I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1416 19.75 Second Red Star - A Lifetimeʼs Gratitude

The Fire Elemental Viper Kingʼs outburst affected everyone in the area. The tall wall of fire surrounds only him and his master, Leng Jun, leaving all others outside. Those who failed to avoid it in time received some burns. At the very least, Chuchu didnʼt choose to burn them to ashes, despite his anger. But they could only blame themselves for this result.

Jeremy tried to speak out for their group and can only shout outside the wall of fire. ”Chuchu, they didnʼt mean all of those words. I, at the very least, donʼt plan to leave the captain behind. I wanted to protect him. He is my brother and my only family left!”

---

These words are Jeremyʼs real feelings. He is an orphan like Leng Jun and he is also someone from the same orphanage as him. After Leng Jun was adopted by Old Surge, donations to their orphanage came as if it supported everyone living in it. It came to the point where almost all of the children from the orphanage received support not only for their living expenses but also for their education.

When Jeremy became an adult, he joined the military and was scouted as someone from the special forces, where he met Leng Jun once again. It was also at that time that he overheard the conversation between Leng Jun and his adoptive father, Old Surge.

General Surge spoke, ”Son, you should also save some money for when you get married in the future. Ever since you started doing part-time jobs, when you were able to do so, you donated all of your money to the orphanage you came from. Father had been donating regularly; there is no need to send more. All of your friends have grown up and gained their own lives in society.

Itʼs time to think for yourself.”

”Father, I donʼt want to forget my origins. I love you as my family, but without the orphanage keeping me safe until I met you, we might never have met,” said Leng Jun.

General Surge laughed and couldnʼt agree more. ”That is indeed true. Okay, do as you wish. But there is no need to be out on missions all the time. You should also rest, son.”

”Isnʼt that why I am here? I heard the food in your place is good. You should treat this son to a small feast,” Leng Jun said.

Old Surge was delighted and stood up to drag his son to the nearby restaurant. ”Then letʼs go. This old man will make sure to get well fed. Hahaha~”

It was only that day that Jeremy understood that the reason why he and the orphanage were able to survive was all because of Leng Jun. In order to repay him, he joined the special forces and asked to join Leng Junʼs team. When they recognized each other, Leng Jun treated him as before. A brother is not related by blood. It was also because of this that Old Surge trusted Jeremy after his son.

Because this is the brother his son has chosen for himself.

Elementals are sensitive to emotions. They can perceive whether someone is lying or not. Chuchu senses that Jeremy is only telling the truth and extinguishes the wall of fire. Even so, the Fire Elemental Viper King looked at the other humans with extreme vigilance. If something happened at that point, he would not think twice about acting.

Chuchu said, {You are not lying and I believe you only because you are the brother of AʼJun. The others must leave, though.}

Jeremy nodded his head and turned around to look at his subordinates and said, ”Go rejoined with the group ahead of us. I alone will be enough here.”

”But boss! There is no way you can do it alone.”

”We will stay here to fight.”

”We wonʼt leave! We choose to live and die with you.”

Fire Elemental Ferret spoke out. {Itʼs already too late to leave.}

As soon as Ferret Guang said these words, the group finally saw a huge group of wild animals coming towards their direction. The sheer number alone made them blind; there are indeed more than a hundred of them. Countless roaring and howling sounds of excited animals were coming for them.

”Fuck! How can there be so many!?”

”All of their eyes are glowing gray! Itʼs the same as that snow leopard from before!”

”Boss, what should we do?”

Upon sensing the danger this animal was bringing, he commanded his subordinate, who signed a contract with earth elemental.

”Shiva, raise the ground we are in as high as you can!” Jeremy commanded.

He actually wanted to use an underground route, but the heat around Leng Jun would be enough to suffocate them underground as it would burn the oxygen they needed to breathe. After all, an underground tunnel created by elementals is different from the underground base they used to live in.

Thatʼs a place which was created for someone to live even underground and an ordinary underground tunnel would be completely different from it.

”On it!”

The human named Shiva asked his Earth element to raise the area they were in. They watch the scene of the beast hordes getting smaller as they ascend. Unfortunately, the danger isnʼt on the land alone. There are birds who ate meat and ended up eating those animals affected by chaos energy and getting affected by it.

In the sky, eagles, hawks, crows and other birds that eat meat flew toward them. The eyes of these birds also possessed a gray shade, like those of wild animals underground. Now they had to defend both the sky and the land. This time Chuchu no longer just watched and covered the earth they were in with hot fire.

Most animals affected by chaos energy were not afraid of death. They climbed through the fire and some were even burned to ashes instantly. This attack from Chuchu greatly lessened the burden on humans. Even so, his only priority is still Leng Jun.

The number of these wild animals diminished quite a lot, but their sheer numbers alone made it seem as if those they killed werenʼt even half of those who were still alive. a typical affected host of the chaos energy would never stop unless they killed their prey or got their body broken enough to not be able to move.

The chaotic energy in their bodies only increased their strength but not promoted healing. But since this power made its host fearless, as long as its vessel could move, it would continue to target them. Thatʼs why they only have eyes on Jeremy and the others, not caring for their life and deaths.

Jeremy and his subordinates defended the area they were in. Despite the fact that the land they were on was elevated above the original ground, the persistent beast tried its best to climb up. They even used the bodies of their dead companions and continued to climb up like zombies. As for aerial animals, most of them were burned down by Jeremy, but this itself took a toll on his body.

For an elemental from the spirit world to materialize on the federation star, they used their contractors qi. Thatʼs why those who can wield more qi were able to summon a much more powerful elemental to sign contracts with.

”Boss, they are endless. What should we do!?”

”Just when will Captain Leng wake up?”

”We will only die if this continues!”

Shiva himself only needs to focus on the land under his palm and keep it above ground. He needed to support not only the weight of the land but also his comrades who were on it. Thatʼs why, despite not fighting, the consumption of his qi is continuous and much greater than that of others who could rest.

Jeremy looked at Shiva and asked, ”Shiva, how much more can you support this land?”

”I will support it until I faint! So, donʼt give up now!” said Shiva, whose face is covered with sweat and a bit of paleness.

Jeremy looked at Chuchu and asked, ”Chuchu, any signs of the brother waking up? Can he be moved at this moment?”

{Soon. But I am not sure the exact moment!} responded Chuchu. {He is in deep meditation right now; since he is about to wake up, you can move him now.}

At this response, the other faces remained expressionless at this moment, as if they had already accepted their ending, even if itʼs death. Meanwhile, Jeremy gripped his hands in determination and asked, ”Guang, can you use those wings my brother used?”

{Wing of fire? I can, but with your current qi, itʼs only for an hour.} His Fire Elemental Ferret Guang answered.

Jeremy asked, ”Not on me.” He stared at his four subordinates who chose to stay by his side.

{If itʼs the four of them while carrying your brother for only half an hour, I can increase the speed, making sure they are out of this area enough for them to escape. But, Remy, are you sure?} Guang answered all his hostʼs queries and could most likely guess what his host was planning on doing.

Jeremy seriously said, ”I am sure.”

Upon hearing the conversation between their boss and his elemental, Jeremyʼs subordinates were not fools. They could most likely guess what Jeremy planned to do, and they couldnʼt accept it at all. They were angry enough to shout at their boss while in tears.

”No! I donʼt accept this plan!”

”Boss, donʼt do this. We have lost the elders already, and we canʼt lose you either!”

”There must be another way. Even if itʼs less than half an hour, the boss can leave with us!”

Jeremy said, ”To survive, this is the only way.”

”I also donʼt like this plan,” Shiva said as he glared at Jeremy.

Actually, the reason Shiva stayed with Jeremy was not because he was his subordinate, but something else. He and Jeremy are actually hidden lovers. Thatʼs why he is willing to gamble his life for Jeremyʼs sake.

Jeremy sighed as he nervously looked at Shiva, who was glaring at him with bloodshot eyes. ”Shiva, there is no other way to survive.”

”Let them go then. I will accompany you even in death!” Shiva declares.

”There is no point in me living if you die. If you want to go to hell, I will accompany you. No discussions! I will not listen anymore!” Shiva shouted.

The lovers glare at one another, and the others couldnʼt even hear them in their conversation. The other three already know the relationship between their boss and Shiva. They just choose to turn a blind eye to it. In the end, Jeremy gave up and hugged Shiva.

”Okay. You can be with me.”

”Thatʼs better. You canʼt leave me alone anymore,” Shiva said with a smile as he hugged his lover back.

The other three companions were about to retort, but Jeremy had already told Guang to do as planned. Wings of fire appeared on his three comrades, and Chuchu took off with his own wings while carrying Leng Jun with him. On the elevated platform under Shivaʼs control, Jeremy and Shiva send them off with a smile.

”Survive and protect Leng Jun. He is the only hope of our human race!” Jeremy said.

”NO! BOSS! SHIVA!” The three comrades of Jeremy and Shiva shouted while forcibly flying away. The other three could only cry out as they watched Jeremy use every bit of their qi and create fire and earth dragons to destroy most beasts under them.

Under their gaze, the platform under Shiva and Jeremy crumbles as they fall down, and under them is an area of fire, earth, and mad beasts. Under the sacrifices of Jeremy and Shiva, the rest of them successfully escaped from that place, heading to the borders of the south region. They didnʼt know if the couple had truly died on that day.

Not far from this area, Cid Warlock, leading a group of foreign races like the insect race, high elves, etc., saw the scene of the fire and earth dragons descend from the sky down to the large group of mad beasts on the land. They finally detected human presence after flying for a long time.

”Those are humans! Save them!” Cid Warlock commanded.

The people behind him collectively responded, ”Yes, Your Majesty!”
