His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1890: Chapter 543: It Must Be a Dream (Second Update)

Mu Yichen’s dark eyes stared at her, questioning.

Qin Mu...

Here we go again! Here we go again! That kind of resentful gaze, as if blaming her for being an unfit wife. As soon as Qin Mu received his signal, she immediately turned her head and pushed the door open to walk inside.

Mu Yichen, like a disgruntled husband, followed behind her with a delicate face showcasing two big words: Discontent.

Once Qin Mu was in the room, she wanted to find some comfortable clothes and lie down, but when she turned her head, she found him stripping.

Qin Mu’s heart was about to break; this man always showcasing his physique in front of her every other day, is it really okay?

”The air conditioning is quite cold, aren’t you afraid of catching a cold by stripping so clean?”

Qin Mu asked him, deciding not to change her clothes.

”You should know, your man always likes sleeping naked!”

Mu Yichen said to her while unbuckling his belt.

Qin Mu could only think of two words: shameless!

But his bad habit really...

”You better change it, be careful one day when Huanhuan runs into our room while you’re asleep, and then...”

Qin Mu scanned his body keenly.

Mu Yichen chuckled lightly: ”You don’t need to worry about that, I’m sure there won’t be such accidents.”

”Really? I remember it wasn’t just once before!”

”Wasn’t it that nothing was seen?”

The CEO suddenly furrowed his eyebrows but pretended to smile, asking her back.

After hearing him, Qin Mu couldn’t be bothered to argue anymore, thinking, I can’t outtalk you, so I won’t speak.

But if she doesn’t say anything at all, it’s too quiet.

As soon as it quiets down, the CEO feels particularly annoyed.

He actually quite enjoys bantering with her, always feeling that being able to do this is better than saying nothing, remaining silent.

Later, the two lay in bed, but facing opposite directions, Mu Yichen for a moment couldn’t quite accept this silence and suddenly turned around to face her back.

”Qin Mu!”

”Hmm?”

Qin Mu hadn’t closed her eyes originally, and hearing his voice, they widened even more, slowly turning to look at him.

”Do you not realize you end up sleeping in my arms in the middle of the night?”

So serious, so solemn, so... shamelessly asking her this question.

Qin Mu’s face immediately felt like it was on fire, not knowing how to respond to him.

Reflexively, she turned away again, ashamed to the point of wanting to disappear.

How should she respond?

This time Mu Yichen really became quiet, slowly turning over into a particularly comfortable position to take an afternoon nap.

Whereas Qin Mu tossed and turned, grinding her teeth, trying to suppress her frustration, but then again, thinking about how the two are sleeping in the same bed...

They’ve been together for so many years, she truly has gotten used to sleeping in his arms.

So she suggested sleeping separately, but he wouldn’t agree. Then using his embrace, can he blame her?

After fuming, Qin Mu threw the quilt directly over her head, covering herself, fussing for quite a while until finally falling drowsy.

Mu Yichen, only when he heard no activity behind him, slowly turned his head, seeing her seemingly asleep, gently turned back to her side to look at her.

Isn’t wrapping oneself so tightly in the quilt suffocating?

Mu Yichen furrowed his brow, then raised a hand to pinch a bit of the quilt, wanting to take it off for her, but thought, what if she’s not fully asleep?

Yet, all this time, he thought he couldn’t let her get excited, turns out, it’s so easy.

Mu Yichen placed both hands behind his head, wide awake, lying beside her watching the ceiling, his eyes as usual devoid of emotion.

Until Xi Meng’s call came in, he glanced at the phone, then answered: ”Hello?”

”Boss, Yang Qin’s grandmother... passed away!”

The surgery was very successful, but the elderly couldn’t withstand the post-treatment.

”Hmm!”

After a long while, Xi Meng finished explaining, and he responded faintly, but his expression showed a bit of dejection.

The sudden silence in the room, some unknown light made the space feel piercingly bright, Mu Yichen slowly turned his head, his dark eyes looking toward the person beside him.

Mu Yichen slowly turned over, inner screams demanding he move, regardless of whether she’s willing or not, he held her tightly, tighter still.

When Qin Mu was first hugged by him, she still wanted to endure, pretending she didn’t know, but he almost strangled her, leaving her with no choice but to slowly pull the quilt from her head, taking deep breaths and turning to look at him, asking: ”What are you doing?”

”Don’t speak!”

He softly said, then snuggled closer to her back.

Qin Mu thought perhaps she was hallucinating, was he sad?

But just now he was teasing her, enjoying it thoroughly, what happened with a single call?

Qin Mu’s internal agitation gradually calmed, then just laid there, letting him hold her.

His face gradually nestled into her nape, Qin Mu increasingly felt something was off, then softly asked: ”Whose call?”

”Xi Meng!”

He replied softly, yet held her unconcededly.

Xi Meng?

Xi Meng’s call left him so sorrowful?

Qin Mu slightly furrowed her brow, contemplating, then secretly reached for her phone beside her pillow intending to send a WeChat to Xi Meng.

”Don’t do anything now!”

Mu Yichen held her and the phone together in her arms, letting her do nothing.

Alright!

Qin Mu had no choice but to stay quietly, doing nothing.

At two in the afternoon, Qin Mu went upstairs on time, by then Mu Yichen was truly asleep.

Qin Mu sneakily watched him for a while, then quietly closed the door to leave, instructing not to disturb him.

After going upstairs, seeing everyone busy, she stood aside looking down from above, thinking, jumping from here, she might not die from the fall, but would be splattered into a pulp? Probably not even left whole.

She called Xi Meng, since he wasn’t around, there’s no need to wait for a text, a phone call to settle everything is best.

”Yang Qin’s grandmother passed away, is something wrong?”

Xi Meng truthfully informed her upon receiving the call, somewhat puzzled asking Qin Mu.

”Nothing! If there’s no problem, come see the show on the third, I saved you a spot.”

Qin Mu didn’t emphasize explanations, chatted a bit more then hung up the call with Xi Meng, then looked toward the distance, unclear in the haziness.

Yang Qin’s grandmother passed away, why was he so unhappy?

Qin Mu’s heart churned with agony, irritably rubbing her brow, when someone patted her shoulder from behind.
