His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1964: Chapter 563: Mr. Mu, My Hands Are So Sore (Third Update)

”Is the food you cooked edible?” Mu Yichen questioned, just about to go eat with Qiao Yi and Zhao Huai, then suddenly stopped and said to them, ”You guys go, I have something to handle first!”

Qiao Yi and Zhao Huai hadn’t recovered from their surprise before he walked off, making a phone call.

Meanwhile, the woman eating instant noodles panicked, wanting to throw it away. Then she looked around, fearing he might see it, thought about it, and seeing she still had time, quickly finished eating it all.

Actually, occasionally eating instant noodles is a kind of enjoyment, but if the mighty Mu were to see it, haha!

She quickly cleared out that bowl of instant noodles, threw it into the kitchen garbage bin, and tossed some paper inside to create a fake scenario.

Then she sniffed around and found that the kitchen still smelled of instant noodles, hastily dug out a bottle of perfume, ran to the kitchen and dining room, spraying it to cover the instant noodle smell.

When Mu Yichen hurried over, she was already sitting on the sofa watching TV, pretending to be particularly relaxed.

Mu Yichen glanced at her: ”Come help!”

”Oh!”

Qin Mu immediately put on slippers and followed him to the kitchen.

He had bought some groceries at the supermarket near the community but didn’t expect that there was absolutely no vegetables at home, and also...

”Why does the kitchen smell like perfume?”

Mu Yichen stood by the fridge, turning to look at her.

Qin Mu was nearly scared to faint when his sharp gaze shot over, instantly explaining, ”Maybe because it hasn’t been used for so long, I came in and noticed a weird smell, so I sprayed a bit of perfume, does it feel a little better?”

Qin Mu said this while waving her hand to disperse the smells.

”Only sprayed a little?”

Mu Yichen frowned, wanting to say that the scent was close to suffocating him.

”Well, if you feel uncomfortable, then don’t cook, actually I’m not too hungry either.”

Seeing he didn’t like it, Qin Mu immediately expressed her reluctance to eat another lunch.

”Didn’t you say you cooked at home? Where’s the meal you cooked?”

Mu Yichen asked, looking around the clean kitchen, which looked just as it did last time he visited, except for the kettle she had boiled.

Qin Mu suddenly didn’t know how to answer him, but soon, she laughed, telling him, ”I didn’t buy any, I just said that because I was afraid you’d worry I wouldn’t eat well alone.”

Still, even after saying that, she couldn’t tell him she had eaten the last instant noodle tub left in the kitchen.

”Really?”

Mu Yichen frowned at her insincere smile, reluctantly sighed, ”Get out, I’ll call you when lunch is ready!”

”Oh! You don’t need my help?”

Qin Mu thought about how she didn’t really want to stay there, feeling quite suffocated.

”If you want to stay...”

”I’m still a bit headache-y, I’d better wait on the sofa instead!”

Qin Mu hurriedly refused when he wanted to keep her, and ran away.

Mu Yichen watched her distant figure helplessly shaking his head, then proceeded to get out the groceries he bought to cook for her.

But when he tried to toss some picked-off bad vegetable leaves into the garbage bin, stepping on the switch to open it, he wondered - what’s with all those torn kitchen paper strips inside?

He couldn’t help but stare for a long time; his perfume-dazed nose gradually recovered its sense of smell, then he nudged the garbage bin with his foot.

Soon, the waste paper fell into a small pit, a pit, if he’s not mistaken, should be the instant noodle bowl.

So, that’s why she didn’t want him to come over?

So, that’s why she sprayed half a bottle of perfume in the kitchen and dining room?

Mu Yichen sighed helplessly; by the time he called Qin Mu for lunch, the smell had basically dissipated.

There was just one dish and soup and a bowl of rice.

When Qin Mu sat down and saw the simple meal on the table, she couldn’t help but curiously ask, ”That’s it?”

”If there’s more, could you finish it?”

Mu Yichen asked her before eating.

Qin Mu’s lips twitched, she didn’t dare ask why her rice was missing, understanding she’d been caught.

”You’re ill right now, still eating instant noodles, do you have any life common sense?”

Qin Mu was about to serve herself soup when Mu Yichen suddenly sternly questioned her.

Frightened, Qin Mu kept her lips tightly sealed, not knowing what to say to him, feeling like she’d done something wrong, almost wanting to apologize, but after thinking it over, it’s just some instant noodles.

”It’s better not to call me at noon anymore!”

Qin Mu thought long and hard, thinking the culprit was the noon phone call, dared not complain to him, so could only blame his call.

Mu Yichen...

”Fine! If that’s what you want, I won’t call you at noon anymore.”

Mu Yichen picked up the bowl, wanting to eat, but suddenly lost appetite, put the bowl down forcefully, then stood up and left.

Qin Mu...

Not even joking around works?

Suddenly such a big temper?

”Mu Yichen! I have a headache!”

Qin Mu holding the bowl, bowed her head and shouted.

After shouting, she indeed felt dizzy.

Within a minute, Mu Yichen walked back, calmly continued eating.

Qin Mu cautiously glanced at him, dared not provoke further, so also lowered her head to eat seriously.

Qin Mu clearly heard the sound of herself chewing on vegetables, knowing she should’ve been honest.

Yet her deep concealment was found out, making Qin Mu a bit vexed.

After eating, Mu Yichen cleaned up the dining table, Qin Mu also eagerly wiped it bright, Mu Yichen came out from kitchen seeing her standing there grinning.

Luckily there was cold medicine here, Mu Yichen ignored her grin, headed to find the medicine for her, Qin Mu thought he only cared about being angry, feeling a little down, wanting to coax him, but...

”Take the medicine!”

Within two minutes, he brought medicine to her, Qin Mu oddly stared, woodenly taking the packet from his hand.

Sitting in the living room for a while, Mu Yichen said he had to go to work; usually, his first mention would be taking a nap, but now...

Seeing he was so unhappy, Qin Mu thought about how they’d only gotten better recently, as he approached the door, she chased after him.

”Mu Yichen, I’ll wait for you to pick me up tonight!”

”Get a taxi back yourself!”

Mu Yichen plainly said and then reached out, grabbed her hand, making her let go.

”No way! I just want you to pick me up!”

Qin Mu said as she faced him, stubbornly furrowing her brows, ”Are you giving me the silent treatment over a tub of instant noodles?”

”How dare I give Madam Mu the silent treatment? Five o’clock sharp, coming to get you, okay?”

Mu Yichen coldly laughed, asking her a question.

”If you’re that unhappy, I’ll just go back by myself this afternoon.”

Qin Mu released his hand, turned and walked away.

Mu Yichen’s brows furrowed too, he could be mad, what’s her deal?

Wasn’t he just worried she’d eat such non-nutritious things and fall sick?

Yet she accused him of giving her the cold shoulder for a bucket of instant noodles, does he have the heart to cold war with her?

They’d only been good for a few days, and she fell ill again, now he treats her like a delicate thing, doesn’t even ask for intimacy anymore, fearing she’s too frail to handle any moves.

But her attitude?

Still that proud and coy demeanor.

Mu Yichen irritably rubbed his brows, placed his hands on his hips, watching the woman walking toward the sofa: ”Qin Mu, come back here!”

Usually, when he commanded Qin Mu like this, she wouldn’t listen, but this time...
