His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2387: Chapter 683: Returned (1)

While the women were happily chatting, Qin Mu’s phone rang again.

”You’d better answer it, how many times has it rung already?”

Helian Hao couldn’t help but remind her.

”Yeah! Just pick up, it’s not easy for Mr. Mu either!”

Xi Meng also persuaded her kindly.

Qin Mu laughed and asked, ”What’s so hard for him?”

”You don’t know a lot of things. I’ll tell you slowly later, but hurry and answer the phone!”

Xi Meng urged her slightly.

Qin Mu thought about it and still answered the call. To her left and right, Qin Mingzhu and Chen Xiaomei both had their ears perked up, eavesdropping even more eagerly than she was.

”What time will it end?”

The person on the other end of the line, sitting in a car parked by the roadside, gazed at the hotel entrance.

”Hmm! It’ll be a bit late! No need to wait for me!”

Qin Mu lightly scratched her neck with her hand, pretending to speak calmly to him.

Mu Yichen hung up the phone and then immediately turned the car around.

After Qin Mu hung up, she was still dazed for a moment, glanced at her phone, and then sighed helplessly.

”Mr. Mu is still so cool!”

Xiaomei said from the side.

”Sigh! He’s just too cool, that’s why our big designer is taking her time coming back home!”

An Nan teased.

”Ha! I find my brother-in-law quite pitiable, falling for a woman as selfish as my sister! He’s got a lifetime of misery ahead of him.”

Qin Mingzhu couldn’t help but complain about Qin Mu after hearing this.

Qin Mu...

Everyone...

”Aren’t you her own sister? Those words shouldn’t be coming from your mouth.”

Helian Hao immediately defended Qin Mu, feeling that anyone there could speak of Qin Mu that way, but Qin Mingzhu shouldn’t.

”No! We’re half-sisters!”

Qin Mingzhu shook her head, still so straightforward.

Qin Mu sighed lightly with resignation, ”Alright then, you two, weren’t you going to celebrate my return today? Cheers!”

Qin Mu was the first to raise her glass, suddenly feeling a desire to get drunk. If she got drunk, she wouldn’t have to go back and face him so calmly, she could just ignore him, skip over him, and completely disregard him.

”But after coming back, there has to be some plan, right? Won’t the studio be opening as usual?”

An Nan, always methodical about work-related matters, questioned.

When Qin Mu heard this, she was pouring wine and shook her head, ”Not for now!”

”Huh? Not for now? I’m going to rust, my dear Sister Qinqin!”

Upon hearing this, Xiaomei couldn’t help but complain.

”You know, while you’re still free, you should take the chance to have some fun. When I really start working in a while, you won’t have the chance to play anymore.”

Qin Mu thought, remember how you complained about being exhausted when you were busy?

When Xiaomei heard Qin Mu say this, she understood in her heart that Qin Mu was definitely planning to settle down this time, which meant working was only a matter of time.

”Shall we all raise a glass to a future that’s even better?”

Qin Mingzhu suddenly raised her glass, her eyes still bright and mischievous.

This time, no one contradicted her. After all, drinking needed an excuse, and this was truly a good one.

After the gathering ended, everyone called hotel staff to take them home. As Qin Mu was about to leave, a staff member stopped her at the door: ”Ma’am, Mr. Chen is waiting for you upstairs!”

Qin Mu turned to look at him, feeling slightly dizzy from drinking. She had long decided not to care about him, so she casually replied, ”Ignore him!”

The cool breeze outside blew on her face, clearing her mind a bit. Draped with a coat over her arm, she walked out, but the staff immediately caught up to block her way: ”Ma’am, please don’t make this difficult for me!”

Qin Mu then realized, today this staff member was determined to get her upstairs to meet Mu Yichen.

With a cold gaze, Qin Mu looked at him for a few seconds. The staff, keeping his head down, didn’t dare raise it, but his arm remained outstretched. Qin Mu held her breath for a moment, then looked elsewhere and said, ”Tell him to come down.”

Only then did the staff dare to lift his eyes, immediately using the intercom to speak.

When Mu Yichen heard that she had come downstairs, he was already taking the elevator down. Just as the staff finished speaking softly, Mu Yichen’s figure appeared, and the staff immediately stepped aside: ”Mr. Chen!”

”Hmm!”

Mu Yichen responded, then raised his eyes to look at the woman standing beside him. Even though she had a coat, she didn’t know to wear it. Initially, he was somewhat angry with her for the cold expression, but this time, he instinctively took the coat from her arm and put it on her.

Qin Mu then lifted her gaze to look at him, those ink-like eyes of hers, cold yet warm, making her unfathomable.

”In such cold weather, what are you doing out here in the wind?”

He mildly chided, helping her put on the coat, then held her hand. Qin Mu instinctively wanted to pull away, but he held it tightly, and she couldn’t move, so she just let him.
