His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2376: Chapter 680: Pursuing My Wife Across a Thousand Miles (12)_5

Huanhuan said, ”I want to go home too!”

Then the siblings remained silent, both lowering their long eyelashes.

Qin Mu and Mu Yichen stood aside; after a long while, Qin Mu looked at Mu Yichen again. She noticed his clothes were still wrinkled, and her heart trembled involuntarily as she raised her hand to touch his arm. Indeed, his clothes were still wet.

”Mu Yichen, you should go change your clothes!”

Qin Mu’s heart tightened, suddenly realizing his complexion was off. She wanted to scold him for treating himself so poorly, but when she spoke, it was only this that came out.

”I’m fine!”

Mu Yichen said lightly, a bit dismissive, not looking at her.

Qin Mu saw him walking forward and moved in front to block him: ”Go change your clothes quickly.”

”I said I’m fine!”

Mu Yichen repeated, glancing at her, but was still quite displeased.

”Please go change your clothes, okay?”

Qin Mu realized he was truly upset. Suddenly, she lost her temper and started coaxing him gently.

”Dad, go change your clothes and then come back. Mom and I will take care of my brother here, it’s okay.”

Huanhuan turned around, sensibly speaking to Mu Yichen.

Only then did Mu Yichen leave.

Qin Mu instructed him to drive carefully, then returned to the ward, sitting beside the hospital bed and holding the siblings.

”Mom, if I die, would you and Dad have another little brother?”

Chengcheng suddenly asked her.

”What silly talk? Why would you die? You’re still growing up, and... you forgot, you promised your great-grandfather to become a soldier when you grow up, fulfilling his wish.”

Qin Mu spoke softly to Chengcheng, mentioning the promise.

Chengcheng seemed to suddenly remember, a simple glimmer in his eyes: ”Oh, right!”

He smiled again, finally showing some spirit.

”Silly!”

Qin Mu touched his warm little face, smiling as she spoke to him.

”Mom, would you and Dad want a little brother?”

Huanhuan suddenly curiously looked up at Qin Mu and asked.

”Do you both want a little brother?”

Qin Mu asked them, feeling extreme happiness being with her children now, able to talk about anything.

”Yes!”

Huanhuan nodded.

”A little sister is fine too!”

Chengcheng lay on the bed, mentioning hopefully as he watched his mom.

Qin Mu held his hand, smiling gently: ”Is that so?”

”Me too! A sister is fine! I can give all my clothes to her to wear!”

Huanhuan said.

”Why make her wear your old clothes? Our family has money; we can buy her many new clothes and new toys!”

Chengcheng was displeased with Huanhuan’s idea.

”Alright, new ones are fine. Plus, I’ll be grown up by then, I can make clothes for her with Mom, and make some for you as well.”

Because Chengcheng had just escaped a life-threatening situation, Huanhuan particularly pampered him.

Chengcheng was satisfied with his sister’s response this time but felt a bit tired, not wanting to talk anymore.

”If you’re sleepy, rest for a while. Your sister and I will be here, okay?”

Qin Mu softly spoke to him again.

”Okay! When Dad comes, tell him I’m fine, so he won’t worry or be afraid.”

Chengcheng agreed with her, mentioning Mu Yichen.

Qin Mu nodded: ”Got it, sleep now!”

Chengcheng fell asleep, and Qin Mu and Huanhuan stayed by his side, silent. Huanhuan lay on Qin Mu’s lap, feeling tired.

Qin Mu lowered her eyes, looking at her son, then her daughter, with a faint smile at the corners of her lips, her eyes shining with a translucent light.

She felt immense joy and also regret in her heart; if she had gone home sooner with them, perhaps this wouldn’t have happened.

Fortunately, Mu Yichen wasn’t far from them; otherwise...

Qin Mu dared not think further, fearing such possibilities.

The past few years, the siblings had been lively and active around her, how could she have imagined anything bad would happen?

”Mom, don’t you want to go home at all?”

In the quiet space, a childish voice suddenly appeared, with a naive question.

Qin Mu lowered her eyes, looking at her daughter’s pure, wide eyes, filled with such peace, such longing, such hope.
