His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1749: Chapter 489: Everything Explained (Part 3)

Qin Mu responded and gently pulled Xiaomei along, heading towards the flower shop nearby.

”Oh!”

Xiaomei paused for a moment, then immediately agreed. It’s not appropriate for two girls to visit a patient empty-handed.

”Should we buy lilies? They’re generally used for visiting patients!”

”Not lilies, that one instead!”

Qin Mu glanced around; lilies were indeed too common. She reached out and saw some small white flowers that looked elegant, unassuming, yet gave a reassuring feeling.

Xiaomei didn’t quite understand, but she didn’t ask much about these things. In her heart, she believed that the boss always had her reasons.

Xiaomei was carrying the flowers, Qin Mu had a backpack, Qin Mu wore a dark coat, while Xiaomei wore a light pink coat. Their coats, one long and one short, easily reflected their personalities — one steady, one cheerful.

After reaching upstairs, they heard that Li Yu had already woken up this morning. Feeling relieved, they hurried to the ward entrance.

Qin Mu gently knocked on the door, Li Man opened it from inside, her eyes swollen and dark, clearly from a day of torment yesterday.

”Qin Mu? Xiaomei, you’ve come!”

Li Man was a bit emotional upon seeing them and quickly let them in.

Li Yu’s face had only some minor scratches, nothing serious. After they entered, he, still weak, lifted his eyes to see Qin Mu, then smiled lightly and lowered his eyes again.

Qin Mu glanced at him, powerless in the face of his current state, walked over and gently asked, ”Feeling better?”

”These injuries are not enough to break me!”

Li Yu’s voice lacked its usual power but carried a determined tone.

”These injuries definitely can’t defeat you. We thought you wouldn’t wake up today when we were coming, seems like you’re doing much better than expected!”

Qin Mu spoke softly to him, sitting in the chair nearby.

Li Yu sighed lightly: ”Didn’t expect you to come so quickly!”

After his parents left, people from the company visited, Li Man talked to Wen Runuan over the phone; Wen Runuan said she’d come later. He anticipated he’d meet more visitors today and prepared himself to keep up his spirits, not wanting to let others think he’s half dead due to the accident. But he didn’t expect the first person he’d muster his spirits for would be Qin Mu.

”We initially planned to come later, but Mu always said we should come earlier to see you! Also, he wanted me to bring you his regards!”

As Qin Mu chatted with him, she inadvertently mentioned Mu Yichen. Li Yu smiled again, feeling he could almost accurately guess Mu’s thoughts.

During this, Li Man arranged the flowers Xiaomei brought into a vase and placed them on the cabinet next to him.

”Thank him for his regards on my behalf, and tell him he’s more generous than I imagined!”

Li Yu exchanged pleasantries with Qin Mu.

Qin Mu couldn’t help but lower her head and smile.

”Mu has always been quite generous; he’s just very focused on our Sister Qinqin!”

Xiaomei said from the side, holding back her laughter.

Qin Mu glanced at Xiaomei, thinking to herself how she has plenty to say.

”Makes sense!”

Li Yu’s eyelashes fluttered in agreement.

Qin Mu looked at his leg; she couldn’t discern much, nor dared to ask casually.

”It’s good you woke up! If you need any help, just ask, whether from me or Mu!”

Qin Mu told him.

”Yeah! As for JY’s next quarter’s advertisement, I’m probably out of commission. You’ll have to figure something out!”

Li Yu said.

”I’ve already considered that!”

Qin Mu replied to him.

”Don’t rush to find a new spokesperson; I promise when autumn comes, I’ll definitely stand up again!”

Li Yu assured her, with a look in his eyes that carried a convincing emotion.

”Using last year’s ads this year works fine; I’m just planning on going for a nostalgic theme this year!”

Qin Mu helplessly laughed lightly, almost asking him if it was foolish to worry about that.

Li Yu, if not injured, would have laughed too.

Li Man watched them chat; since Li Yu woke up, he hadn’t spoken much in these two to three hours. When people from his studio visited just now, he only instructed them briefly before letting them leave. But now...

But this is also good; Li Man heard his determination this morning and felt his astonishing willpower.

She had been afraid since yesterday, afraid he couldn’t face the reality upon waking up. Doctors said his leg might never walk again, but his words to Qin Mu earlier ignited her excitement internally. She, like him, firmly believed he would definitely stand up, definitely return to his former self, unharmed.
