His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1750: Chapter 489: Full Disclosure (4)

”To be honest, I really don’t want you to let some other punk do the JY advertisement!”

Li Yu said to her.

On her way back, Qin Mu was still thinking about how much he cared about that advertisement. It seemed like he and Wen Runuan formed quite a good sibling duo.

After she and Xiaomei left, Li Man brought him a glass of warm water and handed him a straw so he could drink while lying down.

Li Yu hadn’t looked at her directly since waking up, but she didn’t mind. He must be feeling somewhat sad, though he restrained himself well in front of others. Deep down, she hoped he’d let himself be a bit vulnerable and hurt in front of her instead of holding it in.

That way, it felt like there was something different about their relationship.

Even if it was just as a sister.

When Li Man found out he was in an accident, she rushed to the hospital immediately, completely terrified.

She hadn’t had a sip of water or closed her eyes all night.

Just now, when the parents were there, he told them not to worry and let them go home first. She was genuinely afraid that Li Yu would ask her to leave with them, but luckily, he didn’t say that, and fortunately...

The parents didn’t say it was inappropriate for her to stay and take care of him here.

When she was seeing the parents off, her mother seemed to have something to say to her, but seeing her with tears in her eyes, she just sighed and left.

Li Man was worried, worried that her mother would force her to leave at this time. After all, men and women are different. The thing she feared most now was getting a call from her mother, but no matter what her mother said, she told herself she would not leave until Li Yu could stand up on his own.

”These flowers look really beautiful. Do you know their name?”

Li Man sat by the side, looking at the flowers on the table, and asked Li Yu.

Li Yu glanced at her but didn’t respond.

Li Man just exchanged a look with him, then suddenly lowered her head and said as she held her phone, ”I’ll just look it up on Baidu! You probably don’t know!”

Li Yu said nothing. Just when she turned toward the bedside and gently placed her wrist on the bed, his hand grasped her wrist.

Li Man’s eyes suddenly felt warm. She looked up at where he was holding her, as if suddenly burning with fever.

”Go get some sleep, and come back later!”

Li Yu spoke to her in a weak voice.

Li Man unconsciously bit the inside of her lip, stubbornly shaking her head: ”I don’t want to!”

”If you collapse like this, who will take care of me?”

Li Yu asked her.

”Be a good girl, go rest, and come back at noon to have lunch with me!”

He spoke to her gently, hoping she would listen.

”Then, I’ll rest here!”

She said, suddenly putting down her phone, not daring to look at him, and before her tears fell, she leaned over the edge of the bed.

Li Yu’s hand was still holding her wrist. She didn’t want to move, fearing he might let go. He hadn’t dared to touch her for a very long time.

Li Yu didn’t say anything more, watching her lay there like a schoolgirl sleeping at her desk, feeling pained despite that.

Later he felt a hand covered his hand back, yet he still didn’t move.

Li Man gradually fell asleep, even though the tears at the corner of her eyes weren’t dry yet. But being able to hold his hand without being pushed away made her very content.

Li Man thought, in a few days, when his body gets better.

——

When Wen Runuan arrived at the hospital, she saw both of them asleep and didn’t go in to disturb them. She thought to herself, they indeed seemed like ill-fated lovers, having feelings for each other for many years, yet never being together because of their parents. Seeing them so rare having some alone time, Wen Runuan couldn’t bear to interrupt. She quietly opened the door, placed the flower basket and fruits aside, and then quietly left.

There was a card on the flower basket, on which she had written blessings and her name.

As Wen Runuan left the hospital, she called Qin Mu: ”Have you been to see Li Yu?”

”Mm! Before work. Did you also go?”

Qin Mu was already at the office, chatting with her while holding her favorite pen.

”They were sleeping when I saw them. It was the flowers on the table that made me suspect you’d been there!”

Wen Runuan said to Qin Mu as she walked, feeling that the flowers must have been sent by Qin Mu.

”They were indeed!”

Qin Mu smiled, thinking that after knowing each other for so long, they naturally knew each other’s little preferences.

”Should we meet for lunch? I really miss you!”

”Sure! Then let’s meet at AM for lunch. Do you still like fish soup?”

Qin Mu asked after hearing Wen Runuan’s words.

”Of course!”
