasn’t very interested, upon hearing this bit of info, its curiosity was piqued. It seemed this human knew quite a lot about them!
