I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1415 19.74 Second Red Star - Looming Danger

After the video conference from the Hive Star was cut off by the ones from the Zerg Planet, Cid Warlock and the alliance finally knew what kind of situation unfolded on this planet. Though they are interested in this so-called chaos energy after knowing there is no cure for it, some have totally lost interest in it.

Though there might be someone who has other thoughts about the result, it will be for them to bear.

Zerg King Cid Warlock turns to his allies and asks for their opinion about the situation.

”Our insect race chose to stay. Since there is no war as we expected, everyone can decide whether to stay to help the human race and gather resources or go back home to rest,” he said.

The alliance between some other races and the Zerg race was based on business between the two worlds and their needs. Cid Warlock would never force any of these Alliance leaders to stay on this federation star and help humans with them. In the first place, they do not have any responsibility for doing so, and second, they arenʼt like Zerg King Cid Warlock, whose half bloodline is from this world.

The Alliance leaders looked at each other and saw what they had in mind. Who wouldnʼt like fertile lands? They now saw the affected individuals of chaos energy as premium fertilizers useful for their worlds. Helping the human race is just a second thought for them.

”Your majesty, we will help you with what you want to do!”

”Thatʼs good. Letʼs begin killing all the affected hosts within this area and try to look for humans in this world,” Cid Warlock said.

Coincidentally, Solan had returned from his mission and came over to report on the information they had gathered in their mission. Though he still wasnʼt informed about the information they got from their home planet, they got enough from the scout mission he did with his team.

Solan saluted his king and properly greeted the other alliance leaders inside the tent. ”My king, we have returned from our mission.”

”Good work, Solan. Can you tell us what you guys have discovered?” asked Zerg King Cid Warlock.

Solan nods his head and says, ”Yes. The group of wild animals that ambushed Lucas and his team were no longer around. They might have gone to another location as their traces had gone somewhere towards the south. Also, we have found a strange and towering ice wall. Beyond it is an ice forest. The possibility of this ice forest being the habitat of ice elementals is high.

Also, we found a ruin site of an underground facility as well as a few tombstones. These must be some traces from the human race that lives on this planet.”

”Where is the direction of the trail of the human race you have found?” asked Cid Warlock.

Solan said, ”Towards the South, my king.”

”Arenʼt the traces of those animals you had found also heading to the south?” asked an Alliance leader.

As a result of this realization, everyone inside the tent turned quiet all of a sudden. This situation means that the possibility of the human race bumping into that group of mad wild animals is quite high. If they didnʼt have enough warriors, it wouldnʼt be surprising that they would all die a miserable death.

Because unlike the beastmen who can differentiate who is powerful enough to overwhelm them, animals who go by instinct would treat all beings different from them as targets. They donʼt differentiate between strong and weak.

Instead, they can only differentiate all that is not similar to them as enemies. Thatʼs why that night when Jeremy and his group were attacked by a snow leopard, despite being alone, this wild animal just attacked them even though it was alone.

Imagining the worst-case scenarios, Zerg King Cid Warlock decided to fight at night. ”Iʼm going to lead a group and follow in the footsteps of the humans. Those who wish not to fight stay. Those who are injured are to stay as well!” he said.

Solan and Roan said, ”My king, we shall accompany you.”

”I will look after the camp and the injured,” said Kian, the doctor of the team. He chose to stay, watch over the camp, and support their temporary base.

A few alliance leaders who can fly choose to come as well. As for those who canʼt fly, they can only stay to protect the main camp. There is no way they could fasten on land, especially when it was covered with thick snow.

Cid Warlock commanded, ”Make your preparations. We are going out!”

”Yes, Your Majesty!”

---

On the other hand, in the area where Leng Jun and group are staying, most of them are asleep except for those on guard duties. Jeremy volunteers to guard their group at night. In reality, he just wanted to watch over his leader, Leng Jun, who is still in the middle of his evolution.

Seated like a living furnace in the middle of the camp, Leng Jun was seated in his lotus form with his eyes tightly closed.

At the side, Jeremy and two fire elementals, Chuchu and Guang, were also watching over the whole camp. The other guards were tasked with sleeping, as Jeremy was enough to watch over the group at night. He will immediately wake the rest up if something is amiss at the scene.

Jeremy suddenly asked, ”Chuchu, do you know when will the boss wake up?”

The large fire-elemental viper that surrounds Leng Jun lifted its head and gently shook its head.

{It might be long or short. All will depend on AʼJunʼs potential and desires. With my kingʼs bloodline, his potential is above average; adding his original capabilities, it can be said that he would awaken to a king with special abilities.} Chuchu, the fire elemental viper king, said.

The fire elemental ferret Guang spoke, {Remy, if he is not a hybrid but a pure elemental, he would be either awake but now or dead. There is only failure and success during the evolution of the king class. After all, not all were capable of awakening divinity, as sometimes it depends on fate or talent.}

Jeremy said, ”Boss is definitely talented. He would not fail!”

{Sigh~ as long as you are happy.} The fire elemental ferret said, who closed its eyes as he remained motionless at the neck of its contractor.

In reality, it was actually peeking at the young elemental king before its eyes. Ferret Guang actually couldnʼt understand why the young king would save this human. After all, elementals, after their host are dead, can sign another contract. To the elementals from the spirit world, these humans are just a tool to increase their strength; once they die, they can be replaced any time.

At first, Guang also treated Jeremy no differently from the other humans. He wasnʼt its first contractor, nor was he the last. But who would have thought that he would get attached to this young human who can barely live a few hundred. To elementals like them, they can exist as long as elements exist.

Elements are natural energy created by world qi. As long as the spirit world exists, so they are. Only those elementals who choose to end their life or give away their power to their descendants will no longer exist. This is the case of Chuchuʼs parents.

Their powers were given to their child after death, thatʼs why there is no way for them to be reborn. They are gone forever. Their sacrifice had allowed the young Chuchu to awaken his kingʼs bloodline. Elementals are aloof existences except for their own kind and those who they like.

At the dead night, the stillness of the evening brought forth a cold, chilling wind, but this iciness was brought down by the hybrid undergoing his evolution. The heat caused by his special existence as a hybrid could even affect the world aggressively, Leng Jun is the complete opposite of a pureblood elemental who blends with the world.

All of a sudden, Jeremy turns around as he feels the looming danger in the area they are in. He had always been sensitive when it came to scent. The moment the wind breeze passes to the area where they are, and that this wind comes from the far north, that he immediately senses multiple presences coming over.

Jeremy stood up and shouted, ”WAKE UP!”

At this shout, everyone abruptly wakes up. They can feel the urgency and seriousness of the situation just based on the voice of Jeremy. He is tense and anxious. The kind of state he would only show when the danger is beyond his capabilities.

”Leader, Jeremy, whatʼs wrong?”

”A huge number of wild beasts are coming towards our side. All hunters, elementalists, and warriors get ready to fight. For those who canʼt fight, have someone accompany them and head to the south region ahead of us!” Jeremy commanded, but in the middle, his words changed. ”No. Everyone prepares to run. I will remain to block them.”

”Leader Jeremy, we can also fight!” some of his subordinates and fighters said to him, as they couldnʼt choose to leave behind a comrade just to save their lives.

”Thatʼs right! We can protect the captain with you!”

”Itʼs better to fight and die together!”

Jeremy was silent for a moment, as if he were touched by his comradesʼ words; they didnʼt know that these words just made his heart colder.

He shouted, ”Hundreds of beasts. All aggressive to the madness. Itʼs the same ones like that snow leopard we hardly defeated as a group.”

”More than a hundred, less than a thousand.”

”Do you know what this means!? We can only escape!”

These words of Jeremy terrifies them. They know how sharp the instinct and sense of smell Jeremy possessed. When it comes to sensing danger, it can be said that this ability of his is stronger than that of their captain, Leng Jun.

At this point of time, the human race finally faced danger that had no way of escaping. Most everyoneʼs face turns white at this point. This can no longer be called a danger but a possibility of extermination.

Jeremy sighed, ”Leave. Run to the south. I will try to block as much as I can. You guys, try to live and survive, as only when one is alive is there possibly hope in this world.”

”Why canʼt you just leave with us?!”

”I canʼt leave. If I donʼt slow them down, those who have gone ahead and canʼt even protect themselves would only become food for these beasts. Also, the captain still hasnʼt woken up,” Jeremy said.

Only at this time did most men in the camp look at Leng Jun as a burden. If not for him, they wouldnʼt have stayed in this area for too long and would have at least entered the south region, making them far away from the incoming danger looming on their heads at this moment.

Seeing the unfriendly gaze of his master, Chuchu, this fire elemental viper king, who remained friendly, turned vicious at this moment. He was glaring at all the humans surrounding them.

{Stay away! Leave, I, Chuchu, is enough to protect AʼJun! You mortals arenʼt worthy of AʼJun. After all, if not for him, you would have longed to freeze to death! Starved to death! Ungrateful bastards!}

HISSSS!!!

Everyone was terrified by the hot, red fire that was breathed out by the huge viper. This deep red fire created a wall that separated Chuchu and Leng Jun from the other humans. The clear distinction made the humans feel guilty, but they couldnʼt apologize at all as they still believed that everything happening right now was Leng Junʼs fault.

”Chuchu, calm down. Please! I can explain!” shouted Jeremy.

Guang said to his master, {Remy, the king is seriously enraged. We canʼt stay near him! This red flame is as hot as a boiling magma.}

Only Jeremy panicked, seeing Chuchuʼs distrust towards humans, and even forcibly separated the two of them from the crowd. Jeremy, who was the closest to the wall of fire, was protected by his elemental, Guang. But the others are misfortunate; they received a few burns on their skin, making them cry out in pain.

{Just as I thought! Except for AʼJun, all other humans are bad!} shouted Chuchu as he became overprotective of Leng Jun, who still didnʼt wake up after Chuchu caused this much commotion.
