His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2393: Chapter 684: Return (Part 2)

Feng Fanghua couldn’t help but smile, but her heart was filled with infinite emotions, not without a chill.

After Qin Mu finished the call with Mu Yichen, she was in no rush to go to the Mu Family to meet up with Mu Yichen.

Having Mu always made things feel more settled.

Actually, apart from Feng Fanghua, the two elders of the Mu Family were really good to her. Qin Mu didn’t know why she was reluctant to go there.

Was it because of Feng Fanghua’s plane ticket?

Or perhaps she and Feng Fanghua could never go back to how they were a few years ago.

Ever since she decided to separate from Mu Yichen, there had been an insurmountable chasm between her and Feng Fanghua.

The family of three met at the last intersection turning towards the Mu Family. Qin Mu’s car slowly followed them, the sunset falling west, and the moon lifting its eye overhead, hanging with a pale hue.

It was already past four, and the sun suddenly came out? Suddenly, the sky cleared?

This moment seemed like one of those rare, quiet times of the day. Everyone had come off work; if not on the way home, they would be dining at a restaurant or out shopping.

And they drove into the Mu Family.

At dinner, the whole family gathered together, making this spring truly warm.

The old man, happy, said to the aunt: ”Go pour me a glass of herbal wine. The family is together today, we all have to drink a glass!”

”Okay! I’ll join you! Yichen, you have a glass too!”

Mu Zihao nodded, happy as well.

”I want to drink too!”

”Me too!”

The siblings were delighted and immediately raised their hands to drink.

”Alright, alright, how about we make juice for you two siblings?”

The aunt nodded quickly from the back, also delighted.

”We want to drink cola!”

Huanhuan immediately expressed her preference, naturally, Chengcheng liked cola too.

”Today is happy, cola it is then!”

Mu Zihao said, exchanging a glance with the aunt, telling her to prepare.

The others had red wine.

The colors matched, as the old man’s herbal wine was light red too.

Feng Fanghua, having promised Chengcheng to get along peacefully with Qin Mu, and because everyone else was happy, didn’t dampen the mood and followed to have a glass.

”I heard your mentor returned, now you might feel relaxed?”

Mu Zihao chatted with Qin Mu.

”Hmm!”

Qin Mu smiled in agreement, not saying much.

Feng Fanghua hummed, disliking Qin Mu’s quiet demeanor as she recalled the time at the kindergarten gate when Qin Mu’s retort left her speechless.

Qin Mu heard the hum and glanced at her, then quietly lowered her gaze, as if she hadn’t noticed anything.

”Xiaomu, hurry up and reopen your studio. The other day, I and Mr. Jing went over to have a look. The scenery is really nice. It’s such a waste not to put it to use!”

The old man took a sip of wine and sincerely suggested to Qin Mu.

”Hmm! I know!”

Qin Mu smiled and nodded, considered it agreement.

Since she’s back, she wouldn’t abandon her craft, so she would continue working. However, how her future path would unfold needs careful thought; the studio could open again, and close just as easily, but she couldn’t let it be dictated by her whims anymore.

Though her colleagues had found partners in Rongcheng, now due to work, they were separated by distance.

”If you truly understand and heed my words, that would be great!”

The old man smiled, always conveying a pointed gaze at Qin Mu.

”Rest assured, I’ll carefully consider, because I just returned these days, so I’m resting. In a few days, I’ll plan again. I can’t remain idle forever.”

Qin Mu saw the old man was concerned and began to explain earnestly.

”Hmm! Hearing you say that, I feel a bit relieved. The time me and old Jing went to your studio, he reminisced about the old days, saying how you and your husband endured a lot to be together back then; you got beaten, and this kid Yichen went and tore down a house that had just been renovated, even made old Jing’s son suffer a lot, I heard.”

The old man said while glancing at his grandson.

These events seemed like they belonged to another lifetime; brought up by the old man, the couple had difficulty recalling yet it felt distant like a past life.

Even Feng Fanghua and Mu Zihao fell silent recalling these events.

Huanhuan and Chengcheng watched as the adults suddenly became quiet, not understanding what happened, so they quietly sipped their cola, not interrupting at all.
