His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1986: Chapter 569: Is Mrs. Mu More Mature? (4)

”Hmm! Admiration is guilty, so you mustn’t, it’s best not even to look at him, otherwise you’ll be in danger.”

”It’s that serious?”

Yang Qin asked her with a smile.

”Of course!”

Zhang Hongyun also laughed, thinking Yang Qin took it seriously.

Later, when the server came to serve the food, Yang Qin focused on eating, occasionally exchanging a few words with Zhang Hongyun.

Yang Qin felt Zhang Hongyun was like an actress, but also thought this actress was merely third-rate.

After finishing the Western meal, Yang Qin wiped her mouth and suddenly looked at Zhang Hongyun: ”By the way, the other day I almost got raped by a few thugs!”

Zhang Hongyun was stunned and just stared at her, for a long while without taking a breath.

It was during that moment that Yang Qin read what she wanted to know from her eyes.

”Do you guess if there’s someone orchestrating behind the scenes?”

Yang Qin suddenly asked her another question.

Zhang Hongyun was momentarily caught off guard, her lips twitching for a smile as she said to Yang Qin: ”It’s possible!”

”Is that so? Analyze for me, who might be involved in this? The police station told me it’s a young woman, very mysterious.”

Yang Qin placed her hands on the table, seriously stretching her neck to speak to her, waiting for her analysis.

Zhang Hongyun’s eyes moved a bit, her stiff expression took quite some time to recover, then appeared to have a thought and put her hands on the table, seriously speaking to her.

”I think this might be related to Qin Mu.”

Zhang Hongyun suddenly spoke, Yang Qin’s eyes suddenly clouded, then she smiled again: ”You can’t talk recklessly about things without evidence.”

”Evidence? Don’t even think about it, I thought after her father died there was no one to back her, Mu and her are separated, aren’t they? Who would have thought she’d suddenly pop up with a brother-in-law, and then immediately return to the Mu Family. With her backing, we can’t possibly find evidence against her.”

Zhang Hongyun spoke as if Qin Mu was the mastermind, shaking her head repeatedly.

Yang Qin slowly lowered her gaze, after a while she smiled again: ”I’ll be here for a few more months at most, it should not be her.”

Yang Qin spoke as if it really wasn’t Qin Mu, Zhang Hongyun heard and got a little angry: ”This has nothing to do with time, don’t you understand? She just can’t stand other women around Mu.”

”If what you’re saying is true, then how did Xi Meng manage to be by Mu Yichen’s side for so many years?”

Yang Qin raised her doubts.

Zhang Hongyun was stunned for a moment, afterward, she sneered: ”Isn’t it obvious? Because Xi Meng married Qiao Yi.”

Yang Qin suddenly felt she really misjudged this woman, originally she just thought Zhang Hongyun lived a messy life and was lacking in character, now it seems, this Zhang Hongyun, is not an insider at all, she acts and speaks entirely based on impulse.”

Yang Qin looked around, some were with friends, some were with colleagues, some were alone or talking business, but just the two of them, utterly unrelated.

She stood up: ”I have work in the afternoon, let’s chat when there’s time?”

”Mm! Sure!”

Zhang Hongyun said, then thought for a moment: ”Let’s add each other on WeChat, it’ll be easier to contact later.”

”No need for WeChat, just call if there’s something!”

Yang Qin nodded slightly, then turned and left.

Zhang Hongyun had just taken out her phone to open WeChat, then looked up to see Yang Qin walking away, but Zhang Hongyun was excited inside. Pushing Yang Qin’s matters onto Qin Mu was actually a nice idea.

She invited Yang Qin out just to see if Yang Qin suspected her because of the attempted rape, wanting to make sure Yang Qin didn’t suspect her, pushing it onto Qin Mu was purely accidental, an impulsive thought. But inwardly, she applauded herself for this impulse, feeling she did perfectly.

Yang Qin walked towards the office building, thinking, how could that person be Qin Mu? If it were Qin Mu, those people would recognize her, if it were Qin Mu, the police wouldn’t give her a single word, nor tell her it’s a young woman.

Besides, they said that woman was not from this city.

Zhang Hongyun wanted to put everything onto Qin Mu, if Zhang Hongyun weren’t the one constantly causing trouble, she might believe it, but by chance, Zhang Hongyun did so much to her, she wouldn’t believe a single word.

Yang Qin strode forward, increasingly firm in her thoughts, and after returning to the company, Mu Yichen hadn’t come back yet, but she already had a plan.

——

Mu Yichen arrived at the office building after three in the afternoon, and upon reaching upstairs, he heard some movement. He turned his head and saw Yang Qin standing up from her seat, unconsciously stopped: ”Anything?”
