Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 286: Chapter 201: Giratina, Light and Shadow (Double-Length)

If he gives up, then this pot of Poisonous Mushroom Soup would be wasted.

Thinking of this, Naoki felt quite regretful.

But the toxins in the Poisonous Mushroom Soup are no joke; if he insists on consuming it, it might cause some irreversible effects on his body.

Just to be safe, Naoki decided to go to the town hospital for a check-up and consult with a doctor.

So, that afternoon, Naoki rode Koraidon to the human hospital in town.

After a series of tests, the doctor, dressed in a white coat and wearing gold-rimmed glasses, looked at the test results and said:

”No problem, your body is as healthy as a Tauros running on the vast plains!”

Naoki: ”...” What a miraculous metaphor?

The doctor noticed his expression and was somewhat puzzled: ”Is there something you’re not telling me?”

”Not really.” Naoki quickly shook his head and explained: ”I just wanted to ask, if a human is poisoned and then uses an Antidote or a Pecha Berry to detoxify, will there still be any irreversible effects on the body?”

Upon hearing this, the doctor pondered: ”Ah, this involves the field of Pokemon medicine. Although we’re human, in some ways, we are similar to Pokemon.”

Naoki: ”For example?”

The doctor spoke confidently: ”For example, if humans are poisoned, they can use a Pecha Berry for cure, and if burned, they can apply Rawst Berry Juice to the burn, and it will heal quickly.”

Naoki had anticipated this but couldn’t help being a little surprised: ”So, in that case, humans are actually a type of Pokemon?”

The doctor: ”Some people believe so, but many think humans are just humans. It’s like the ancient scholars arguing about geocentrism and heliocentrism.”

”Personally, I believe humans are just humans. After all, we don’t have the magical powers Pokemon possess. Haha, I’m digressing here.”

”Don’t worry, even if it’s toxic, as long as you detoxify before it’s critical, it won’t have any effects on your body. You have to believe in the power of the human body!”

Naoki: ”...”

He nodded but didn’t say much.

However, he didn’t quite agree with the doctor’s words.

Because, in one of the Pokemon movies, a human named Coco used Zarude’s special move, Jungle Healing.

Moreover, there are a few people in this world who can use Psychic powers, like a certain Gym Leader in the Kanto Region and an Elite in the Unova Region.

Nonetheless, he had achieved his goal for the trip.

——As long as he detoxifies in time, the Poisonous Mushroom Soup won’t have any adverse effects on him.

Naoki’s heart began to stir again.

He immediately rode Koraidon back home, then placed the pot of Poisonous Mushroom Soup from the insulated container onto the dining table.

He sat at the table, looking down at the pot that could connect his vision to the Reversed World.

Even though several hours had passed by this moment.

But, thanks to the insulated container, the Poisonous Mushroom Soup was still steaming, with a scent unique to mushrooms.

The two Indeedees crowded around as soon as they saw Naoki bring out the Poisonous Mushroom Soup again.

”Indeedee!”

Naoki cleared his throat: ”Well, I actually just went to the hospital for a check-up. The doctor said that even if poisoned, as long as detoxified in time, it wouldn’t affect the body, so...”

However, the Indeedee Sibling still wasn’t very agreeable.

They had learned about poisoning while studying at the manor and knew that a Pokemon poisoned with toxins would suffer greatly.

Naoki ate a piece of Translation Nuts Cake and then understood their meaning, suddenly feeling a bit bewildered.

”You think I would be in pain, and that’s why you’re stopping me from drinking it?”

The siblings nodded.

But he didn’t feel any pain!

Except for the strong dizziness when his vision switched, and once awake, he’d feel weak...

Naoki had a sudden flash of inspiration: ”I got it!”

The two Indeedees looked over.

Naoki: ”It’s probably because this Poisonous Mushroom Soup was made by me!”

Upon hearing this, the siblings immediately understood what Naoki meant.

They also knew well that the food prepared by Naoki always possessed various magical powers.

Naoki said happily: ”Don’t worry! It will be fine! Just detoxify me quickly when needed!”

Seeing Naoki so resolute, the two Indeedees reluctantly agreed.

The sister Indeedees worriedly reminded: ”Indeedee.” (If you feel unwell, be sure to tell us.)

”Okay.” Naoki readily agreed.

Meanwhile, Koraidon, who had watched the whole affair, was completely confused.

What just happened?

While it was still bewildered, Naoki already took a second sip of the Poisonous Mushroom Soup.

He agreed with the two Indeedees that this time, they would give him fifteen minutes.

After swallowing the Poisonous Mushroom Soup, Naoki immediately felt dizzy, and the scene before him rapidly changed.

When his vision gradually returned, Naoki realized he was once again in Giratina’s Reversed World.

Only this time, instead of a void, he found himself on a floating island with a reverse-flowing waterfall.
