His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2355: Chapter 676: Chasing Love Across Thousands of Miles (8)_3

Qin Mu agreed, lifted the quilt, got into bed, hugged her knees, and sighed: ”Since I saw him this afternoon until now, he hasn’t said a word to me!”

”Hmph! He must be angry with you, pretending to go see the kids to meet you. He must be upset, so you better be careful tonight. Be careful he gets so angry you can’t get out of bed tomorrow.”

Qin Mu...

”Haha! Why aren’t you talking? Are you shy even though you’ve been married for so long?”

Helian Hao teased her because of her silence.

Qin Mu raised her hand and rubbed her face hard: ”Doctor Hao, you’ve really changed. You never used to say such rogue things.”

”Sigh! Haven’t I learned all this from you girls? It’s called the influence of constant exposure. But don’t take it too seriously, hurry back with him. This habit of yours running off to Paris is really not good, even I’m annoyed.”

Helian Hao patiently reminded her, as the most sincere advice from a sister.

”He’s been smoking downstairs all along. I don’t even know if he’s going to stay at home tonight.”

Qin Mu continued, now truly feeling anxious.

”Do you want him to stay or not?”

”What if he stays? There are so many rooms in the house. If he wants to leave, that’s his business. After all, the hotel is more comfortable than here.”

”You’re just taking advantage of the fact that he’s so devoted to you. You know full well that as long as Mr. Mu sleeps in the same bed with you, even if it’s a hard board bed, no, even if it’s sleeping on the floor or in the park, he thinks it’s the best. How can you say a hotel is more comfortable than your place?”

Helian Hao continued.

Qin Mu kept quiet, suddenly unable to argue with Doctor Hao.

After disconnecting the video call with Helian Hao, Qin Mu lay down on the bed again, unable to stop sighing.

Even though he’s in the house, it still feels like they’re so far apart, and she still misses him, misses his heart.

Might there come a day when, no matter what, she can’t enter his heart anymore!

Can no longer understand! Can no longer fathom.

Not hearing anyone come upstairs, in the middle of the night, Qin Mu went out again, looking at the flickering light on the sofa from the staircase; he was still smoking.

Feeling inexplicably impatient, wanting to return, but eventually still walked down.

”Why aren’t you sleeping yet?”

She stood beside him with her arms around her shoulders and asked him.

”What’s there to sleep for?”

Mu Yichen responded indifferently, his voice even colder in this chilly night.

Qin Mu suddenly had nothing to say, lowered her head to look at her slippers, then mentioned to him again: ”How long will you stay here?”

”Haven’t decided!”

Mu Yichen replied.

Qin Mu felt he was brushing her off, thought for a moment, then turned to the kitchen to pour two glasses of water, placed one for him without looking at his body on the sofa, and turned to go upstairs with the other glass.

Qin Mu turned around on the stairs: ”Does Mr. Mu want a blanket?”

Mu Yichen ignored her, just continued smoking, seeming to relish it.

Qin Mu didn’t speak further, but less than half an hour later, she brought a blanket downstairs.

”I put it here for you!”

She placed it beside the sofa and then left again.

Mu Yichen still said nothing, neither stopped her nor touched her.

Anyway, he wasn’t here for her, so if he didn’t want to talk, then so be it, Qin Mu resigned herself and went upstairs.

The result was, the next day, both of them had deep-set eyes, having not slept well.

Huanhuan and Chengcheng were eating the bread their mom just baked while glancing at their spiritless dad, exchanged looks, and stifled laughs, lowering their heads to take big bites of bread and milk.

Qin Mu just sat down with her portion when Huanhuan asked: ”Mom, where are we going today?”

Qin Mu glanced at Huanhuan, then at Mu Yichen, who acted like nothing was wrong, still ignoring them.

Qin Mu thought for a moment: ”To the studio!”

”The doll I was making for Aunt Xiaohao’s little sister isn’t finished yet. Perfect timing to finish it at your studio today.”

Huanhuan was very happy, even a little smug, chin up, munching on the bread in her hand and talking to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu smiled, thinking of Huanhuan’s passion in this area, noticing signs even when she was young.

But it seemed Chengcheng also liked it, which puzzled Qin Mu a bit.

If the siblings both become designers in the future, someone in the Mu Family might object.

”Dad, where are you going?”
