His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1873: Chapter 539: An Extra Car at Home (Second Update)_2

”It’s getting late, I have to fly to London tomorrow, I’m going to bed first!”

Qin Mu said and was about to leave.

”No, no, stay with me a little longer! Who knows when you’ll be back next time!”

Qin Mingzhu immediately reached out, looking pitiful, like a spoiled little princess by her family.

Qin Mu looked up at her: ”Be serious!”

”Then shall we sleep together tonight?”

Seeing Qin Mu’s determination, Qin Mingzhu knew she couldn’t keep her, so she changed her tune.

”No way! You’re so heavy now, I can’t take care of you at night!”

Qin Mu rejected her disdainfully, then left.

Wang Huanyu let out a sigh of relief after watching Qin Mu go upstairs, looked down at Qin Mingzhu: ”As soon as Qin Mu comes back, you don’t want me anymore! You know how heartbroken I am?”

Qin Mingzhu turned to look at him pitifully, then hummed at him with some grievances: ”I really miss her!”

He had told Qin Mingzhu countless times before to coexist peacefully with Qin Mu, but no matter how many times he said it, Qin Mingzhu always refuted him. Looking at her now, he sighed helplessly: ”I’m tired too, shall I slowly comfort you in the room?”

With those words...

Qin Mingzhu’s cheeks blushed unconsciously, with her innocent eyes finally showing some other meaning. She nodded lightly, eager for him to carry her upstairs.

Those little eyes seemed to say, need comfort, need comfort.

Qin Mu returned to her room but couldn’t sleep, tossing and turning. It was the room she had slept in before, but the last time she was here, she pretentiously regarded Qin Haiming as an enemy. The only difference from last time was that she was avoiding Mu Yichen.

But the avoidance then seemed different from now.

She didn’t know how many times she turned over, but the sky was still not bright.

Later, Qin Mu got up, stood alone at the window, looking at the night through the not-so-big window. The night sky felt empty and gloomy, as if preparing for a curtain of rain.

She just didn’t know when that rain would arrive.

The next morning, while Qin Mingzhu and Wang Huanyu struggled to get out of bed, Qin Mu had already left the Qin Family.

Initially, she planned to drive the car back to the studio and then take a taxi to the Mu Family. But the rain lasted over half an hour and grew heavier, making it hard to hail a taxi. So she drove around the city, guessing that Mu Yichen had already gone to work, then headed back to the Mu Family.

The butler was picking up small stones in the yard. Upon seeing Qin Mu’s old car being driven back, he was a bit surprised, stood up straight. Qin Mu opened the car window to greet him, then went inside, leaving the butler in disbelief, immediately turning around and heading back.

Mu Family’s living room.

”You came back yesterday?”

Chatting with the old man in the living room for a while, he asked her suspiciously.

”Yes! Yesterday, there was a rush at the studio, so I went to work first, then visited a few places, met some essential people, and now I’m seeing you. You won’t be mad at me, right?”

Qin Mu asked him, grinning foolishly.

”You probably were already in Rongcheng when you called me, right? Avoiding Yichen?”

The old man sighed, slightly saddened by Qin Mu’s late return.

”I’m leaving soon, afraid that knowing would make him more disappointed. Better not know, I’ll return next time, and it’ll be fine!”

Qin Mu said, pouring more tea for her grandfather.

The old man watched her speak as if it were true and sighed again: ”That boy has been sleeping on the sofa these days, and as a grandfather, it really breaks my heart.”

Qin Mu was surprised to hear that he was sleeping on the sofa, her eyes deepening, puzzled.

”Mumu, wrap up your overseas matters and come back soon. Even if your master hands down his career to you, you can set up a studio in Rongcheng, surely you can shift your master’s business domestically, don’t you think?”

Qin Mu smiled and lowered her head, knowing it wasn’t easy.

If the JY brand moved from Paris to the domestic market, they might lose far more than she imagined. Those noble clients wouldn’t want her moving the studio from Paris to here until the time when everyone accepts it, which would take years, and that time is unpredictable.

Qin Mu dared not make big changes in Paris now, as her networking and relationships don’t allow her to impulsively move after just assuming the leadership of JY. In the future, she has to deliver a prosperous kingdom to the little one.
