His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1852: Chapter 532: I Said We Should Break Up

”I didn’t hear you clearly just now, say it again for me!”

Mu Yichen leaned against the door, looking at Qin Mu with a cold and distant gaze, speaking to her in a low voice.

Qin Mu looked up at his indifference, her mouth slightly moving: ”I said we should break...”

Before she could finish, Mu Yichen suddenly grabbed her by the neck.

”You!”

”You can be angry, you want to sleep in separate rooms, but I don’t agree!”

Mu Yichen’s dark eyes looked at her, word by word, unhurriedly and clearly.

Qin Mu’s wrist hurt from his grip, but she was unwilling to turn back, just listening to the voice behind her, then asked him softly, ”Is having different dreams in the same bed good?”

”We’re having different dreams in the same bed?”

Mu Yichen turned his head to look at her, although she was complaining about him, he was very sure they hadn’t reached the point of having different dreams in the same bed.

Qin Mu’s eyes slowly looked at him, suddenly unable to utter a single word.

Yes, they weren’t having different dreams in the same bed!

Qin Mu sighed helplessly, lowering her gaze again, looking at the clothes in her hand.

”Forget it!”

She suddenly said as if speaking to herself, and after saying that, she raised her hand, gently pushing away his hand that was holding her wrist, then headed to the bathroom.

The sound of the door closing was loud!

”Forget it?”

Mu Yichen looked down, at his distinctly bony fingers, feeling the residual warmth she just gave him; that phrase ”forget it” seemed to cast him into an abyss of whispers.

But as long as they didn’t sleep separately, all problems could eventually be resolved on this bed one day.

Mu Yichen glanced over at the wide, soft bed, where they had rolled around countless times; how could they just forget it?

After Qin Mu finished her shower and lay on the bed, she tossed and turned a bit, while Mu Yichen smoked on the bed, intentionally blowing the smoke her way.

But later, she still fell asleep amidst his torment; after all, the night was deep, the air conditioning too cold, and under the quilt...

Once Mu Yichen saw she was asleep, he quickly cleared the bad air in the room, then lay beside her, legs crossed, hands behind his head.

Lately, his sleep never compared to how well she slept.

But if she wasn’t on the bed, it wasn’t just poor sleep; he probably couldn’t sleep at all!

A life like this shouldn’t last too long, wasn’t she worried about his health deteriorating.

Mu Yichen involuntarily thought of the woman in his arms, that woman so gentle, completely different from the one now turning her back on him.

Mu Yichen glanced at her, then impulsively turned his head; a man in his thirties actually had to do something so demanding.

Eager to pin her down directly, to enjoy himself when he felt like it.

Just watching like this was maddening.

Qin Mu’s body moved slightly, and Mu Yichen instinctively froze, in the pitch-black night, only feeling a warm body temperature approaching him.

She always came over suddenly to hug him after falling asleep, yet she said she wanted to sleep in separate rooms?

Mu Yichen thought, I really should remind you about your behavior when you’re asleep.

——

When she woke up the next day.

While she was brushing her teeth, he appeared out of nowhere again, suddenly picked up a cup beside him, filled it with water, and brushed his teeth. Qin Mu was startled looking at the person in the mirror, then silently gurgled the water in her mouth.

”Xi Meng can’t work for a while, I need to find a new secretary!”

Mu Yichen said to her while brushing his teeth.

Qin Mu reflexively looked at him again, not understanding why he was saying this.

But considering Xi Meng’s situation, she most likely couldn’t work, and Qin Mu thought she’d need to find time to visit Xi Meng today.

”Qiao Yi introduced a secretary from our company’s France branch, Yang Qin, her work efficiency should not be worse than Xi Meng’s!”

After Mu Yichen finished brushing his teeth and rinsed his mouth, he gently placed the toothbrush back in the cup, returning it to its original spot, looking at the woman in the mirror who was also looking at him.

There was some confusion in her eyes, and his gaze was so straight upon her, without a hint of warmth.

Qin Mu suddenly felt a bit chilly, and when placing the toothbrush cup back, she muttered an ”oh.”

”Does this mean Xi Meng resigned?”

Qin Mu asked him.

”Even if she didn’t resign, she won’t be able to work within a year, so I plan to dismiss her, and this is also Qiao Yi’s idea.”

Mu Yichen said with his head down, taking a razor in hand.

Qin Mu thought of how his razor had once been hidden at the bottom of the trash can by her, yet now he used it happily, hmmph!

”And what does Xi Meng think?”

Qin Mu asked again, wondering if Xi Meng had considered resigning as well.

From what she knew of Xi Meng, Xi Meng certainly cherished her job a lot.
