His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1712: Chapter 479: The Beginning and the End (24)_3

”Oh? But my arms are stiff!”

Qin Mu pretended to be surprised and then casually spoke the truth.

Mu Yichen...

While the people inside the coffee shop were imagining the loving couple outside, a few words from them had already ruined the atmosphere.

Yet she was still smiling so beautifully, so beautiful that even though Mu always sighed, he couldn’t bring himself to be angry with her.

The coffee time ended, Mu Yichen took a US Dollar bill from his black wallet, pressed it under the coffee cup, and then continued to walk forward with his wife.

The two of them walked in dark blue coats along the clean lakeside, Mu Yichen holding Qin Mu’s hand in his coat pocket.

The road ahead is long, and no matter how many rumors there are, as long as they don’t doubt each other in their hearts, those rumors will remain just rumors.

Qin Mu decided not to mention the Rongcheng incident to him, letting him believe that she didn’t know!

Mu Yichen was even more reluctant to tell her, worrying that she might feel pressured.

By the time they returned home, it was almost dark. They stopped by the supermarket and bought some fresh ingredients.

Once at home, Mu Yichen took charge in the kitchen, while Qin Mu and Xiao Wei sat on the sofa watching dramas and eating fruit.

Xiao Wei felt a bit uneasy, frequently glancing at the kitchen.

”Should I go help? It’s really not appropriate to let Mu cook!”

Xiao Wei said.

”What’s inappropriate? One’s pregnant, the other can’t cook, and he’s strong and skilled in the kitchen!”

Qin Mu explained to Xiao Wei while munching on an apple.

Xiao Wei found Qin Mu’s words unbelievable.

”Being strong doesn’t mean he has to be good at cooking, does Mu really know how to cook?”

Xiao Wei genuinely doubted it.

”You’ll see!”

Qin Mu thought to herself, it’s not just you doubting, I didn’t believe it initially either.

Qin Mu’s eyes gradually deepened, and her apple munching slowed.

She remembered asking him why he could cook, and his answer was, she couldn’t cook, and if he couldn’t either, would they go to a restaurant every day? He also didn’t want to hire a maid to disrupt their intimate world.

She used to think it was a joke to amuse her, but now...

It’s all true!

He’s never been someone good at joking! Qin Mu suddenly realized!

Their trust back then...

Was indeed lacking!

Qin Mu took another fierce bite of her apple and suddenly put it down.

When dinner was ready, Xiao Wei went to see the dishes on the dining table; not only were they beautiful, but also nutritious for pregnant women.

”I suddenly feel like I could eat all of these tonight!”

Xiao Wei said; since her pregnancy, her quality of life had declined, and after Jian Yan left, she hadn’t been serious about living well. It had been a long time since she’d seen such decent dishes.

”I knew you’d like it! Hurry and sit down to eat!”

Qin Mu helped her to sit, then served her rice first.

”I didn’t expect Mu to cook as well as a restaurant chef!”

Xiao Wei couldn’t help but praise before eating.

”Don’t praise him, he’s prone to pride!”

Qin Mu pretended to whisper to Xiao Wei, though the space was so cramped everyone could hear.

Mu Yichen looked at her with indulgent eyes, not the slightest hint of anger.

Xiao Wei chuckled and hurriedly began eating.

Qin Mu suddenly felt hungry too. With the recent flights and house changes, meals hadn’t been great; this homemade meal could make her gain two pounds by morning.

”Wow! Better than Jian Yan’s cooking!”

Xiao Wei praised again.

”Jian Yan’s cooking is actually better, he cooks like making clothes, every little detail must be perfect!”

Qin Mu said, but she ate big mouthfuls.

”Stop eating!”

Mu Yichen said lightly, not too pleased after hearing his wife praise Jian Yan.

”Oh! But I think if he took his time cooking, one could starve half to death. In comparison, Mu’s cooking is better! It’s appealing to all senses and fast!”

Qin Mu immediately praised him.

But Mu was still not happy because of the mention of speed...

Xiao Wei listened to Qin Mu’s explanation and glanced at both Qin Mu and Mu Yichen; they seemed like a pair of jokers, always bickering, yet deeply in love.

Unlike Jian Yan, he rarely joked with her.
