His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1734: Chapter 485: Sulking 2

”Hello, Aunt Xiaohao!”

Chengcheng, being watched by Wang Li, felt a bit shy and dared not look at her, so he greeted her while looking elsewhere.

Qin Mu lowered her head, looking at Chengcheng’s demeanor, couldn’t help but sigh lightly, thinking how rare it was for this kid to be shy.

”Mom, I’m so bored!”

Qin Mu was discussing work with Wang Li, and after a short while, Chengcheng looked up at Qin Mu and said with a sullen voice.

”I’ll take you shopping later. Go sit over there for a bit and wait for me!”

Holding a small notebook, Qin Mu looked down at her son and said.

”Oh!”

Feeling bored, Chengcheng went to sit on the sofa. Seeing some promotional flyers on the table, he casually pulled out two and knelt on the sofa to start folding paper airplanes.

As soon as Qin Mu finished talking with Wang Li and turned her head, a paper airplane flew past her eyes, making her feel like she was suddenly transported back to childhood, in a very surreal way.

”Our little handsome guy knows how to fold paper airplanes, so impressive!”

Wang Li bent down to pick up the plane that had fallen on the ground and said to Chengcheng as she walked towards him.

”My sister taught me, she can even fold rockets!”

Chengcheng spoke to Wang Li gently.

”Really? So Chengcheng’s sister is amazing too, her name is Huanhuan, right?”

Wang Li began chatting with Chengcheng. Chengcheng found her very friendly and pretty. He rarely saw women with short hair and always thought they were special.

”Hmm!”

Qin Mu stood by quietly for a while, listening, and realized that her son seemed to have a particular fondness for women with short hair. She couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed. Should she cut her hair short to win her son’s favor?

But would Mu Chengyang accept it?

Later, Qin Mu took Chengcheng to a nearby beverage shop, ordered two glasses of orange juice, one for each. She originally thought they could sit quietly and finish their drinks, but after just two minutes, her son climbed off the sofa and went to another side. There was a huge shelf by the wall, filled with all kinds of odd trinkets, and a Transformer toy, seemingly a valuable collectible owned by the shopkeeper.

The shopkeeper, after serving drinks to the guests, looked up to see little Chengcheng playing with his Transformer. He frowned but, noticing the silhouette of the woman sitting nearby, went back to tallying the account.

”Be careful, don’t break it!”

Qin Mu twirled her straw and softly cautioned Chengcheng.

”Hmm!”

Chengcheng hugged the Transformer and brought it to their table, sitting on the sofa and playing with it. Qin Mu...

Qin Mu turned to look at the bar, where the shopkeeper just smiled at her, gesturing with his eyes and hands reminding her to ensure Chengcheng didn’t break anything. Qin Mu gratefully smiled back and focused on watching her son play.

It’s strange; their clothing store had been open here for so long, and she knew about this shop, but it was her first time sitting down for a drink, thanks to her son. She didn’t want to drag Chengcheng all over the place, finding the thought alone exhausting. In a bit, she had arranged for Helian Hao to join her for lunch and then head to the amusement park in the afternoon.

As for the morning, Qin Mu decided to spend it in this beverage shop.

”Mu Chengyang, we have so many Transformers at home!”

”But there’s nothing else to do with you around!”

Seeing Chengcheng engrossed in play, Qin Mu couldn’t help but say. Apparently, this kid had other ideas, and his small resentful eyes clearly blamed his mom for not taking him somewhere else to play, leaving him to reluctantly amuse himself with someone else’s Transformer out of boredom.

”Your Aunt Xiaohao will finish work at noon and bring your brother to keep you company. Let’s wait here a bit. It’s so cold outside!”

Qin Mu made up an excuse.

”Mom, you drink more juice, don’t mind me! You can have my glass too!”

Chengcheng pushed his orange juice toward Qin Mu and continued to play with the Transformer intently.

Qin Mu...

Why did she feel like her son was dismissing her?

”Mom, I’m just worried you might get bored!”

Chengcheng thought for a moment, then looked up at Qin Mu with especially caring eyes and explained to her.

Qin Mu...

An unexpected warmth rose in her heart, feeling like a lonely elder being cared for.

For some reason, she chuckled softly. She wasn’t planning to drink any more orange juice, but she leaned back on the sofa, took out her phone to play, and occasionally secretly took pictures of Mu Chengyang playing. Mu Chengyang, in his seriousness...
