I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1418 19.77 Second Red Star - Leng Junʼs awakening

Federation Star. Somewhere near the borders of the South Region

The three humans plus Leng Jun and their elementals had successfully escaped from the area where those mad animals had gathered. Even so, they left behind two of their comrades who chose to buy some time for survival. The last thing they saw was the scene of Jeremy and Shiva falling amid the beast, and their survival is unknown.

The effects of the wing of fire that brought them away faded after the half-hour time was up and they experienced a freefall from high ground to land. Thankfully, there are trees to cushion their fall, and Chuchu lends a hand to prevent their deaths. This is the least he can do for Jeremy and Shiva, who choose to stay behind to buy them some time.

Bang!

”What, live and die together!? In the end, only the two of them remained there!”

”Calm down! We can still go back!”

”How to go back? Itʼs too far! Maybe when we got there, not even a bone was left!”

”Shut up! Donʼt say those things! Since you donʼt want to return. Stay here and protect Leng Jun!”

”Thatʼs not what I meant!”

”We need one to stay here to protect him. You canʼt let him die. He is the only family left of Jeremy.”

”Sigh~ fine!”

Two of the three former subordinates of Jeremey chose to go back. On the other hand, one of them remains to protect Leng Jun. At this point, they couldnʼt give up on this person. This is the man whom their leader wanted to protect even with his life. Itʼs just that the three of them couldnʼt see how this person would be the savior, as Jeremy foretold.

”Be careful! Stay alive!”

After saying their goodbyes, the two immediately left and the other remained to protect Leng Jun. This manʼs expression is a bit unfriendly, and obviously, didnʼt want to do this job at all, only for the sake of Jeremy that he chooses to stay and watch over this person. Chuchu, the Fire Elemental Viper King, watches the conversation between the three men quietly.

He knew that they were unlike Jeremy, who had a direct connection with Leng Jun. But since they choose to keep their word, he lets them do as they wish. For Leng Junʼs protection, he alone is enough.

Just as Chuchu wanted to take a nap, a powerful surge of fire elements came out of Leng Jun. A towering wall of fire shoots up towards the sky. Even Chuchu, who wraps himself around Leng Jun, is thrown off by this aura. Unlike Chuchuʼs deep red fire, Leng Junʼs flames had changed from red-orange to purplish red. It is a mixture of fire and gluttony.

A trace of gluttonyʼs aura remained in his body and mutated his flames. His fire now possessed the hotness of flames and the ability to devour other flames.

The pillar of fire was seen by everyone from a distance. As for the man, who stayed to protect Leng Jun, he almost turned into a charcoal human if not for his water elementalʼs protection. Together with the Fire Elemental Viper King.

”Woa~ is he trying to burn me to death too?!”

Shocked, Chuchu exclaims in disbelief. {Impossible! How can he awaken an Evil Flame, Will oʼ Wisp!}

Under their gaze, Leng Junʼs red-orange hair turned purple with hints of red. When he opened his eyes, Leng Junʼs irises were dyed with a magenta shade. He also possessed black tattoos on his body and all of his previous positive aura had changed to yin.

Leng Jun now looks like a villain instead of the protagonist he should have become. This is the side-effect of him accepting the power to devour. The heavenly laws couldnʼt accept the state he had become and after his ascension to King-rank, dark clouds followed after him.

RUMBLES~ CRIZZ~ RUMBLES~

The man who remained to protect Leng Jun was dumbfounded. The sky was too clear just now. How could there be suddenly dark clouds and even thunder looming above their heads.

”What the hell is this!? Just how thick is the lightning within those dark clouds!”

Chuchu, upon sensing the rejection of the world towards Leng Jun, he whipped away the humans from the vicinity of Heavenʼs Tribulation. His whole being was terrified by this situation, but instead of running away, it wrapped itself around Leng Jun.

Leng Jun recognized Chuchu but, during his evolution, he lost most of his emotions. He tried to fight back against that aura of gluttony, that wanted to eat him. In the end, most of his emotions were eaten as he ate the remaining aura of gluttony in his soul. This is the reason why his flames mutated.

Moreover, even though he was in meditation, he had heard everything that was happening outside. The second sacrifice of his family member, Jeremy greatly increased the fire elements in his body as he tried to forcibly wake up.

In the end, he couldnʼt do anything and allowed his brother to sacrifice himself this time again. When he finally lost him, after eating the aura of gluttony in his body, it merged with his flame heart and it mutated into a purplish-red flame. Now, despite being only a King-rank Fire Elemental his strength had already reached Godhood. At least his flame does.

Upon waking up, Leng Jun isnʼt surprised to see the world rejecting him. While devouring the aura of gluttony inside him, he realized that gluttony is a sub-element of chaos. It was a power that is rejected anywhere. But its power is undeniable, it just gives him a side-effect of uncontrollable hunger. He desires everything that is full of energy.

So, when the Heavenly Punishment above him appeared, instead of fear, he felt hunger instead.

Leng Jun looked at his elemental king. ”Chuchu, back away. I will need to eat that thing. I feel very hungry.”

{Hungry? AʼJun… you, Okay.}

Chuchu wanted to ask more but felt the seriousness in Leng Junʼs magenta eyes. He can only move away and watch from a distance. The aura he is feeling towards Leng Jun is already beyond the rank of king. He is most likely a Deity, which is the lowest-ranked Godhood.

Once Chuchu backs away, the lightning starts striking on Leng Jun. Thick, white lighting fell onto his head, yet a purplish red fire shielded Leng Jun. Each impact of lightning would be dispersed upon contact with this barrier.

But upon closer look, one can see that this purplish red aura devours the lightning that fell on it making it stronger and thicker. The first three strikes of lightning were white, but it eventually changed to blue, then to red, and finally purple. The change in the shade of the lightning greatly increases its power.

Under the barrage of these colored lightnings, Leng Jun didnʼt end up unharmed. He even lost an arm in the process. Even so, he remained alive under this tribulation. Finally, when the last purple lightning was about to fall on his head, he created a blackish-purple viper with his fire and made it eat the purple lightning.

His human form faded under this lightning, and the Viper made of fire solidified.

The Fire Elemental Viper King, Chuchu, was stunned by the blackish-purple viper that looked exactly like his form. Leng Jun actually accepted his bloodline as his own and in the future, his real form as an elemental will be a Fire Viper like him. Despite the difference in the color of fire, Chuchu was extremely delighted at this scene. It shows that in Leng Junʼs heart, his existence equaled his.

After all, all elementals who reach king-rank are capable of changing their shape. Most of these elementals choose to retain their original shape, as this is their origin. But some who didnʼt like their animal form would instead choose human form over their original form. Leng Jun chose his Viper Form as his source of flame, which means he is no longer a human, but a Fire elemental viper like him.

Chuchu mumbles, {AʼJun, thank you.}

Those at the sidelines watched as the last purple lightning was eaten by the huge blackish purple viper Leng Jun had become, swallowing the huge lightning including the black clouds made of heavenly laws. At this point, the heavens panicked as he saw himself being eaten.

The Heavenly Laws had spoken, ”Fie! cometh hʼre and englut mine own coxcomb thee distemperate foargh! stand ho! If ʼt be true thee consume me thy fatherʼs soul wonʼt beest able to reincarnate!!! I am the heavenly laws of this world. The ruleth.

Without me, those who isʼt kicked the bucket shall nevʼr reincarnate!!”

Translation: [Argh! Stop! If you eat me your fatherʼs soul wonʼt be able to reincarnate!!! I am the Heavenly Laws of this world. The Rule. Without me, those who died will never reincarnate!!]

The sudden voice of the world stunned Leng Jun and Chuchu, as for the other mortals, they were dumbfounded and finally lost consciousness under the pressure of the Heavenly Lawʼs existence. Leng Jun never expected that the laws of this world were sentient and could converse with him. When he heard the situation of his foster father, Old Surge, his face turned grim.

The Heavenly Laws said, ”Devouring me means thy fathʼr shall nay longethʼr existeth. Is yond well enow with thee, Leng Jun?”

Translation: [Devouring me means your father will no longer exist. Is that okay with you, Leng Jun?]

Though Chuchu and Leng Jun arenʼt supposed to understand the Ancient Language of the Gods, with the Heavenly Laws directly translating it to their heads, they understood what it said. In Leng Junʼs ears, it seems that he is being threatened with his fatherʼs life.

Leng Jun spoke with a dark face. ”Even though I havenʼt fully ascended yet, I know that the Heavenly Laws, especially those who didnʼt gain vessels, can be replaced anytime. Do you want to be replaced by me?”

The Heavenly Laws panicked and said, ”Nay, thee canʼt doth yond! those who isʼt hadst becometh a new domain god canʼt leaveth their wʼrld fʼr a thousand years. Only aftʼr a millenia thee wouldst beest did recall to the uppʼr realm. Thee might beest able to waiteth, but yond fireth elemental vipʼr wouldst vade as that gent is only a soul.

The mʼre timeth is did waste, the faintʼr its soul that gent shall beest. The only way to recreate his vessel is fʼr thee two to wend to the uppʼr realm and wʼrk thʼre”

Translation: [No, you canʼt do that! Those who had become a new Domain God canʼt leave their world for a thousand years. Only after a Millenia you would be recalled to the Upper Realm. You might be able to wait, but that Fire Elemental Viper would fade as he is only a soul. The more time is wasted, the fainter its soul will be.

The only way to recreate his vessel is for you two to go to the Upper Realm and work there.]

Leng Jun and Chuchu were surprised by what they heard from these Heavenly Laws. Though they heard from the Ice Elemental Ninetailed Fox King about the possibility of getting Chuchuʼs back from him, they never knew how to do so. Moreover, they didnʼt know how to ascend to the Upper Realm.

”You know how to go to the Upper Realm?” asked Leng Jun.

At this point, after seeing that they were no longer going to fight, he flew toward Leng Jun and wrapped himself around Leng Junʼs neck after shrinking.

The Heavenly Laws responded, ”Thee only needeth to ascend propʼrly as a god. But thee havenʼt coequal awakenʼd thy divinity yet, fʼr thee to ascend, thee needeth to evolve one mʼre timeth. Yond quasi elemental empʼrʼr hadst a dropeth of divinity in that gent. As longeth as thee englut that gent, thee wouldst becometh a completely god and ascend to godhood.

The stairway to heavens shall leadeth thee to the uppʼr realm”

Translation: [You only need to ascend properly as a God. But you havenʼt even awakened your divinity yet, for you to ascend, you need to evolve one more time. That quasi-Elemental Emperor had a drop of divinity in him. As long as you devour him, you will become a complete God and ascend to Godhood. The stairway to the heavens will lead you to the Upper Realm.]

The conversation between the Heavenly Laws and Leng Jun continues.
