His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1737: Chapter 486: Unfathomable Laughter 2

After the children fell asleep, Qin Mu and Mu Yichen returned to the room.

”Mu Yichen, do you have something to tell me?”

Qin Mu was still thinking about that phone call he had before they came home, she felt there was something he wanted to tell her.

Mu Yichen found it quite odd; how could this woman be so sensitive, making him a bit troubled.

Actually, Mu Yichen had found out who was behind the gossip news from their last trip to Paris. When he called her at that time, he hesitated on whether to tell her because they weren’t face-to-face. Just from his tone, she could sense it, and Mu Yichen secretly sighed.

”No! Trust me, okay?”

His eyes were so determined, but Qin Mu couldn’t help her doubt, with the word ”doubt” written all over her eyes.

”If you dare to hide things from me, you’re dead!”

In her heart, Qin Mu really wanted to probe further, but then she thought, if he didn’t want to talk, why force him? After all, it’s just a few things.

Could it be that he found out who was behind the gossip?

Qin Mu thought about this, and still, a bit of surprise flashed in her eyes, but she didn’t press him further.

As the night deepened, the snow had stopped, without much white accumulated on the ground, but it gradually got colder.

Mu Yichen woke up briefly, opened his eyes to see Qin Mu sleeping peacefully in his arms, and tucked the quilt around her to prevent the cold from seeping in.

——

Finally, the lunar month passed, and in the blink of an eye, it was almost April. Everything had long since revived, and Qin Mu’s studio was finally fully staffed.

In the morning, they opened a bottle of champagne, had a simple celebration, and held a welcoming ceremony, after which everyone got back to work.

At the moment, the busiest ones were Xiaomei, who just returned from her honeymoon, and Xiaoyan at the reception desk. They were organizing the pile of orders that suddenly poured in after the New Year.

Qin Mu asked Xiaomei to bring all the orders needing her attention to her office, so Xiaomei sorted them out first and then brought them up.

Hearing those light footsteps, Qin Mu couldn’t help but look up curiously and involuntarily smiled.

The start of a new year, seeing Xiaomei that day, made her feel like she was seeing hope.

Having known Xiaomei for many years, back when they were both young, from their actions to their thoughts, everything was so immature. But now, she had two children, Xiaomei was married, and they both married two good brothers.

Qin Mu couldn’t help but smile, and Xiaomei, who was walking briskly, slowed down because of her gaze, holding the folder in front of her, murmuring: ”Why are you looking at me like that?”

Qin Mu laughed even more.

”Come here! Let me give you a hug!”

Qin Mu stood up from her chair, spreading her arms wide.

Their friendship, like that of sisters.

Xiaomei’s heart moved, then she bashfully hesitated for a moment before quickly running into Qin Mu’s embrace.

”I’ve missed you so much!”

Xiaomei hugged her, confessing like a shy little girl.

”Yeah! Me too! I missed you so much!”

Qin Mu confessed as well.

Both of them couldn’t help but laugh.

Xiaomei only arrived in Rongcheng after ten last night, but to catch up with everyone this morning, she got up early and went to the studio.

Qin Mu felt grateful, knowing Xiaomei’s intentions, and felt even more that this girl was someone she could never let go of.

Their friendship has slowly blossomed over time, becoming like family.

Qin Mu let go of her, raising her hand gently to brush aside the hair on Xiaomei’s forehead.

”How was the honeymoon?”

Qin Mu chatted familiarly with her.

”It was okay, overall it was fine. We did argue in the middle, but we made up quickly!”

As Xiaomei said this, she shyly lowered her head.

Listening to her, Qin Mu imagined the scenes of Xiaomei arguing and making up with Zhao Huai during the honeymoon, and gently patted Xiaomei’s hair.

”Overall, it was still very happy, but I especially missed you!”

When Xiaomei said this, she raised her eyes to look at Qin Mu.

”While you were away, I actually enjoyed the peace and quiet!”

Qin Mu pretended to seriously say to her.

Xiaomei...

”By the way! Xiao Wei had a boy, and Jian Yan is now a dad!”

Qin Mu mentioned some important news to Xiaomei!

”I heard! But it doesn’t seem real, I always thought Jian Yan would be a bachelor forever!”
