His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1736: Chapter 486: An Enigmatic Smile

Qin Mu returned home, and as soon as she parked the car and got out to help Chengcheng open the car door, Chengcheng snuck out with his toy and dashed inside without looking back.

Qin Mu hadn’t even closed the car door yet. She leaned against it, watching the little guy run inside, giving a helpless chuckle. She thought to herself, you played outside all afternoon without saying you missed home, and here you are running so fast as soon as you get back.

Qin Mu was thinking about Mu Chengyang, and when she turned around, she saw Mu Yichen’s car arriving, so she decided to stay there, waiting in the snow for Mu Yichen’s car to stop beside her.

Sure enough, Mu Yichen parked the car next to her, noticing her car door wasn’t closed, he knew she must have just arrived home.

After getting out, he closed the car door, glanced at her, and gave a mysterious smile.

Qin Mu also smiled and gently closed the car door, walking over to him.

”Off work already, Mr. Mu?”

Qin Mu joked with him.

”Yeah! Mrs. Mu had a tough day taking care of our son!”

Mu Yichen mimicked her tone, playing along.

”It was really tough! Your son doesn’t play by the rules at all!”

Qin Mu nodded, not denying that it was exhausting, and instead began to complain about Mu Chengyang.

Mu Yichen didn’t expect her to actually say it was tough. His dark eyes turned to look at her, then he raised his hand to hold her shoulder, pulling her closer, and whispered, ”How about I carry you inside?”

”No need for that! It’s just a bit tiring!”

Qin Mu’s expression stiffened, and then she quickly pushed him away slightly, speaking without daring to look him in the eye.

Mu Yichen chuckled softly, then wrapped his arm around her and walked inside together.

”It’s snowing at this time of year!”

”Hmm!”

Mrs. Mu complained about the strange weather, considering it was sunny in the morning and started getting overcast in the afternoon, and before it even got dark, it began to snow.

Mu Yichen responded softly, not dismissing her, just thinking that this was probably the last snow of the year.

”Do you have something to tell me?”

Before entering the house, Qin Mu turned her head with interest and glanced at him, asking.

”Nope!”

Mu Yichen replied, leading her inside.

Qin Mu kept turning her head to look at his face, always trying to see if there was something there until they were almost in the living room when Mu Yichen gently turned her head forward.

——

Qin Mu saw Feng Fanghua sitting on the sofa drinking tea, so she went over to join her.

Mu Yichen also sat beside her, listening to Feng Fanghua talk about the day’s amusing events.

”Jing Qing just left Rongcheng today, thankfully she brought her kids and husband back, otherwise who knows what stories would start circulating!”

Feng Fanghua continued to gossip, talking about how those wealthy wives were gossiping about the man Jing Qing brought back, Zhen Jie, saying it felt like a dream. No one expected Jing Qing to find a Chinese husband abroad.

”Everyone says that past events are like things from many years ago. When I think about it, it really feels like that!”

As Feng Fanghua spoke, her voice softened, tinged with a slight melancholy, as if reminiscing about the past and feeling regretful about the swift passage of time.

”Time really does fly. But didn’t you go to a dance class with Huanhuan today?”

Qin Mu asked curiously.

”We ran into them at the dance class! Those women brought their grandkids to try the dance class as well. They all want the kids to learn dance!”

Feng Fanghua said.

Qin Mu nodded slowly, not quite understanding why everyone wanted their little ones to learn dance. What’s so great about twisting and turning in dance?

”I think our Huanhuan shouldn’t learn dance; learning piano or painting would be better.”

Qin Mu thought for a moment and said.

”Girls learning dance can really help with their poise, and Huanhuan enjoys it too. Whether I like it or not, don’t you think we should respect Huanhuan’s preferences?”

Feng Fanghua said and then turned her head to look inside where the siblings had already gone to the playroom.

Qin Mu now doesn’t fully trust Huanhuan’s preferences, but if she likes it, Qin Mu doesn’t mind her trying it out. If it doesn’t work out, she’ll naturally want to stop.

”What do you think, Mu Yichen?”

Feng Fanghua asked her son when Qin Mu didn’t reply.

”Hmm! As long as she likes it!”

Mu Yichen said, not paying much attention.

Qin Mu gave her husband a look that seemed to say, oh, you’re smoothing things over to make mom happy.

Mu Yichen glanced at her and gave a slight smile, raising his hand to gently stroke her hair.

During dinner, Mu Zihao and the old man returned from outside, and the whole family enjoyed a cheerful meal together. Ever since those two came back, the atmosphere at home had immediately become much livelier.
