I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1422 19.81 Second Red Star - Unexpected Reunion

At the Northeast Campsite...

The arrival of Leng Jun and his group was something everyone had expected yet they didnʼt expect him to come over so fast. Moreover, even though they were informed about the change in him, they didnʼt expect him to get younger as well. Right now, he looks like a young adult who hasnʼt even reached middle-age. They welcomed the guests and moved them to the main tent.

Of course, as promised, Jeremy and Shiva were informed about their arrival. They didnʼt need to be escorted, as Leng Jun chose to see them first before heading to the main tent with Cid Warlock and the leader figure in the group.

In the main tent, only the Elementalist who chose to stay with him last time accompanied him, as for the others, they remained in the tent of Jeremy and Shiva, still crying their eyes out. Leng Jun glances at the Elementalist beside him, trembling; after all, he was also just a civilian before. Even though he knew about the other races, meeting the leaders himself was stressful.

Leng Jun said, ”Go back to where Jeremy is. Chuchu is with me. I am not alone.”

”Are you sure? Thereʼs a lot of them though,” said the Elementalist.

Zerg King Cid Warlock grins and teases, ”Donʼt worry. We donʼt eat humans~”

The Elementalist looked frightened as he saw the big guyʼs evil smile. The other alliance leaders also chose to smile at him, which was friendly, but in the eyes of this human, who hasnʼt met other races except for elementals, he feels the world was against him.

Sighed. Leng Jun said, ”Please stop teasing him. He is already scared enough.”

”Hahaha~ he is quite fun to tease. Solan, help him back to Jeremyʼs tent. His legs look jelly right now,” said Zerg King Cid Warlock. ”So, just as I thought most of the Sentinel died during the last war, tsk! Those three old bastards.”

The Elementalist overheard the Zerg Kingʼs word on his way out. He didnʼt expect that the King of the Insect race would hate those old marshals from before as well. Actually, he hates them too. IT was because of the abuse of authority of those men that his sworn brother, a halfling, left the Federation Star to survive.

He and his father were jailed for helping his friend escape and if not for the apocalypse, they wouldnʼt have been able to leave that cold jail.

On his way out, he bumps into a group of Zerg soldiers and sees one of them looking very similar to his friend, Zion. He called out without thinking and was terrified with what he did. He didnʼt expect the Zerg soldier to turn around and look at him as he called out his friendʼs name.

”Zion?”

The Zerg soldier turned around and responded, ”Yes? Who is calling me?” Then he finally saw his long-sworn friend, who helped him and his family escape from the Federation Star.

Zion calls, ”Xiao Fanfan? Itʼs really you!?”

The Zerg soldier, Zion, immediately hugs the Elementalist, named Cen Fanyu. His face was in tears as he hugged him. ”Oh my God! Youʼre alive! Haha~ Thank god! I volunteered for this expedition when the Zerg King said he wanted to return to the Federation Star.

I wanted to see you, aunt and uncle. But when I saw the state of this planet, I thought you guys were...”

”Iʼm okay,” said Cen Fanyu yet it was unbelievable, as he seemed to be dazed.

The Zerg Soldier, Zion, asked, ”Really?” He stared at him, obviously trying to ask him to be honest.

”I…I…Iʼm not alright. Mom died from a cold. She and dad turned ice. I… I donʼt know. I just followed others to the base and then...” Cen Fanyu didnʼt even notice his tears were also falling down on his face as if he couldnʼt control. He thought that he couldnʼt cry anymore.

”AʼZi, I donʼt have a family anymore! Wuaa~”

Upon seeing Cen Fanyu cries, Zion hugs him once again and whispers, ”Itʼs alright. Iʼm still here. Donʼt cry. I help you find aunt and uncle when everything on this land is resolved. Zerg King, I mean Major Warlock is an amazing person. He should be able to resolve the problem on this planet.

If he canʼt, our Zerg Empress is kind. He would definitely help if we plead.”

”Really?” asked Cen Fanyu, ”But they said...”

”What the federation military said before are all lies. The Insect race doesnʼt eat humans at all. Most of them are vegetarians and would eat flowers. As for meat-eaters, Zergs, they only eat chicken, pork and beef. Eating humans is not allowed in the Hive Star. What we know before was all fake news that the military had spread before,” said Zion.

Cen Fanyu asked, ”But why would they do that?”

”Thatʼs because they wanted to defeat the Zerg Race and take over their planet. The Hive Star is one of the most fertile planets in this star system,” said Solan.

Eh?

At this point of conversation, Solan and the other soldiers in the area are butting in. Seeing this is an opportunity to remind the two that they are in public and everyone is looking at them with teasing smiles. So, as Zion and Cen Fanyu turned around, they saw everyoneʼs eyes on them. Not only Zergs or halflings.

There are also some dragons, machines, dragonewts and even elves looking at them with knowing smiles on their faces.

Solan commented with a teasing smile, ”Ah, ʼIʼm still here. Donʼt cry.ʼ This is youth. The best Iʼve heard.”

Zion and Cen Fanyuʼs faces turned red in embarrassment, and only then did they realize that everyone was watching them right from the start.

A spider-type Zerg in human form said, ”I not only eat chicken, pork, and beef. Lamb and mutton are also the best. As for human flesh, the Zerg Emperor said it was poison to us. It leads a Zerg into madness, so we never tried eating it before. Itʼs also forbidden by our laws even before His Majesty Warlock took the throne. Instead, it is you humans who eat our Worker Zergs.

Though they do look like shrimp, are they really edible?”

”Um. It was more delicious than ordinary shrimp. Yes, it stayed like a King Lobster!” said Solan.

The Zerg Soldiers were shocked and interested; they surrounded their Minister Solan and said, ”Prime Minister, you are not lying?”

”Is it really delicious?”

”It wouldnʼt be bad to try a few, right?”

”Letʼs go catch a few.”

”Donʼt forget to send a plate to my tent!” Solan said.

The Zerg soldiers happily departed to catch some worker Zergs. ”Yes, sir!”

Cen Fanyu was dumbfounded. Arenʼt worker Zergs still Zergs? Can they still be their own kind? Meanwhile, as if reading his thoughts, Zion explained the existence of the Worker Zergs.

Zion coughed. ”Xiao Fanfan. Worker Zergs arenʼt truly Zergs. That is only a name. Worker Zergs are livestock in the Hive. One that helps purify the waters on our planet.

They are just somewhat obedient livestock, but only the Royal Tribe can command them to do something. They can also be used to scout places that are from a distance as they never get tired.”

”Then doesnʼt that mean they are going to eat the scouts your king brought?” asked Cen Fanyu nonchalantly, which awakened Solan to this reality.

Solan cursed, ”Ah! Shit! You brats! Donʼt eat all of the Worker Zergs.” He turned around and said, ”Zion, you can escort that kid for me. I need to stop those fools.”

After Solan left, Zerg Soldier Zion, who was excused from his duties, escorted Cen Fanyu to the tent where Jeremy and the rest were waiting. The interior of the tent is so boisterous that one can hear people laughing and chatting. Food is being delivered inside for the guests to eat. Cen Fanyu and the rest of the team obviously havenʼt even slept properly since the night attack happened yesterday.

By the time. Cen Fanyu and Zion join the team; most of them are eating and chatting at the same time.

”Fanyu, you come back fast. Thatʼs why I told you, you donʼt need to come with the leader. Itʼs enough that he had Chuchu with him.”

”Oh~ you brought a friend... A Halfling? No, based on his outfit, he is a Zerg Soldier.”

”Welcome! You can ignore these fools. Go have a seat,” said Shiva.

Jeremy also welcomed the presence of Zion. He also heard about how the family of Cen Fanyu was sent to prison for helping a halfling escape the Federation Star. It was the General Surge, who helped them bail out after learning about this situation.

Zion properly introduced himself and said, ”Hello! My name is Zion. I am from the 3rd Assault Team of the Zerg Legion. Nice to meet you!”

”Halflings are allowed to join the military in the Hive Star? I thought only female Zergs joined it?” asked Jeremy. He had been resting in the tent ever since he woke up and hasnʼt met other soldiers except for those who sent their meals.

Zion responded, ”That was before. After most residents of the Hive evolved, even male Zergs regained their original strength. The error on their genes was erased the moment they completed evolution. It was also because of collective evolution that the Hive Star had closed itself, preventing all news from coming outside.

If only I knew that an apocalypse hit the Federation Star, I would come over right away.”

”You mean the Hive has been closed until recently? The Zergs are all undergoing evolution in groups? Thatʼs possible?” Shiva asked.

Zion nodded his head and explained. ”It is all thanks to our Zerg Empress. He spread his knowledge of Pill Refinement and Potion Concoction. Because of it, the problems in the genes of all Zergs had been resolved.

Now most Make Zerg have returned to the normal physique of a man, and the Female Zerg no longer needs to fear mental stability thanks to our Zerg Emperor sharing a technique that strengthens one soul. They are the gods of our race.”

”Gods? Do they truly exist?” asked Cen Fanyu.

Zion responded, ”This is only something I overheard from my superiors talking. They said that each world possessed a god. It was just that during the weakest state of the world they would choose one savior that would save the world. Our Zerg Emperor said that Zerg King Warlock is our savior, so they rarely interfere after Zerg King Cid sat on the throne.”

”Have you met the Zerg Emperor and Zerg Empress?” asked Jeremy.

Zion said, ”Of course! They are a very loving couple. The type that is shameless gives dog food every time. We sometimes see them on their date at night markets. the Colosseum, even at the sky garden. You would see them flirting all day in the Hive.

It is bad for the single dogs, but thanks to them the other couples would also openly show their love and the birth rate of our race indefinitely increased. The bachelors suffered the most. Ah, right! His Majesty was suffering from countless marriage offers because of this too. But itʼs like he can complain to the Emperor and the Empress showing their love, right?”

The others listening in the room were smiling at this kind of novel news. They would have never thought that a pair of famed people would show their love without caring for others, and the Hive openly accepting this kind of situation is another thing in itself. But this just shows that the people that live in the Hive are all in good health, and they are all happy.

Then they compared the Hive Star in this young soldierʼs story to their current world. Their planet is desolate and full of danger from the unknown, and the human race is under the reign of the Elementals. It is far from the happy and carefree world the Hive Star possessed. There is more tragedy than hope on this planet.

Jeremy mumbles, ”I hope this apocalypse will end soon.”

”Thatʼs right. I donʼt care if we donʼt have the same resources as before. As long as the weather returns to normal and the humans will no longer be suppressed by the elements as well as live on the surface, that is enough for me.”

”All I wanted was to return to the time where we can live without caring too much for our safety and just live our lives as boring and simple as before. At the very least, find and unfroze our families and bury them properly,” Shiva said.

Thinking of their families who had turned to ice, they couldnʼt help but feel melancholy about it. Almost all humans lost a loved one when the apocalypse began. Ice that cannot be melted by any means. It cannot be cut or destroyed, yet it keeps imprisoning the people inside even after their deaths.

As for those who survived, they had to keep hiding not only from the Ice Elementals, who detested them, but they also needed to live underground to survive. Now there is the chaos energy brought by the beast race that spreads throughout their world, spreading madness everywhere, which greatly increases the danger on this planet. Right now, this Federation Star is no different from Cold Hell.
