His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2373: Chapter 680: Chasing My Wife Across a Thousand Miles (12)_2

Qin Mu: ”...”

Helian Hao: ”Not speaking means you agree?”

Qin Mu: ”Hmm! I agree!”

Helian Hao: ”Hahaha, I knew it. Mu Yichen, that seemingly abstinent man, is actually more intense. But you still need to balance work and rest, after all, your future together is long!”

Qin Mu: ”I’m sleepy!”

Helian Hao: ”Still haven’t decided whether to go back with him?”

Qin Mu: ”I’m quite well here. Sleeping!”

Mu Yichen put away her phone and set it aside, then turned to look at her. Now she was asleep, so quietly. His long fingers couldn’t help but reach out to touch her forehead, gently brushing aside her stray hair. His dark eyes were undeniably tender, yet his brow showed some wistfulness.

After so many years, he thought, if their story was made into a film, selecting bits and pieces could make it entirely sincere.

Maybe, that’s exactly what he should do!

Because then, perhaps she could see a little bit of his true feelings in the movie, see a little bit of her own true feelings.

That night, he fell asleep late beside her.

—

Morning! Outside, small birds chirped, occasionally landing on branches, then leaving shortly.

When Qin Mu woke up and opened her eyes, she saw a cup of well-known milk tea from here placed on the bedside table. She instinctively propped herself up in bed, ran her fingers through her hair, and turned to grab the milk tea.

Now the milk tea was already cold! But in her eyes, a warm smile gradually spread.

Later last night, as she waited, she started to feel sleepy, even chatting with Helian Hao felt listless. When he returned, Qin Mu wondered if she looked good while asleep?

However, whether she looked good or not, he’s seen her for so many years anyway!

Oh well!

She lifted the quilt, placed the milk tea back on the bedside, then got up. Her slender yet fair feet slipped into slippers, and she headed to the washroom for her routine.

Mu Yichen came upstairs to find the bed empty and heard sounds from the bathroom, knowing she was inside, so he tidied the bed and then headed to the washroom.

”Knock, knock!”

His hand tapped on the door, then he leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, watching the woman washing ahead, while Qin Mu looked at him through the mirror following the sound.

Today dressed in business casual, Qin Mu looked at his attire, which was a refreshing sight after quite some time, very pleasing!

Wiping her face clean, she then began her skincare routine. Mu Yichen moved closer, leaned against the sink, and angled himself to look at her bottles and jars, arranging them in the order she needed.

Probably because they’ve been together for so long, he even learned a bit about things he usually had no interest in.

Yet Qin Mu still felt a bit excited, and as she took the serum he handed her, she glanced up at him with a light smile: ”Is Mr. Mu planning to lower himself to be my manservant here?”

Mu Yichen chuckled softly: ”How does that feel? Are you willing to let me continue?”

Qin Mu sighed lightly, rubbed the serum in her palms, and applied it to her face with gentle pats before using something else.

”Why the sigh? Am I terrible?”

”There’s simply no one better than you in this world, you’re too good!”

Qin Mu spoke to him seriously, though her voice was still tinged with helplessness.

”To be excellent with you seems to mean not so good?”

”We’re an old married couple now, you don’t need to...”

Qin Mu felt amused and annoyed but hadn’t finished speaking when she looked up at his sparkling eyes and suddenly remembered something, quickly clamping her mouth shut.

But Mu Yichen couldn’t seem to tear his gaze away from her face: ”I thought you no longer considered me as your other half!”

As Mu Yichen said those last three words, he was filled with mixed emotions, his heart like a pot of ants sizzling, and in a moment, he rose, slowly encircling her waist with one arm, slowly embracing her, his chin resting on her neck, closing his eyes to endure heavy breaths.

Qin Mu watched the deeply pained man in the mirror and felt a touch of heaviness in her heart too.

How could you say anything so casually?

”Mu Yichen, go back!”

After a minute or two, Qin Mu felt this position should end, she suggested softly.

”Go back? No, not going back!”

Mu Yichen pulled her tighter with both hands, his voice deep and pained, only wishing to keep her tightly within his embrace.

Qin Mu no longer wanted to look at the person in the mirror, thought about it, then placed her hand on his on her lower abdomen, but before she could say anything, two little figures suddenly stood at the bathroom door.
