His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2377: Chapter 681: Pursuing My Wife Across a Thousand Miles (13)

Qin Mu’s hand gently stroked Huanhuan’s soft hair: ”How could I not miss it?”

That is her home!

Ever since she returned that year and had Chengcheng with him, she had long stopped considering any other place as home, and even sold the apartment in Paris later.

Living in Paris for over a year, Qin Mu suddenly thought, was it her mistake?

She shouldn’t have suggested divorce to Mu Yichen, shouldn’t have impulsively run off to Paris alone.

Having been abandoned by her parents since childhood, she originally thought she would be a good mother, but in the end, she was so foolish, so useless, and so sorry to her children.

When the door was gently pushed open from the outside, it was already past seven o’clock at night.

Qin Mu heard a soft ’click’ and looked up to see Mu Yichen returning.

His face was still somewhat pale, but he had changed into clean clothes, which put Qin Mu at ease, placing Huanhuan on the other side of the bed to sleep, and then got up: ”Did you take any fever medicine?”

As she spoke, she raised her hand wanting to touch his forehead, he looked like he had a fever.

Mu Yichen, however, slightly dodged to the side, leaving Qin Mu’s hand hanging in mid-air.

She couldn’t help but feel disappointed, but she told herself not to mind, watching him walk to the bed and sit down, while she silently stood there watching.

Today must have been a big shock for him too, right?

His heart must be more anxious than hers.

But now since he doesn’t want her comfort, nor her to ease his mind, so be it!

She quietly opened the door and left.

She found a pack of cigarettes in her bag at some point, but it must have been there for a while, the box was bent, but only two cigarettes were missing.

She didn’t have the energy to think about when she bought the cigarettes, she just went to the staircase, stood by the window, looked at a row of window gaps, and then lit the cigarette in her hand.

Her hands trembled, maybe it was the wind blowing in chilling her, or perhaps, her heart was too suppressed.

The night was bleak, she finished one cigarette, but hadn’t come to her senses yet, until the gusts of wind blowing on her face made her get used to it.

Chengcheng’s injection was finished, and at nine o’clock at night, the family returned home.

Qin Mu knew Mu Yichen was sulking with her, so she didn’t say much to him, just cooperated in many ways.

”Dad, can I sleep with mom tonight? And you too!”

After returning home, Chengcheng lay on Mu Yichen’s shoulder and asked softly.

”Of course you can!”

Mu Yichen agreed without even thinking.

Huanhuan made a disgusted face behind Chengcheng, who ignored her, turned his head, and buried his face in Mu Yichen’s neck.

During dinner, Chengcheng only ate a little, but Huanhuan was really hungry and ate a lot, Mu Yichen and Qin Mu didn’t have much appetite, and soon laid on the bed with Chengcheng.

Qin Mu asked Huanhuan if she wanted to sleep together too, after all, the siblings always liked to compete to be with them.

”I don’t want to! So gross!”

Huanhuan made a disgusted face and then slipped back to her own room.

Qin Mu stood at the door watched her run so fast with a helplessly light laugh, then returned to the room.

The father and son had long finished bathing and laid on the bed, Mu Yichen said something, and Chengcheng covered his face with the quilt, laughing shyly.

Qin Mu walked over slowly: ”What are you two talking about?”

”Little secrets between men! Mom can’t know!”

Chengcheng’s face turned red with embarrassment.

Qin Mu saw him like that, although a bit sad to be excluded, she wasn’t angry: ”Alright, since it’s a little secret between you men, I won’t ask, I’ll go wash up!”

After Qin Mu left, Chengcheng looked at Mu Yichen again: ”Dad, can I really sleep here?”

”Just this once!”

Mu Yichen became serious.

”What about when we get home?”

Chengcheng thought if he could do it once in Paris, then could he do it once at home?

Mu Yichen glanced at him, then said in a steady voice to his son: ”Don’t even think about it!”

”I am a big hero!”

Chengcheng protested, mumbling.

Mu Yichen chuckled: ”Consider me owing you a favor, we will talk conditions when you grow up.”

”Why wait until I grow up?”

Chengcheng asked in confusion.

”Go to sleep, you’ll understand grown-up matters when you grow up.”

Mu Yichen glanced at his son again, today fortunately it was nothing serious, otherwise he wouldn’t live on.

”Oh!”

Chengcheng was used to adults saying such things, and feeling a bit weak, he quickly fell asleep.

Qin Mu finished washing, dried her hair, and came out to see Chengcheng asleep, didn’t dare to make any noise, quietly got into bed, but Mu Yichen just tucked the quilt corner under Chengcheng’s body as she was about to lie down, Qin Mu was shocked to look at him: ”Mu Yichen, you...”
