His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1859: Chapter 535: The Scumbag Woman’s Warning

”Xi Meng is resting at home during her pregnancy, Yang Qin is temporarily taking over Xi Meng’s duties.”

Mu Yichen explained briefly, Yang Qin nodded at Boss Cong as a greeting, standing beside Mu Yichen in a professional manner.

However, Zhang Hongyun felt a bit aggrieved upon hearing this. She had been by his side for so long, yet Mu Yichen never paid her any real attention. He fired her when Xi Meng got pregnant, and not long after she left, Mu Yichen already found a new secretary.

”Oh! So that’s what happened! Since there aren’t many people today, Mu, why don’t we all join?”

Boss Cong, seeing Mu Yichen being unexpectedly open, instinctively asked.

”Sure! We all know each other!”

Mu Yichen thought for a moment, nodded, and agreed.

Recently, feeling bored, he truly didn’t mind, making Boss Cong surprisingly favored as he stood in the hallway. Realizing the situation, Boss Cong quickly bent and gestured for Mu Yichen to proceed first.

Zhang Hongyun stepped aside, but couldn’t help constantly casting hostile glances at Yang Qin. To her, Yang Qin’s despicability had nearly surpassed Qin Mu, especially since Qin Mu was currently not in Rongcheng.

Yang Qin, wise and astute, naturally sensed Zhang Hongyun’s hostility, especially since Xi Meng repeatedly warned her that if she encountered someone named Zhang Hongyun in business, she should watch out for Mu Yichen.

Now, Yang Qin felt that the Zhang Hongyun beside her was the same Zhang Hongyun Xi Meng had mentioned.

Yang Qin hadn’t expected to encounter this woman just days into her job. However, seeing Zhang Hongyun being held by Boss Cong earlier, Yang Qin thought this girl truly had low standards.

Of course, no matter how much Yang Qin contemplated, her many years in the company made her adept at concealing her thoughts.

Even after being seated, Mu Yichen didn’t glance at Zhang Hongyun, making her feel very sad, aggrieved, and stubbornly continue to look at Mu Yichen’s cold side profile.

Zhang Hongyun couldn’t comprehend why Yang Qin could be his secretary while she couldn’t.

Comparing physique and facial features...

But, Yang Qin was a Ph.D. graduate from abroad, and she had worked at the branch company for many years. Her return was partly to cover for Xi Meng temporarily, and importantly because her grandmother was ill, necessitating her presence to care for her.

Yet, what Boss Cong hadn’t anticipated was that both these bosses were competitors in his industry, causing him to instantly forget Zhang Hongyun’s existence. Both were vying for Mu Yichen as a partner. Today, Mu Yichen cruelly summoned them together, and as for him?

If he hadn’t happened upon this, he still wouldn’t know that his company might soon be replaced by Mu Yichen.

”Mu, what’s the situation here?”

Boss Cong’s throat tightened a bit, yet he tentatively asked his inner confusion.

”Boss Cong, you should know, our partnership only has two months left before expiry.”

Mu Yichen remained silent, with an adjacent executive lighting a cigarette for him, he took a puff, listening to Yang Qin explain to Boss Cong.

”Though that’s true, we’ve always collaborated happily. Is there... some dissatisfaction on our part, Mu, any requirements, just speak up! How is it still...”

Boss Cong didn’t continue, but everyone understood his implication.

Mu Yichen chuckled lightly, his dark eyes rebellious and cold yet refrained from telling him the outcome.

This process wasn’t initially meant to alert Boss Cong. He intended to gauge both companies’ intentions, unexpectedly stumbling upon them today, the crucial part being Boss Cong’s flirtation with Zhang Hongyun.

Perhaps, in the grand scheme of things, it was fate!

Their collaboration was inevitably destined to end.

Zhang Hongyun initially focused solely on Yang Qin, but occasionally overhearing a thing or two, she felt the situation was unfavorable. Was Mu Yichen considering ending the collaboration with Boss Cong at the contract’s expiry?

”Boss Cong, there’s room for everyone to profit! If only one company profits, wouldn’t the rest of us soon run out of business?”

The executive who lit Mu Yichen’s cigarette remarked to Boss Cong, amicably yet with a boss’s arrogance.

”Well...”

”Initially, we didn’t schedule Boss Cong, but since we happened upon each other, why not lay bare our respective terms, let Mu choose the right partner, what do you say?”

The man on Mu Yichen’s other side also spoke, feeling this was indeed a time to bleed for Mu Yichen’s favor. Mu Yichen benefited regardless, but to grasp this large tree, they had no choice.

For Boss Cong, this was entirely unexpected. He originally was joyful, believing the contract with Mu Yichen would continue, but now...
