His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1975: Chapter 566: Mu’s Blessing in Disguise (Part 3)

At that time, she wanted to take him to the hospital, but he said it wasn’t necessary, just a simple bandage would do.

After Mu Yichen hung up the phone, Qin Mu had already fallen asleep. She originally wanted to ask him whose call it was, she heard it was a woman’s voice.

But soon, Qin Mu lost strength, as if her body was suddenly surrounded by warmth and became weak, having no strength at all, and her eyelids started to fight. Right when he hung up, she fell asleep too.

Mu Yichen looked at her exhausted appearance, his hand couldn’t help but gently touch the hair behind her ear, placing a light kiss on her forehead, but that kiss lingered for a long time.

He suddenly realized that Qin Mu would worry about him to this extent, thinking about her foolishly waiting for him in the rain, Mu Yichen hugged her tighter.

Qin Mu subconsciously raised her hand in her sleep to hold his waist, and Mu Yichen smiled as he felt the warmth on his waist.

Ever since her father’s incident, he actually thought that she might not come out of it for a year or two, or even longer.

He never expected her to forgive him so quickly; her strength, perseverance, and rationality were all something he admired. The little Qingmei he once didn’t appreciate, now...

Mu Yichen just kept holding her until her body gradually warmed up. But later, she had a fever again, and Mu Yichen almost fell asleep; unintentionally, she rubbed him, because of the heat, he instinctively frowned and quickly opened his eyes.

Later, the quiet room had a slight sound, he got out of bed, turned on the bedside lamp, and called her: ”Xiaomu!”

Qin Mu didn’t move, just rested her forehead on his hand, as if wanting his hand to absorb all her heat.

The rain outside hadn’t stopped, he looked at the time, it was already past ten.

Given her current condition, simply taking antipyretic medicine might not work anymore.

Mu Yichen immediately made a call again, she urgently needed an antipyretic injection.

Qin Mu didn’t even know someone came to give her an injection, what concept is a forty-degree high fever for an adult?

She was indeed burnt out.

Yet, at that time, she was still clear-headed enough to call him and asked for the doctor, with such detailed instructions.

But later, why did she lie in bed for a while and then became unwell?

At that time, did she faint or did she fall asleep?

Mu Yichen was scared to death, until a while after the injection, when she cooled down, he fell asleep next to her.

The rain stopped after twenty-three o’clock, and started again after two o’clock.

The next morning, Mu Yichen drove to buy things, the young man at the entrance stopped his car.

It was still drizzling outside, but the young man in uniform didn’t seem to care much. When Mu Yichen rolled down the car window, he handed an umbrella inside: ”Mr. Mu, this is the umbrella Mrs. Mu forgot outside yesterday.”

”Thank you!”

Mu Yichen sincerely thanked him as he took it, assuming this young man took care of his wife quite a bit yesterday.

”There’s no need for thanks, we didn’t know what happened yesterday, but Mrs. Mu stood here for over three hours. Such heavy rain, she looked pitiful, is she alright now?”

”A bit of a fever, but the situation is not serious, I’m going to buy breakfast.”

Mu Yichen explained, showing his respect for ordinary people who help them.

”Alright then, carry on!”

The young man stepped back, raised his hand to let him drive off.

Mu Yichen then restarted the car and left, his expression still faint, but there was a very warm thing flowing in his heart.

When Qin Mu woke up, it was already past eight, it was still raining outside, she was so weak she struggled to sit up, her throat was dry and itchy, Mu Yichen wasn’t there, she got off the bed, worried in her heart, did he, injured, go to prepare breakfast?

Actually, occasionally eating fast food or take-out isn’t a big deal, but someone like him, she couldn’t persuade him.

Qin Mu put on a coat and went downstairs, the house was quiet, as if no one was there, regarding the kitchen, there was no sound.

After checking the kitchen, Qin Mu frowned, supporting the corner she returned to the living room, heard the door sound, turned her head, he was back with a very beautiful package, like one for food.

”You’re up!”

Mu Yichen closed the door, hurried over to support her.

Qin Mu looked at him with a bit of arrogance and anger: ”You’re an injured person yourself, why not care for yourself first?”

”I’m just slightly hurt, still a man, a husband.”

”You’re still a father, a son, a boss!”

Qin Mu protested.

Mu Yichen saw her angry yet smiled: ”Got the strength to argue with me right after waking up?”

His voice was gentle, Qin Mu glared at him stubbornly, then took the bag from his hand.

He went to the trouble of buying ready-made breakfast.

”Not feeling great today, bought your favorite steamed buns. I’ve got porridge in the kitchen, let’s just make do with that?”

”Okay!”

Qin Mu nodded, hearing him coax her at this moment, she felt like she was holding him back, so she went to the kitchen, but Mu Yichen again hugged her: ”Let’s go together!”

Qin Mu glanced at him, then walked inside with him, wanting to tell him: take care of yourself, worry less about me.

But with him looking at her so affectionately, how could she say those words?

Qin Mu was about to get a bowl, but Mu Yichen pressed her down, Qin Mu looked up: ”Can’t you...”

”Can’t! You, who had a forty-degree fever last night, shut up and wait to eat!”

Mu Yichen’s right hand pressed on her shoulder, his deep voice reminded her.

”You mean me? Had a fever last night?”

Qin Mu questioned, then raised her hand to touch her forehead, although it was a bit hot, it wasn’t that exaggerated, right?

”Yes! Forty degrees!”

Mu Yichen confirmed in a low voice.

Qin Mu looked at his dark eagle eyes, and couldn’t help but twitch: ”Did you feed me antipyretic medicine last night?”

Qin Mu curiously asked, after all, he often did such things in the past.

”Eat first!”

Mu Yichen chuckled, thinking that yesterday you even got spanked without realizing it, oh, poor thing.

Qin Mu couldn’t understand his mysterious eyes, just blinked curiously.

”By the way, what exactly happened to you yesterday afternoon?”
