His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1884: Chapter 542: Two-Minute Shower (2)

”What else is there to discuss? The young couple upstairs won’t come down, so let’s talk about whether to get them for dinner!”

The old man walked ahead, whispering in response to his son.

Mu Zihao...

He was happy to hear that Qin Mu came back when he returned, but he never expected that the family had split into two factions: Qin Mu and Mu Yichen on one side, and the old ones along with the young ones on the other.

”Grandma, aren’t Dad and Mom coming down to eat with us?”

As Huanhuan climbed onto the chair, she asked, still a bit longing for her mom.

”Nope! They didn’t sleep last night and are catching up on sleep today, let’s just eat by ourselves!”

Feng Fanghua explained to her.

”Alright!”

Huanhuan obediently agreed, though her expression showed she didn’t fully believe her grandma’s simple words. She seemed to know her parents quite well, thinking they were definitely sneaking kisses upstairs.

”Will Dad and Mom be hungry?”

Chengcheng asked with concern, looking up at his grandma, with a look so pure that Feng Fanghua couldn’t help but sigh and chuckle.

”Your dad won’t be hungry, when he looks at your mom, he forgets everything!”

Feng Fanghua whispered to him.

Chengcheng didn’t understand the latter part, but he did get that dad won’t be hungry.

”What about mom? Will she be hungry? Mom is already very thin!”

Chengcheng asked again, clearly a good child who worried about his mom.

”Let her be hungry then!”

Feng Fanghua thought of how much her son had suffered, hoping Qin Mu would face some hardship too. One person being miserable was less thrilling than a couple enduring together.

Chengcheng felt his grandma was a bit cruel, but he didn’t call for his parents upstairs, because his favorite dish, cola chicken wings, was waiting for him to devour.

The old man saw Chengcheng’s demeanor, recalling Chengcheng’s ambition to join the military one day, and couldn’t help but comment, ”Our boy here not only dreams of being a soldier but also cares for his parents and elders. Truly a child with ambition and family values. This lad will surely be no less than his father when he grows up.”

However, speaking of military aspirations made Feng Fanghua frown instantly; she couldn’t bear the thought of her grandson going off to join any army.

Mu Zihao chuckled, staying silent. He understood his father’s intentions; the whole family did, so no one argued with the old man about it. The future’s decisions should be left to the children themselves.

Mu Zihao looked at Chengcheng, feeling that his sensible grandson would be able to make a clear and correct decision in the future, and he believed Feng Fanghua wouldn’t have the heart to stop Chengcheng.

But Qin Mu didn’t expect Mu Yichen to say he wouldn’t come downstairs for hours and indeed not come down for hours. The sky outside had long turned dark, and her hungry stomach started growling audibly, protesting that she wouldn’t go to eat. However...

Qin Mu looked down at Mu Yichen, who was sleeping deeply and holding her so tightly. She sighed helplessly, fearing she’d end up with a stomach ailment.

Just then, she received a WeChat message from Helian Hao.

Good Doctor: ”Back home?”

Great Mumu: ”Yeah!”

Good Doctor: ”Want to go out for a bit? There’s something I want to talk to you about face to face!”

Great Mumu: ”Not today, tomorrow!”

Qin Mu glanced at the sleeping man, having no choice but to heartlessly decline her friend’s invitation.

Good Doctor: ”Alright then, let me ask you, didn’t you return home earlier?”

Great Mumu: ”I need to reflect; though last time I did come back quite urgently. I’ll apologize in person when we meet tomorrow!”

Good Doctor: ”Okay, then I’ll forgive you once again. Get the strips ready and apologize sincerely, huh!”

Great Mumu: ”... You heartless woman!”

Good Doctor: ”My husband says your husband’s phone is off and tells me you both aren’t together!”

Great Mumu: ”You’re interrupting my resting time with Mr. Mu!”

Good Doctor: ”Oops, my bad! I’ll get going, no reply needed, enjoy your alone time together!”

Great Mumu: ”Then take your leave!”

Good Doctor: ”Yes!”

Qin Mu put down her phone and glanced at Mu Yichen with a gentle chuckle. But thinking about her meeting with her friend tomorrow, she decided they’d meet at AM, as she’d likely spend the whole day there.

Qin Mu looked at the night outside later and felt a slight discomfort in her waist. She carefully, without disturbing him, slowly positioned herself to lie down.

Phew!

After lying down, she finally wriggled to find a comfortable position, exhaling quietly, then turned to look at the man again. He moved closer, holding her, with his leg resting on hers.
