His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1967: Chapter 564: Coaxing Him (Part 3)

”Oh! No! It’s a woman!”

Yang Qin glanced up, helplessly explaining.

Qiao Yi looked at her, even more curious: ”A woman? What woman would still send messages now?”

”She doesn’t have my WeChat, so she just sends messages!”

Yang Qin chuckled wryly, feeling powerless.

”Could it be—”

Qiao Yi was about to say the person’s name when Mu Yichen suddenly came back and sat down, so he held his tongue, and Yang Qin also lowered her head to start fiddling with the bowls and chopsticks.

”What’s the matter? Why did you suddenly stop talking?”

Mu Yichen looked at them and asked, puzzled.

”Just chatting nonsense, are you calling Qin Mu again? Can you change your habit of calling and texting her every day at noon?”

Qiao Yi couldn’t help but advise him.

”Change it? If I don’t call her in advance, she’ll probably just eat instant noodles or whatever, her health is always so carelessly dealt with, and her diet is terrible.”

Mu Yichen shook his head helplessly.

”But you call every day. If I were a woman, I’d be annoyed too!”

Qiao Yi added.

”Hmph! Luckily you’re not a woman!”

Mu Yichen glanced at him, the look in his eyes suggesting he’s strange, but he spoke politely.

”No, ask Yang Qin, if someone greets you every noon, if someone is clinging to you every day, wouldn’t it be annoying?”

Qiao Yi knew Mu Yichen wasn’t convinced, but he should believe a woman’s words, right?

Yang Qin glanced up and smiled: ”It depends on who it is. If it’s an annoying pursuer, of course I wouldn’t like it, but if it’s someone I like, then I’d probably enjoy being cared for, right?”

Qiao Yi...

”Now you understand?”

After listening, Mu Yichen looked at Qiao Yi, whose face was no longer pleasant, very dissatisfied with this explanation.

Yang Qin chuckled, seeing Qiao Yi’s displeasure was quite amusing.

Qiao Yi sighed helplessly: ”You two are ganging up on me, that’s unfair. Honestly, usually Mu Yichen alone can make me feel desperate, but Yang Qin, although you’re his secretary, I did introduce you to the job, so it’d be nice if you stood by my side a bit more for some good karma.”

”Alright! I’ll stand by your side from now on.”

Yang Qin replied with a smile.

Qiao Yi saw her lack of sincerity and sighed again.

The three joyfully ate, but Qiao Yi couldn’t resist picking up his phone to send Yang Qin a WeChat: ”Zhang Hongyun?”

”Yeah! She’s downstairs in our office building.” Yang Qin replied.

”Ugh! That woman is totally unclear-headed, maybe she’s an idiot, better not interact with her.”

”So where should we park the car when we go back?”

Yang Qin asked, afraid of being stopped by Zhang Hongyun.

”She might be gone by then, even if she’s not, don’t worry, I’ll protect you.”

Qiao Yi sent back.

”Great! Thanks in advance!”

Mu Yichen was in the middle of them, listening to WeChat notifications constantly. Though they could glance up and see each other, they were still head down texting, brow furrowing instinctively, turning to Qiao Yi: ”Put your phone up.”

Mu Yichen’s hand lightly tapped the table, his dark eyes calmly watching her.

”Phone? This is a personal item, you can only touch Qin Mu’s, mine’s off-limits to you!”

Qiao Yi shook his head, then put the phone into his pocket.

Mu Yichen didn’t speak, just smiled and turned to look at Yang Qin, who had put her phone on the table but had turned it off: ”I seem a bit hungry still!”

Yang Qin lowered her head to eat again, Qiao Yi also said: ”Yeah, me too, how come I can’t seem to get full?”

Mu Yichen saw their pretending and didn’t press them, anyway, what could they be chatting about?

With Qiao Yi’s personality, it wouldn’t take long before he’d talk about it himself.

After eating, the three walked out: ”Going to find Qin Mu in the afternoon?”

”No need! Mrs. Mu’s car is repaired, she doesn’t need me!”

Mu Yichen raised his eyes, thinking about what Qin Mu said to him this morning, then turned to the man asking: ”In the afternoon, ask if Jing Feng has time, and let’s invite a few others to play ball together.”

”Then, you two aren’t going back to the office building?”

Yang Qin looked at them, feeling puzzled as though they both were always so idle in the afternoons, especially her boss.

”Yep!”

Mu Yichen agreed.

”Alright then, scheduled at the South City Sports Arena?”

Qiao Yi asked him.

”Yep!”

Yang Qin helplessly glanced at Qiao Yi, the look in her eyes saying: ”You promised to face Zhang Hongyun together with me earlier.”

Qiao Yi smiled apologetically, as she wasn’t his woman; spoken promises, like spilled water, are easy to retract.
