His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1983: Chapter 569: Has Mrs. Mu Matured a Bit?

”Daddy, it hurts a bit!”

Mu Yichen still had his brows furrowed and his voice was somewhat suppressed, but he couldn’t help but smile at his precious daughter because he didn’t want to scare her.

”Where does it hurt, Daddy? Huanhuan will rub it for you.”

Huanhuan climbed up again, trying to reach for Mu Yichen’s shoulder.

Qin Mu rushed in from outside: ”Mu Chenghuan!”

Before Huanhuan’s hand touched Daddy’s shoulder, she reflexively looked towards the door.

Qin Mu was already walking towards her with a serious face, extremely tense, which frightened Huanhuan into withdrawing her hand, then anxiously explaining: ”Daddy said it hurt, I want to rub it for him.”

”Didn’t I tell you not to come in?”

Qin Mu had just recovered from a fever, but she already had the energy to scold her daughter.

Huanhuan looked like she was about to cry from grievance. Mu Yichen glanced at Qin Mu, then looked at his daughter: ”Alright, alright, Daddy’s not in pain anymore. Huanhuan, don’t be scared; Mommy just loves Daddy too much and is afraid he’ll be in pain, that’s all.”

Qin Mu, hearing his explanation, shot him a look of disagreement, as if to say, ”Which eye saw that I love you that much?”

Then she reached over him to pick up Huanhuan into her arms: ”How about going out to play first?”

Huanhuan was held by Mommy and only after hearing Mommy’s softer tone and negotiation did she nod: ”Okay!”

Seeing her being well-behaved, Qin Mu put her down, walked with her to the door, and Huanhuan looked up at her again. Qin Mu petted her hair and then kissed her cheek: ”Go on then!”

Only then did Huanhuan walk away happily, saying she would come back to see Daddy later. Qin Mu agreed but then turned around and locked the door, walking to the bedside: ”Let me see!”

Mu Yichen lay there without moving, couldn’t help but smile looking at her.

Qin Mu gave him a look: ”You can still laugh?”

”At most it’s just some bleeding. You scared my sweetheart; that’s the real issue.”

Mu Yichen softly said to her.

”Isn’t it all your fault? You didn’t take care of yourself and got hurt, and you wouldn’t even let the family know you’re hurt.”

Qin Mu said, then took off the sleeve on one of his arms to check his injury.

It wasn’t too serious, but there were still a few places where blood was oozing. Qin Mu, worried, immediately took out her phone to call the doctor, asking how to deal with it.

Mu Yichen leaned against the headboard, listening to her constantly explaining his situation to the doctor, listening to her earnestly absorb the doctor’s instructions, he felt more reluctant to recover too quickly.

Later, Qin Mu reapplied some medicine for him. While dressing him, she softly reminded him: ”You should make a call to Jing Feng later; they’re all worried about you.”

”Who’s been spreading it around?”

Mu Yichen pinched his brow in frustration, asking with a bitter smile.

”Aren’t they all worried about you?”

Qin Mu glanced up at him slightly, helped him dress neatly, and prepared to get off the bed, but was caught by him grabbing her arm.

Qin Mu, initially kneeling on one knee on the bed, was just about to put her leg down, but with a pull, she fell onto his chest: ”Hey!”

She was quite nervous, worried she might accidentally tug at his wound.

”Don’t be so nervous, your husband isn’t that fragile.”

Mu Yichen softly reassured her, then firmly pulled her close to his face.

”Having a fever together doesn’t feel too bad!”

Mu Yichen suddenly said lightly.

Qin Mu’s hands supported the headboard behind his head, staring at him with big eyes, feeling like his words implied something, but before she could understand, he kissed her.

Was he talking about cross-infection? Not bad?

But when he kissed her, especially so gently, Qin Mu found it hard to resist, unable to refuse him.

But the two of them were now slowly getting better together.

Later, they both went downstairs to eat, and Qin Mu felt relieved that fortunately, his left shoulder was injured, so no one noticed he was hurt.

But Huanhuan couldn’t help but look at her beloved daddy with big eyes, softly asking: ”Daddy, does it still hurt?”

”Of course it doesn’t hurt anymore!”

Mu Yichen smiled at her, utterly doting.

Seeing him smile, Huanhuan couldn’t help but grin, then took big bites of rice to show him. Mu Yichen smiled even more happily, and she giggled.

Seeing the joyful interaction between father and daughter, Qin Mu couldn’t help but chuckle slightly.

The meal was particularly warm and harmonious, and no one noticed Mu Yichen’s injury.

But the next day, Mu Yichen was sent back to work because Feng Fanghua heard that he delayed a multi-billion dollar deal due to a minor fever, which was unacceptable to Feng Fanghua.
