His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2390: Chapter 683: Returned (1)_4

Mu Yichen slightly raised his eyes, then leaned over to eat the cracker from her hand, coincidentally tasting her fingertips.

Qin Mu’s face instantly flushed, then pretended to be calm and pushed the whole packet over: ”You can have it all!”

”If you can’t finish, leave it aside. You know I don’t like snacks!”

Mu Yichen turned to look at her, feeling a bit unaccustomed to her sudden attentiveness.

Qin Mu felt a pang in her heart, thinking if I wanted to keep it for later, I wouldn’t have given it to you.

If Huanhuan comes back and finds out her snacks were mostly eaten by mom, she might have a word with me.

That’s why Qin Mu wanted Mu Yichen to finish them all.

”Eat up, let’s watch a movie together!”

Qin Mu said as she scooted closer to him, then gave him another piece, holding it to his mouth.

Mu Yichen’s dark eyes gazed at her, and after guessing something, he looked at her with deeper affection: ”If you’re feeding me!”

Qin Mu...

”Okay!”

Qin Mu smiled, then fed him a few more pieces, and Mu Yichen enjoyed a couple of minutes.

But he soon frowned because Mrs. Mu got annoyed.

”Finish them yourself. Don’t let your daughter see the empty wrapper when she comes back. I want to watch TV, don’t disturb me!”

Qin Mu said as she looked at the TV, which was now showing the ship encountering the iceberg, tensions rising.

Mu Yichen sighed helplessly, grabbed two more pieces, then nonchalantly placed the bag next to him and also started watching the movie.

Sometimes, seemingly unimpressive films suddenly feel worthwhile when with the right person.

Later, Qin Mu tried to stay quiet but began shedding tears.

Mu Yichen noticed her silence, turned his head, and saw her quietly crying, appearing both stubborn and pitiful.

As a subconscious act, he reached out to embrace her, trying to pull her into his arms, but Qin Mu noticed and immediately resisted, repeatedly pushing him away. Finally, Mu Yichen, frustrated, pinned her onto the sofa.

”It’s just watching a movie!”

”Get away, don’t bother me!”

Qin Mu angrily told him, struggled a few times, couldn’t break free, then gave up, looking up to continue watching the movie.

Mu Yichen...

He secretly checked inside her shirt because the buttons were conservatively done; he felt a bit disappointed, sneakily unbuttoned her shirt.

Indeed, the movie-absorbed woman didn’t notice his action, which made President Mu secretly pleased.

This kind of afternoon was leisurely and filled with beauty and unexpected surprises.

Qin Mu didn’t know when her shirt was fully unbuttoned; it was only when the male lead was soaking in the sea, near death, that she realized, finding herself nestled against him, Mu Yichen lying on the sofa, an arm holding her, her head resting on his chest. That posture wasn’t due to flirtation but because she wondered when they started watching movies so harmoniously together.

”You... you...”

Qin Mu stammered, wanting to ask him what was going on, then noticed her shirt fully open, immediately waking up, crawling from his embrace, sitting with knees bent, asking him: ”Did you forget what you promised me in Paris?”

”I didn’t forget!”

Mu Yichen replied, slightly raised his hand from his chest, then let it fall back, his expression genuinely serious.

”Didn’t forget? I thought you hadn’t either, then what’s all this?”

Qin Mu thought, I still saw you as a gentleman this morning, yet at noon, you pull this stunt.

”I just hadn’t touched them for a few days, checking if there were any changes, and besides, I did so with your consent.”

Mu Yichen patiently explained to her.

Qin Mu...

With her consent?

How come she didn’t know?

But seeing his deep, sincere gaze, it seemed he wasn’t lying; could she have misunderstood?

On TV, the female lead had boarded the rescue ship, while the male lead had left forever; when Qin Mu watched the TV, her heart inexplicably sank alongside his departure, into the depths of the sea.

Mu Yichen also glanced at the TV, then coolly stated: ”We won’t be like that!”

Qin Mu looked at him in confusion, Mu Yichen explained seeing her sad yet calm eyes: ”Won’t be separated forever, and I don’t mean by death!”

”Mm! Only death can part us!”

Qin Mu suddenly laughed, teasingly.
