I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1410 19.69 Second Red Star - Migration and Sacrifice

Federation Star

Underground Sanctuary, Deep Haven...

After learning that the south region is safer than here in the north, the humans living in Deep Haven had all decided to leave. At first, the elders declined to leave this place as they couldnʼt bear to once again become the burden of their children and families. But after learning that Captain Leng Jun had a way to keep them warm during the journey, they all decided to leave together.

They would at least try their best to not slow down everyone.

The package for each family and individual is minimal. Mostly food and some basic necessities. The base also distributed thick animal wool winter jackets, thick pants, and boots for the journey. A sled was also created for carrying the elderly, children, or many others who might get injured on the way. Everything was basically done efficiently and fast.

Humanityʼs unity had been once again tested in this perilous situation. While everyone was about to head out, the whole hideout started to crumble, as if it had been hit by something large and powerful. Those who were in the surveillance room were panicking as they saw the scene of the huge Ice Elemental Wolf King falling above the land that was just directly above Deep Haven. His falling impact had caved in the thickest metal that surrounded the underground facility. He was rammed directly by the enraged beast king and ended up in such a sorry landing.

BOOOOOM!

Those who were inside the underground facility were terrified by such a scene. The tall ceiling above their heads had bent down, caving in. They were quite lucky that a hole wasnʼt made. But with the Ice Elemental Wolf King above their heads, there is no way they would be calm.

Old Surge command: ”Everyone, Run! Meet in the location we had decided.”

Those young men who were strong enough had carried away the elderly men and women. The ladies carried any children they could see in their line of sight and escaped before the hole was made above their heads.

Leng Jun wanted to leave with his father but was told to leave. ”Xiao Jun, you go as well!”

”N-No! I can also fight!” exclaimed Leng Jun, who looked terrified at the scene of separation before his eyes.

Old Surge reprimands, ”Only you know the way to the South and find the Ice Elemental Penguin King. You are a soldier yourself. Go now! We will block the enemies. Xiao Jun, this is an order!” the foster father of Leng Jun said.

At this point, the corner of Leng Junʼs eyes turned red. He looked at his old father and his old comrades. These are all former, proud soldiers of the Federation. They are the only remaining sentinels and guides that are alive after the apocalypse has arrived. Those who had awakened as an Elementalist lost all their abilities as sentries.

Those that didnʼt awaken like his father, Old Surge, maintain their physical abilities and mental abilities, as well as their quantum abilities. Their existence in this world is the rarest since the apocalypse descended.

Old Surge pats his sonʼs head and bumps their foreheads. ”Xiao Jun, you are now the new leader of the base. Also, I forgot to tell you before. Welcome home... and goodbye!”

BAAAM!

{Hoh~ So this is where the ants are hiding! The underground indeed fits you, damn parasites!} The Ice Elemental Wolf King said.

A hole was made above their heads, and before the Ice Elemental Wolf King could peer within, the old sentinels had summoned their quantum beasts and jumped on the Elemental King, making him dodge away from the base. Old Surge didnʼt hesitate as he stepped forward; following right behind him are his few subordinates that have lived on with him until now.

They had once again lifted their weapons and fought for the future of the younger generation.

”Boss, we need to go!” said Jeremy.

Leng Jun struggles, but his subordinates have forcibly carried him and pulled him away. ”Let me go! I told you to fucking let me go. Jeremy! You guys!”

”Sorry, boss! This is the last order from the old man!”

”Only for this time! Please forgive us; we wonʼt listen to your orders, Captain!”

Jeremy had pulled away Leng Jun, who wanted to stop his foster father, but his confidants and subordinates didnʼt dare let him go as they escaped using the time bought by the elders with their lives on line. Their faces were covered with tears that immediately frosted as soon as they got to the surface.

Leng Jun can only watch his foster father and other uncles fight against two huge beings. They were like ants fighting an elephant, but despite that, they showed no fear as they fought against the Ice Elemental Wolf King and the Beast King, Leonhart Reiner.

There are some old soldiers who, upon seeing the approaching groups of ice elementals and beastmen, choose to self-implode and drag them to death. Even if the ice elementals didnʼt die under the explosion, at least the beastmen did. This also slowed down the chase of the ice elementals, as they needed time to heal themselves before being able to move.

The migrating humans only saw thick clouds of smoke and heard some explosions. Even though they didnʼt know what was happening behind them, they chose not to turn around and waste more time. They run towards the south to survive. This is the only way.

Leng Jun had finally calmed down when theyʼd reached the distance from the location of the Deep Haven. Jeremy and the others had no choice but to let him go, as his skin had once again turned hot enough to burn their hands. Thankfully, they immediately let go and only got a light burn.

In his despair, Leng Jun kneeled on the cold and snowy ground, which instantly melted the moment he lost control of his emotions.

ARGGHH~

Chuchu warned Jeremy and the other humans. {Stay away from him! He is about to awaken as an Elemental King!}

Jeremy and the others were shocked by such a delightful event. Even so, they couldnʼt feel happy about this news because of what happened in their former home and to their seniors. Jeremy noticed that the more intense Leng Junʼs emotions are, the hotter his fire gets.

”Do you Fire Elementals need a strong emotion to evolve?” asked Jeremy.

The Fire Elemental Viper King said, {Yes. Fire involves all emotions in existence. The stronger the emotion, the hotter the fire can get. Rage is the strongest catalyst for our evolution. I also evolved as an Elemental King when I saw my parents sacrifice themselves to save me. This is something a fire elemental is inevitable to undergo to evolve.}

{All elements need to undergo such a point to evolve. The reason why there are fewer Elemental kings than low-tier elementals is also because of this. Those who failed to achieve evolution will die.}

Jeremy asked, ”So for the captain to evolve into an Elemental Emperor and ascend to godhood, he will need to experience this for the second time?”

Fire Elemental Viper King, Chuchu didnʼt speak out the answer but nodded in agreement to Jeremyʼs words. The human called Jeremy thought deeply for a moment and said, ”I think I understand now.”

{Please donʼt tell AʼJun. Or he would hold back his evolution like I did.} Chuchu said.

Jeremy and his comrades promise not to tell Leng Jun a thing about this event. He had fallen into such a deep meditative state that he hadnʼt even heard the conversation between Chuchu and the rest. He had fallen into his deep consciousness for the second time. This time, Chuchu is no longer in this place, as he already exists outside.

After looking around the dark place that looked like the abyss, he recalled a few broken fragments of his forgotten childhood. Leng Jun watched the scene of his past as a child. When his foster father adopted him from the orphanage,. Live with Old Surge, happily eating their meals together and living quietly.

The two first separated when he started working for the special forces. He can barely go home once a year, and his foster father is busy in the military. They were able to reunite after his father was dismissed from his position after wanting to stop the old marshals from invading the Hive Star.

The Zerg race is a lot more resilient than the human race. In the first place, the insect race wanted to sign a peace treaty with them, but because of the arrogance of the old marshals, the human race became the enemies of the Zerg race and suffered from war almost every year. They lost a lot of soldiers; sentries had gone mad from spiritual contamination, and guides died under mental attacks.

It was a continuous cycle of never-ending war, blood, and battles.

Only when the Federation Star lost most of their soldiers in the last war did the Federation gain a short peace. But who would have expected this to be just a peace before the huge storm? The Frozen Apocalypse had descended on their world. In that disaster, more than half of the human race died, and they were replaced as the masters of the Federation Star.

Ice Elementals were born one by one until Elemental Kings and Elemental Emperors were born. It was at this time that the human race completely lost their place on the planet they were born into and could only live underground.

The human race is adaptable. Regardless of the limited population, they happily adapted to living underground. The Sentinel and Guides were replaced by Elementalists, allowing them to gain a foothold in this world. Elementals from another world were called upon this world, and those who had signed a contract will be able to call these otherworld elemental helpers.

These elements had once again helped the human race adapt further to the changes in the Federation. Even though they could live on the surface. These elementals had given them the ability to fight against the natural ice elementals on the federation star. Who would have thought that just after they had adjusted, the Beast Race would invade the Federation Star?

Though these beastmen didnʼt attack humans and targeted the Ice Elementals instead, the human race, which had been living underground, was dug out and is once again forced to escape under the sacrifices of their fathers, uncles, aunts, and senior soldiers. The human race had once again escaped from death and survived.

Within the subconsciousness of Leng Jun, he had re-watched his life like a movie, waiting for someone to arrive. As expected, his father, Old Surge, appeared. Like how Chuchuʼs soul appeared in this place after his death, his foster father had also arrived.

”Son, what is this place?” asked Old Surge.

Leng Jun stares at his foster father with bloodshot eyes. Upon meeting him here, he knew that he had perished in reality.

”Father, this is the place I told you about before. You...” Leng Jun couldnʼt tell his father that he was dead.

But he didnʼt say more for Old Surge to understand. ”Tsk! To think I was only able to cut off an arm of that black lionʼs and stab the heart of the Ice Elemental Wolf King before death!” Old Surge said.

Though Leng Jun didnʼt know what would happen to an Elemental King after it lost its heart, the Beast King was at least crippled. As expected of his father, he is so proud of him.

Old Surge said, ”So why did you appear here again? Donʼt tell me you died too! You foolish son!”

”I might not be dead. I also appeared here when I awakened as a hybrid elemental,” said Leng Jun. ”Itʼs great to see my father here.”

”Xiao Jun, as the future leader of humanity, you canʼt be too dense. That elemental of yours, Chuchu, was it? Donʼt make him do everything. Did you really think a soul had that much power? Watch over that child. He is too dependent on you.

Donʼt let Chuchu down!” warned Old Surge.

Leng Jun had a conversation with his father until his shape started to fade, which means he is about to wake up in reality.

Old Surge hugged his son for the last time and said, ”Father can no longer accompany you to whatever the future unfolds. Just protect those who you wanted to protect and stay with them until the end. Be happy and live to the fullest. Son, this is all I want for you to achieve.”

”Haha~ it sounds harder to achieve in this kind of world, though. Even so, I shall do my best, Father,” Leng Jun said with a smile as he faded in the space he was in.

After Leng Jun disappeared, all emotions on Old Surgeʼs face faded. A monotonous voice, which only the Autonomous heavens possess, resounds in the black room. It seems that the Heavenly Laws of the Federation Star isnʼt dead, but rearranging the plot of the world with the new chosen protagonist.

{World Error is under repair. Virus detected. Intruders who had not been included in the storyline had been thrown out. The new world plot had been uploaded. Reloading the new set of characters and the sequence of the world scenes. A new story has been uploaded.}

As long as one is a mortal, there is no way for them to go against the world, especially when the heavens are always watching.
