His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2359: Chapter 677: Chasing Love Across Ten Thousand Miles (9)_2

While Qin Mu was washing her hands, she suddenly remembered that she and Mu Yichen had just argued, but they exchanged quite a few words.

This feeling made her unexpectedly happy!

Qin Mu secretly thought to herself, if only he would say a few more things to her.

She unconsciously lifted her head, thinking that he already knew she had prepared almost an entire wardrobe of clothes for him.

Actually, she didn’t think much at the time; she just saved a piece every time new designs came out, and slowly, it became that many.

She thought, later when he comes, regardless of their relationship, how could a designer go without a change of clothes?

Humph!

Her brain must have short-circuited!

Otherwise, why was she still thinking about these things?

Qin Mu mocked herself, and even during dinner, she still found Mu Yichen displeasing.

Of course, Mr. Mu also found her displeasing.

Huanhuan and Chengcheng watched their parents glaring at each other, and Huanhuan suddenly straightened her back, holding a bowl, and asked Qin Mu: ”Mom, why does your assistant put flowers in your office every day? What are those flowers called? They’re so pretty!”

Qin Mu was startled, accidentally biting onto her chopsticks, with a blank expression, her eyes wide, instinctively looking at Mu Yichen.

Mu Yichen also looked at her, with a casual ’you die now’ look.

”That’s mommy’s assistant; assistants have to help mommy with work, and that includes buying flowers.”

Chengcheng, seeing the situation was tense, immediately put down his chopsticks, placed both arms on the table, and explained to Huanhuan like a very excellent student.

”You think you know so much! You think I don’t know?”

Huanhuan hated being lectured by her younger brother.

Qin Mu was relieved, thinking fortunately her son wasn’t dumb; her daughter, however, was unbelievably clueless—how could she ask such a question in front of Mu Yichen? Wasn’t she just asking for Qin Mu’s life?

Even though Mr. Mu was silent now, Qin Mu was certain he was keeping mental notes against her, just like she was keeping notes against him.

After dinner, Huanhuan was forced to read, and Chengcheng took out a book of brain teasers from Huanhuan’s backpack.

Qin Mu, to prevent Mr. Mu from causing trouble, rushed upstairs early to take a bath, fearing that he might lose control and KO her.

The siblings were playing chess after dinner; occasionally glancing at their dad sitting on the sofa, Chengcheng blinked his eyes and sighed, muttering: ”Sis, don’t you think dad is a bit strange?”

”But, what’s strange about him?”

Huanhuan and Chengcheng bantered back and forth, playing chess.

”Here it is!”

”Aren’t all men the same, contradictory, huh!”

”I’m not, I’m very dedicated and sincere.”

Chengcheng immediately protested.

”Tch! You’re just a kid, what do you know? When you grow up, you’ll have to take responsibility for girls; can you guarantee you won’t be rough with them? Won’t act like dad?”

Huanhuan’s mouth opened and closed, occasionally glancing at Mu Yichen, then seriously played chess, taking Chengcheng’s pawn.

”I certainly won’t! I’m a good man!”

Chengcheng raised his chin, proudly looking down at the chess pieces on the board.

”Humph! Don’t brag, in our family, only grandpa dotes on his wife the most.”

Huanhuan looked unconvinced, slightly raising her eyebrows.

”Then I’ll be better than dad!”

Chengcheng muttered.

Mu Yichen was originally reading a magazine, but couldn’t focus now, were these siblings next to him on purpose?

Making him sound so incompetent.

”You two, enough is enough!”

Mu Yichen coldly reminded.

”Dad, go upstairs already, aren’t you feeling uncomfortable?”

Huanhuan couldn’t stand it and told him.

Mu Yichen...

”Yeah, dad, if you don’t go upstairs, I’m going to sleep with mom tonight!”

Chengcheng turned around, looking at his serious dad under the lights with intimidation.

”You dare?”

Mu Yichen immediately lost composure, fiercely glaring at his son.

”Humph! Why wouldn’t I dare? Mom was originally mine, you’ve occupied her for so long!”

Chengcheng also took one of Huanhuan’s pawns, and muttered slowly, very aggrieved.

Mu Yichen...

”Hehe, I’m lucky, once I lived alone with mom for a long time.”

Huanhuan suddenly laughed, reminiscing about the time she lived alone with mom, expressing excitement.

But, does she really remember?

”Humph! What’s so great about that, you’ll eventually get married to someone else, but I can live at home forever.”
