His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1733: Chapter 485: Throwing a Tantrum

Liu Jingyuan got divorced, but why did she need to explain it to Mu Yichen? It’s not like she told Liu Jingyuan to get divorced!

Qin Mu felt uneasy. After returning to the room and seeing Mu Yichen sitting on the sofa looking at his phone, she walked over stubbornly and plopped down beside him without saying a word.

Mu Yichen finally tore his eyes away from the phone and turned to look at the woman beside him.

”Still mad at Mom?”

Mu Yichen asked her softly.

”Why would I be mad at Mom? I’m mad at myself; no matter what I say, it’s wrong!”

Qin Mu was frustrated that she couldn’t appease Feng Fanghua. She once thought she had become quite chummy with Feng Fanghua, but today, she once again felt it was nothing but a wishful misunderstanding.

”We all know what kind of person Mom is. What she says might not be what she thinks. You should realize that, right?”

Mu Yichen held his phone in one hand and wrapped her in his arms with the other, explaining and comforting her.

”Hmm! What are you guys talking about in the WeChat group?”

Qin Mu glanced unintentionally and noticed that the WeChat group he had open was buzzing with messages about Liu Jingyuan.

Jiang Zhiyuan even advised Mu Yichen to be careful not to have someone steal him away. Qin Mu couldn’t help but get angry at this and, before Mu Yichen could respond, took his phone and opened the voice message: ”Zhiyuan, isn’t this a bit unkind? Have you forgotten how I helped you chase after An Nan?”

Within ten seconds, the WeChat group went completely silent.

Qin Mu tossed the phone aside, looking a bit aggrieved at Mu Yichen.

Mu Yichen also looked at her, but compared to her gaze, his was much warmer and more comforting.

Seeing his expression made Qin Mu even more upset. She turned around, pounced on him, straddling his legs, and pinched his shoulders while pouting, ”I don’t care, I’m just not happy! How can they say such things? Do I seem like someone who could be stolen away?”

”Of course you’re not! With your temperament, even if Liu Jingyuan tried, he wouldn’t be able to handle it!”

Mu Yichen looked at the stubborn little woman on him, feeling immensely tender. He gently held her slender waist and teased softly.

”Ha! The way you said that, Mu, sounds like you’re just waiting for someone to try!”

Qin Mu pushed his shoulders, angry and embarrassed, frowning at him.

”Mrs. Mu, are you not worried that questioning your husband’s love for you might make him sad?”

Mu Yichen’s deep eyes were filled with affection, his voice infinitely gentle, letting each word pour out slowly, sounding so delightful.

It was as if a needle pricked Qin Mu’s heart, leaving her speechless due to the sudden ache, especially when she was already in a foul mood.

”When I was in the study earlier, what did Mom talk to you about when she came back?”

Mu Yichen asked softly.

Qin Mu looked into Mu Yichen’s eyes and suddenly couldn’t bring herself to tell even a single lie, yet she didn’t want to share what she discussed with Feng Fanghua earlier, so she remained silent.

Later, deep into the night, Qin Mu finally asked her question in a low voice while comfortably lying in Mu Yichen’s arms: ”Mu Yichen, I can understand arguing with me over Jian Yan, but you wouldn’t give me the silent treatment over Liu Jingyuan, would you?”

After asking, Qin Mu looked up at him seriously.

”It seems to me that in your heart, your husband is someone who loves giving the silent treatment!”

Mu Yichen gazed at her with indulgence in his eyes.

”Can you blame me? It’s because you’re so good at it!”

Qin Mu muttered, then lowered her gaze, resting her head on his chest, feeling the strong and steady heartbeat.

Mu Yichen chuckled lightly: ”For this issue, I definitely won’t!”

Not every man is like Jian Yan, capable of scaring him.

Qin Mu sneaked a glance at him and found him smiling, a bewitching smile. Her face started to burn involuntarily, and she felt a bit uneasy under his gaze. Still, it seemed her admiration for him was too strong, making her feel this way.

——

The next morning, Qin Mu took Chengcheng to the store. It was the quietest time of the year, with customers few and far between.

Wang Li was very happy to see her and couldn’t help but keep staring at Chengcheng while greeting her: ”Your little guy is getting more stylish! Hi there, little man!”
