His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1883: Chapter 542: Showering Takes Only Two Minutes

”I won’t be coming downstairs for a few hours. What do you think Mrs. Feng will do to you after you go down? You’re so smart, you’ll figure it out, won’t you?”

Mu Yichen unbuttoned his shirt, and Qin Mu looked at the tantalizing sight, chuckling!

The tone of his voice was so cold, and yet it seemed as if his original words were: It’s for your own good, just stay here with me and sleep.

Qin Mu didn’t make a sound, and she didn’t need to.

”I’m going to take a shower, two minutes!”

He said while taking off his pants and walking off, Qin Mu’s eyes followed him for too long, until he closed the bathroom door.

Having abstained for too long, she found herself unable to handle such a scene.

Qin Mu still leaned against the headboard, her slender legs crossed, her delicate fingers gently tapping on her lower abdomen, as her mood gradually grew a little excited.

Two minutes?

He really showers fast.

Although Qin Mu didn’t check the time, she felt like it had been just over two minutes when he came out, wearing nothing but a white towel around his solid waist.

He seemed to have lost some weight, his abdominal lines more defined.

Hasn’t he had the time to go to the gym lately? Why do his abdominal muscles seem even harder?

Realizing she’d been staring too long, Qin Mu turned her head to look out the window.

Mu Yichen’s dark eyes caught the embarrassment and awkwardness on her face, but he deliberately remained silent, just getting into bed.

Qin Mu’s feet hadn’t had nail polish for a long time, yet the remnants of the last application easily caught Mu Yichen’s eye. But he couldn’t help letting his gaze travel up her legs; she was wearing little, and her long, straight, seemingly Photoshopped legs made his stomach tighten.

Before making a fool of himself, he pulled the covers up over both of them.

Qin Mu froze, reflexively turning her head to look at him.

But he had already lain down, saying nothing, not even telling her to lie down. He was already next to her, his long heavy arm wrapping around her from her lower abdomen, resting his forehead against her leg, burying his head, and closing his deep eyes.

Qin Mu opened her mouth, unsure how to address him, and gradually, she couldn’t say anything, just leaning there, allowing him to hold her.

He seemed genuinely free of distractions and quickly fell asleep. Qin Mu listened to his even breathing.

Her hands, initially unsure of where to go, slowly lifted, and after some hesitation, she finally placed them on his head, gently stroking his slightly damp short hair.

In her heart, it felt like a knife was being ruthlessly scraped, like someone was scraping the scales off a live fish—it hurt intensely...

Why, last time in London, didn’t she dare to knock on his door?

Why could she only leave him a package? To show that they had indeed met? That there had indeed been communication?

Qin Mu felt a heat in her eyes, but no tears came in the end.

Later, feeling bored, she sensed the delicate skin on her leg being pricked uncomfortably. Hmm, his leg hair was so long and hard, she wanted so much to shave it off for him.

But shaving leg hair definitely wouldn’t hurt as much as being scraped, right!

But now, she didn’t dare to do such a thing to him, because if she dared to, he certainly wouldn’t restrain himself like this anymore.

The beast in his heart, the longer it’s suppressed, she knows, the deeper his hatred will grow, and one day he’ll explode.

Qin Mu didn’t want to push him away, so she just leaned against the headboard, letting him hold her as they slept.

——

Downstairs.

”Madam, dinner is ready. Should I call the young master and young mistress down to eat?”

Feng Fanghua had just come downstairs when the maid was about to call her. Feng Fanghua paused, raising her eyes, ”Are you stupid? It’s rare for those two lovebirds to stay in the same room together!”

The maid immediately held back a laugh and bowed her head, admitting she had indeed been foolish.

”I wish they wouldn’t come out all night!”

Feng Fanghua gave the maid a disdainful look, then lowered her voice to share her thoughts.

The maid nodded repeatedly, ”Mm-hmm, let’s let them stay upstairs together.”

”What are you discussing? Keeping it secret?”

Mu Zihao and the old man were heading from the living room to the dining room and asked while passing by.

”Do I have to tell you about women’s issues too?”

Feng Fanghua glared at Mu Zihao.

Mu Zihao thought to himself, I wouldn’t dare to know, so he quickly followed the old man inside.
