His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1972: Chapter 565: Mrs. Mu Finally Reveals Her Feelings (Part 4)

It’s October now, how cold is the rain at this moment?

Her body was already quite cold, and Mu Yichen lifted his hand to grab her shoulder and pull her away from him: ”You fool, what are you doing standing here?”

Qin Mu raised her eyes, the rain had soaked her eyes, and tears made it even harder to see, but she still cupped his face and unhesitatingly blocked his cold lips with her own.

She didn’t want to say anything, she just wanted to kiss him, just wanted him to feel how worried, anxious, and longing she was for him.

For the first time in her life, her heart truly ached intensely.

Why have such things been happening so frequently recently?

First, she saw him carrying his female secretary to the hospital, and today again...

Suddenly, Qin Mu remembered something, and just as he was about to embrace her, she suddenly let go, her eyes nervously scanning him, then slowly examining his body.

Until she saw the torn spot on the shoulder of his suit, she heard a sharp sound, as if a knife had pierced him.

Mu Yichen noticed where she was looking, glanced down at it himself, and said loudly to her, grabbing her shoulder: ”I’m fine!”

Fine?

Qin Mu didn’t believe even half of it, biting her lip and staring at him with some resentment.

”Let’s go back to the apartment first!”

Mu Yichen said as he pulled her into the passenger seat.

Only then did Qin Mu realize that the car’s interior was all wet, especially the front.

He drove inside, leaving the umbrella at the community gate to be baptized by the rain.

Later, a young security guard from the community came out and put the umbrella away, planning to return it the next time he saw them.

The compartment was unbearably silent, the heater was on, but the floor was still wet, and they were both drenched.

Qin Mu knew that someone else had been sitting where she was sitting just before, and he was injured. If not for him encountering some trouble, then someone else had faced trouble and ran into him.

Qin Mu calmed down and tried to analyze what might have happened. Later, she decided not to think about it. When the car stopped in the underground parking lot, she pushed open the car door and headed toward the elevator, with Mu Yichen following behind.

Her sweater was still dripping, her jeans were very thin, and everywhere she walked was wet.

Mu Yichen wasn’t much better off, but he truly didn’t care about anything else. As long as she was by his side, all his attention was focused on her.

In the elevator, he looked up slightly and saw her long hair still dripping water. He thought that no matter what, they’d have a hot bath first when they got back, then make her ginger syrup to drink. This cold was definitely going to worsen.

But after returning to the apartment, while the two were undressing at the door, Qin Mu looked up at him: ”I’ll go run the bathwater.”

”I’ll come with you!”

Qin Mu’s voice was weak, and her body was already thoroughly chilled.

When Mu Yichen said he would go with her, she didn’t stop him. Even if she wanted to be angry now, she didn’t have the strength.

It was only while going up the stairs that her foot slipped, almost causing her to fall. Fortunately, he was behind, and he quickly grabbed her arm and held her firmly.

Qin Mu was also shaken. She hadn’t felt it in the rain, but now she realized her entire body was trembling with cold. As her face paled, he had already scooped her up in his arms.

”Put me down!”

”Don’t speak!”

He listened to the icy breath in her voice and wanted her to conserve her energy quietly.

”You’re injured.”

Only then did Qin Mu have to remind him. She wasn’t being picky; she was afraid his injury was too severe and carrying her might exacerbate it.

But he didn’t care about any of that.

In the bathroom, the two of them stripped naked, facing each other with nothing hidden. Mu Yichen originally intended to finish bathing quickly, then make ginger syrup, but seeing how cold she was, he suddenly cupped her face and kissed her when Qin Mu was lowering her head, thinking that the quickest way to warm up was to love her.

But Qin Mu immediately resisted, and when she couldn’t break free, she took the initiative to kiss him a few times, then forcefully bit his lip.

Mu Yichen finally stopped, and Qin Mu clung to his face and began to cry, her hoarse voice pleading with him: ”Don’t move around now.”

Her voice was very weak, and it was a plea.

Mu Yichen suddenly realized something was wrong, and Qin Mu was already resting her head against his chest, crying, the faint red on the floor indicating to her that his shoulder was bleeding, and the bandage was practically useless, stained red more than halfway through.

”Alright, I won’t move, don’t cry, I’m fine!”

Qin Mu gently grasped his arms, slowly moving away from him a little: ”I know, but just don’t move for now!”

She glanced slightly at his wound, then couldn’t bear to look anymore, turned away, wrapped herself in a bath towel, and walked out. Mu Yichen didn’t know what she was going to do, but judging from her demeanor, she wasn’t going to do anything extreme.

A few minutes later, she returned, quickly bathed him, then found some gauze to temporarily stop his bleeding.

In the bedroom’s couch, after both had bathed, Qin Mu, dressed in simple pajamas, bandaged his wound and then used a hairdryer to dry his hair.

Mu Yichen couldn’t help but rest his forehead against her chest.

Qin Mu shifted slightly but didn’t say anything prohibiting. How much blood did he lose?

What bastard made him bleed?

While Qin Mu hated that person to death, she thought only of him quietly healing.

She attentively blow-dried his hair for him, just as carefully as he usually did for her.

She realized she rarely cared for him like this; it wasn’t the first time, but it could be counted on one hand.

——

The doorbell rang at an opportune moment.
