His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2379: Chapter 681: Chasing Love Across Thousands of Miles (13)_3

Helian Hao sent it over.

Qin Mu looked at the message and smiled as she replied to her, ”Hmm, the past couple of days the siblings have been asking me to have a little brother or sister.”

”Really? And how do you feel about that? Are you tempted?”

Helian Hao got so excited that her sleepiness disappeared.

”Just a little bit!”

Qin Mu thought about her feelings at the time, then glanced at the man next to her.

”Haha, if Mu Yichen knew you had this thought, he’d be over the moon!”

”So don’t let him know!”

”What do you mean? Are you two still together, right?”

Helian Hao seemed a bit confused.

”Yeah! Today they went to play by the lake, Chengcheng fell in, thankfully it was just a scare, but Mu had to go rescue and now he’s got a fever!”

Qin Mu described simply.

”Oh my God, and Chengcheng?”

”Chengcheng is fine now!”

Qin Mu replied.

Helian Hao sat up on the bed anxiously, looking at her phone with a very serious expression, she continued messaging Qin Mu: ”How could something like that happen? Was Mu Yichen with the kids at the time? How careless!”

”He was in his wet clothes at the hospital until late, only came back to change after ensuring Chengcheng was okay, and now he’s still feverish. He feels really guilty, and besides, I share some of the responsibility.”

Qin Mu sent it to Helian Hao.

”Ha! You’re standing up for him. He was the one with the kids, if there’s a problem, it’s his responsibility, but, I get it, you feel bad for him, don’t you? You’re like that, never standing your ground! Taking the blame on yourself, were you even there?”

Qin Mu...

Facing a friend’s questioning, she was left speechless.

”You need to change this attitude of yours, we women shouldn’t take everything on ourselves! Push it away if you must, and in any case, he was with the kids, weren’t you at work?”

Qin Mu thought to herself, she was at work, but all she did was daydream.

”Or have you let it go in your heart? Forgiven him?”

Helian Hao thought about it again, feeling something was off, and asked her again.

”...I don’t blame him!”

Qin Mu thought for a moment, then replied to her.

”Then why did you run off to Paris?”

”I’m working! I just want some distance!”

”If you don’t blame him, why create distance? You’ve been unhappy for a while seeing him with Yang Qin, and then one day you just exploded, wasn’t it after a fight that you left?”

Qin Mu, unable to argue back.

”Anyway, it was just a misunderstanding, Xiaomu, I’m hoping you reconcile and come back together! This time he used picking up the kids as an excuse, but really, he was looking for you. If you don’t come back, he probably... Xi Meng said he’s turned down several big deals over there, just waiting for you to come around.”

Helian Hao sent the message and couldn’t help but sigh.

Qin Mu was somewhat stunned looking at those words, she just assumed Mu Yichen had some free time recently, so he came to pick up the kids, and because the kids didn’t want to leave her, he chose to stay.

Thinking it was for her, Qin Mu’s heart trembled, then she looked up at him.

To say, her hand was still held in his embrace, but now her heart felt so uneasy.

”I’m going to sleep, oh! Let me know when you’re coming back, we’ll welcome you home.”

”Yeah! Good night!”

Qin Mu replied to her, then slowly put down the phone.

Welcome home?

Did she say she was coming back?

——

A sleepless night, at the break of dawn Qin Mu got up, took a couple of laps outside, secretly smoked a cigarette, and then headed back.

The weather was gloomy, the wind a bit strong, Qin Mu pulled her coat tighter around her chest, and when she lifted her eyes, she saw the man waiting at the door.

He was pretty early too.

Qin Mu’s steps unconsciously quickened, she circled around the lawn and smiled faintly at him when she got close: ”Morning, Mr. Mu!”

”Morning!”

He said in a calm tone, betraying no particular mood.

Qin Mu looked at him, ”What are you doing standing here? It’s quite cold!”

”Waiting for you!”

Mu Yichen’s tone was still so light, Qin Mu felt a chill in her throat, maybe she involuntarily took a breath of cold air at some point.

Looking into his eyes, Qin Mu always felt there was a hint of resentment in his gaze.

”Oh! I’m back now, let’s go inside!”

Qin Mu nodded slightly, diverted her gaze to look around, seeing the sanitation workers had begun their work.

Mu Yichen said nothing else, turning to follow her into the house.

”Have the kids not woken up yet? How’s Chengcheng?”

She had checked on him when she got up, taking his temperature, it was thirty-seven point three, which is not considered a fever for kids, then she left, but now she’s still a bit worried.
